00:00The Office of Civil Defense is preparing a possible tsunami due to a series of earthquakes in Ilocos Sur.

00:07They are also alerting the local government.

00:16Yes, our countrymen are continuously alerted and the government is prepared in different provinces of the country.

00:25The sheer line and severe weather disturbances are already being reported in several places in the country.

00:32The situation in Bulcang Tanlaon is also being prepared for a tsunami due to a series of earthquakes in Ilocos Sur.

00:39Yesterday, an emergency operations center meeting was held led by the Defense Secretary and NDRRNP Chairperson Dubotio Toro

00:49along with other government agencies.

00:52According to the OCD, due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ airline,

00:59there was widespread flooding in Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Ticol, Eastern Visayas, and Davao regions.

01:06The most affected are in Mimaropa, where 10,000 families and Eastern Visayas arrived.

01:14Of the 52,000 families, one of them was struck dead in Borongas City due to the flooding.

01:21In another emergency preparedness meeting, the OCD Administrator Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno

01:29gave the importance of the early warning system for calamities.

01:33The Regional Task Force in Calaon is also focused on providing public health advisory to the head of the Department of Health,

01:42and ASPOL.

01:44The Series of Earthquakes in Ilocos Sur, Binicaya, and Ticol are also focused on local governments in the province

01:51to provide tsunami monitoring resources for real-time information, which is an important basis for preparedness.

02:00Since December 23, 285 earthquake visualizations have been released in Ilocos Sur,

02:06where 10 earthquakes were felt with intensity 3 to 5 and magnitude 1.8 to 5.
