00:00Passengers are expecting to cross the border today to celebrate the new year in their provinces.

00:13After many passengers crossed the border yesterday and the day before,

00:18many passengers are expected to cross the border here in the new Philippines.

00:23Now, Philippine Coast Guard Spokesman Commodore Alger Cafrente said

00:27that the passengers are expected to cross the border to celebrate the new year with their families in the provinces.

00:34If they will follow that, the record of one year is that many passengers suddenly crossed the border

00:40from 132,000 passengers on December 26 to more than 233,000 on December 27.

00:51However, Commodore Alger Cafrente said that the number of passengers is enough and they will not decrease

00:56because our countrymen are expecting to cross the border to other provinces.

01:02In our record on the past year, from a mere 132,000 passengers on December 26 last year

01:12and the day before, on December 27, there were more than 233,000 passengers.

01:20Meanwhile, Philippine Coast Guard is also cautioning passengers on the fixers on the border.

01:31where they are asked for a certain amount in exchange for a quick entry to the pier or ship.
