01:42When you are at the doorstep, do you need it or not?
01:47When you are my guardian, you are the wonder of the world.
01:53My boat meets the stormy shore, do you need it or not?
02:00I wish to be close to the dust of Ajmer.
02:06I have come to the threshold of destiny, do you need it or not?
02:12I am always in a state of ecstasy.
02:16And I proudly say to everyone,
02:19the healing of the heart of Sarwar, do you need it or not?
02:25With regards to Hazrat Khawaja Gharib Nawaz, may Allah have mercy on him,
02:28this special program is being presented to you on the occasion of his Urdh.
02:35In which we are presenting the services of the saints,
02:38the reality of Sufism, spirituality,
02:41and the answers to the questions that arise from it,
02:45to our scholars for your guidance.
02:50I would like to say a few words about Hazrat Khawaja Gharib Nawaz, may Allah have mercy on him.
02:56He said that the company of good people is better than doing good deeds,
03:01and the company of bad people is worse than doing bad deeds.
03:06This is the style of the saints, this is their way,
03:11this is their beauty,
03:14that they know the skill of explaining the matter.
03:17The matter that comes out of the heart has an effect,
03:21but not wings, but has the power to fly.
03:24Because they are the companions of the state, the companions of the heart,
03:28the companions of spirituality, the companions of Sufism,
03:32so whatever they say, whatever they do, whatever they mention,
03:37they do it with sincerity, and that is why the words have a lot of humanity in them,
03:44those words have a lot of influence in them.
03:47We feel those words entering our hearts,
03:51and we feel those words coming out of our hearts.
03:57Dear Auliya, those who have,
04:00with regards to our spiritual training,
04:05those who have always continued this tradition,
04:08the Messenger of Allah, may Allah be pleased with him, said,
04:11that the Auliya of my Ummah will be like the Prophets of Bani Israel,
04:16that it is their responsibility to train the hearts of people and to purify their souls.
04:24Today, we are fortunate that a very respected scholar of our AYQTV has come with us.

05:11Verily, the Auliya of Allah have no fear, nor do they grieve.
05:15Allah is the Greatest.
05:17Allahumma Salli ala Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadin

05:32I would like to extend my warmest greetings to all the youth and youths of Pakistan.
05:44First of all, I would like to congratulate the entire AYQTV team

05:55and selecting topics related to Islam and youth.
06:02And today, this series is being held at the University of Gujarat.
06:06And on this occasion, I would like to congratulate Dr. Syed Hamid Farooq Bukhari Sahib
06:10and his entire team, the Department of Islamic Studies,
06:16for organising this beautiful gathering.
06:20Today, I would like to present some of my suggestions to you.
06:25I will present them in light of Islam and the concept of Wilayat.
06:29I have recited the verse of Surah Yunus,
06:31Allah, inna awliyaa Allahi laa khawfun alaihim walaahum yahzanoon.
06:37Allah, the Lord of Glory, has said,
06:40Allah, the Lord of Glory, has drawn people's attention through Allah.
06:46You should pay attention.
06:49Inna awliyaa Allahi laa khawfun alaihim walaahum yahzanoon.
06:54Those who are the saints of Allah,
06:57they are not afraid of anything, nor are they saddened by anything.
07:03Now, in this brief discussion, I would like to say to you,
07:10who are the saints in the Quran and Hadith?
07:14Who are the saints among the Sufis?
07:18What are the merits and qualities of a saint in the Hadith?
07:24The first verse I recited, in Surah Yunus,
07:27mentions the saints.
07:28The saints are a group of saints.
07:31In Arabic, a saint means a lover, a friend, a helper, a truthful person.
07:37In Arabic, a saint means al-qurb wa al-danoob.
07:42It means near and close.
07:46There are two types of nearness.
07:48One is the common nearness and the other is the special nearness.
07:52The common nearness is with every human being,
07:54in fact, every atom of the universe is with its creator and master.
07:59Allah, the Almighty, said in the Holy Quran,
08:01nahnu aqrabu ilaihim min hablil wareed
08:04that we are closer than the east.
08:07The nearness in this blessed verse is the common nearness,
08:10which is with every atom of the universe and, in particular, every human being.
