The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have conducted operations at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, alleging it served as a Hamas stronghold. An Israeli airstrike on December 26 killed 50 people in a building adjacent to the hospital that was housing hospital staff and their families.
On December 27, Israeli forces raided the hospital, leading to the evacuation of patients and staff. Reports indicate that parts of the hospital were set on fire during the raid.

The IDF claims the hospital was used by Hamas militants for terrorist activities. Jonathan Regev reports from Tel Aviv.