08:15The second type of nearness,
08:17has been interpreted by the commentators as the nearness of love.
08:21Allah, the Almighty, gives this nearness to the chosen ones among the common people.
08:27And when they are given this nearness,
08:30according to the narration of Bukhari,
08:31which was narrated by Sayyidina Abu Hurairah,
08:36Allah, the Almighty, says in the Hadith of Qudsi,
08:39that a person attains nearness to me through the Nawafil.
08:43And then he becomes so much beloved to me,
08:50that I become his ears with whom he listens,
08:54and I become his eyes with whom he sees.
08:58Now, the two types of nearness that I have mentioned to you,
09:01in these two types,
09:04there is nothing but the word nearness.
09:08In the first type of nearness, there are the common people,
09:10and in the second type of nearness, there are those special people,
09:12whom Allah, the Almighty, gives this nearness and honour,
09:15that He makes them His most beloved people.
09:20Now, who is called a saint among the Sufis?
09:23Among the Sufis, a saint is a person,
09:26whose heart is always engaged in the remembrance of Allah,
09:30who is busy in the morning, evening, Tasbeeh and Tahlil,
09:33whose heart is always full of the love of Allah,
09:38and there is no doubt about it.
09:42When this state is achieved, then that person,
09:45loving someone will be for the sake of Allah,
09:49and hating someone will also be for the sake of Allah.
09:54There is a Hadith narrated by Hazrat Sayyiduna Abu Zar Ghaffari R.A.
09:59My beloved Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,
10:03O Companions,
10:05do you know which of the deeds of love for Allah,
10:09which of the deeds of love for Allah, is the most favoured?
10:14Some say Salat, some say Jihad, some say Zakat.
10:20Some say Namaz, some say Jihad, some say Zakat.
10:23But my beloved Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,
10:27that the most favoured deed of Allah,
10:32is love for Allah and hatred for Allah.
10:34For the sake of His pleasure, one should love people,
10:38and for the sake of His pleasure, one should hate people.
10:42Now, according to the description of a saint by the Sufis,
10:46the Hadith, which has been described by the Sufis,
10:49that too is in accordance with the Hadith,
10:51and is in complete accordance with the instructions of Allah.
10:55Now, Allah has not just mentioned one place in the Holy Quran,
10:58but has mentioned the rank of the saints in several places.
11:04And the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
11:06has also mentioned this in his Hadith.
11:09The Hadith which I have recited in the Ayat-e-Karima,
11:11with reference to the glory of its revelation,
11:13is narrated by Hazrat Sayyidna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him.
11:18The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,
11:20that on the Day of Judgment, Allah will grant a few of His servants that rank,
11:26which will be seen by the Prophets and the Martyrs.
11:31The Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, said,
11:33O Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
11:36who will be those fortunate people?
11:39The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,
11:41O my Companions, those fortunate people will be those
11:44who love each other only for the sake of Allah's pleasure.
11:48Those who love each other only for the sake of Allah's pleasure.
11:52They have no financial gain, no blood relation, nothing.
11:57They love each other for the sake of Allah's pleasure,
12:00and only for the sake of Allah's pleasure do they love each other.
12:06The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,
12:08that their faces will be shining with light.
12:11This is a narration from Bukhari.
12:13The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,
12:15that their faces will be shining with light.
12:20At that time, Allah, the Lord of Glory, will say,
12:22Surely, the friends of Allah have no fear, nor do they grieve.
12:27No doubt, those who are my friends,
12:30their status and rank will be such that
12:32even today they have no fear of anything,
12:35nor are they saddened by anything.
12:38Now, this is something to remember.
12:40Allah, the Lord of Glory, has mentioned fear and grief as two things.
12:44In general, our temperament is such that
12:47the term grief is related to the past.
12:53If I have lost something, if I have incurred a loss,
12:56if I have regret or grief over it,
12:58and I may have fear or worry about the future.
13:02Now, fear or grief,
13:04those who are pious servants of Allah,
13:06those who come close to Allah,
13:08those who come under the protection of Allah's mercy,
13:11neither will they have any regret or grief about the past,
13:14nor will they have any worry about the future.
13:17Because every moment of their life
13:20passes according to the will of Allah.
13:22And Allah, the Lord of Glory, passes in the shade of His mercy.
13:26And the one who is connected to Allah, the Lord of Glory,
13:28then my Lord grants him success in this world
13:31and in the hereafter as well.
13:33If Allah wills, if there is life,
13:35then I will continue this topic in another session.
13:38For now, I will take leave from you.
13:40There is nothing against us except that which is clear and evident.
13:43Yes, Syed Fahim Shahzad Bukhari Sahib was speaking in a very beautiful way.
13:48And surely, you must have some question in your mind.
13:53So, taking advantage of this opportunity, please ask your question.
13:57Peace be upon you.
13:58Sir, my question to you is that, is it not possible for a saint to commit a sin?
14:02Okay, my sister has asked a very beautiful question.
14:04Basically, it should be remembered that
14:07after prophets and messengers,
14:09there is no such person who cannot commit a sin.
14:13The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,
14:16that every human being is a sinner and the best sinner is the one
14:27who turns to Allah and repents.
14:30Yes, when a person comes in the shade of Allah, the Lord of Glory,
14:33as I was saying at the end of my speech,
14:37then the possibility of committing a sin decreases.
14:40The possibility of committing a sin is less than that of prophets and messengers.
14:47But those who dedicate their lives for the sake of Allah and His Messenger,
14:51Allah, the Lord of Glory, protects them from sin with His grace and mercy.
14:55But even if a person commits a sin,
14:57the difference between a common person and a saint is that
14:59a common person will turn to that sin
15:01or he will not be able to repent, he will become stubborn.
15:04If a saint commits a sin, he will immediately turn to Allah
15:07and repent and become free from his sin.
15:11Peace be upon you.
15:12My question is, do the saints worship at all times?
15:16We are talking about the teachings of the saints.
15:22My answer is that they worship at all times.
15:26The basic reason for this is that Allah, the Lord of Glory,
15:28has said in the Holy Quran,
15:29that the only purpose of the creation of man and jinn is to worship the Lord.
15:37But the thing to understand is that in our society,
15:40what we consider to be worship in general,
15:43like prayer, fasting, Hajj, Zakat, these are the basic forms of worship.
15:47But if a person spends every moment of his life
15:50following the instructions given by Allah,
15:54then my Lord will consider every moment of his life to be worship.
15:58For example, if a person follows the instructions given by Allah and His Beloved,
16:05then it is worship.
16:09If you and I are learning religion,
16:13then it will definitely be considered worship.
16:16The life of the saints is either for the service of the creation,
16:19or in worship of the Creator,
16:21or they are in some work,
16:23then we can definitely consider every moment of their life to be worship.
16:26Peace be upon you.
16:30My question is that do the saints live without eating?
16:36The answer to this is definitely no.
16:38Because food is the need of the human body.
16:42The attributes of the Creator of the universe,
16:46the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
16:50used to eat and drink.
16:53I will quickly explain the meaning of the Hadith of Mubarak.
16:57Three Companions made a promise to each other.
17:00One said that I will fast all my life and never do Iftar.
17:05One Companion said that I will worship all night.
17:09They made a promise to each other.
17:11One said that I will not get married.
17:13When this complaint reached the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
17:16he said that I am more grateful to Allah than you.
17:20I am afraid of Allah.
17:21I am married, I eat, I fast, I do Iftar, I fast all day,
17:27I sleep some part of the night, I worship some part of the night.
17:32Therefore, the rightful saint will be the one
17:35who will live his life according to the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
17:40We can call him a saint.
17:42And in Shariah, he will get the status of a saint from Allah.
17:45Therefore, it is not true to say that a saint does not eat or drink.
17:49It is possible that he eats less than others.
17:51Because when he eats more, then there can be a violation in worship.
17:55So, a common man will not have any account of his food.
17:59He will eat according to etiquette, according to Sunnah.
18:03But he must eat.
18:05Thank you very much, Mr. Syed Muhammad Fahim Shahzad Bukhari.
18:08Thank you very much for your guidance and for the students.
18:11They asked very good questions.
18:13The time for Islam and the youth has come to an end.
18:17I would like to thank the whole administration of the University of Gujarat.
18:23We will meet in the next program.
18:27Dr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi would like to take your leave.
