00:00What's on this week in Manchester?
00:02Hello and welcome to 2025 and our very first video of this kind of the new year.
00:06Wicked the Musical is on until this Sunday at the Palace Theatre and it's a wonderful show according to all who've attended.
00:12Unlike the film, it tells the full story of Glinda and Elphaba and while tickets will be hard to come by this late on in its run, it's well worth a try.
00:19At Manchester Museum, a new exhibit called Wild opened earlier this week which serves to examine the relationship between humans and the natural world.
00:25There's some great pieces of art and a lot of focus on the climate crisis too.
00:29One of my favourite plays, An Inspector Calls, is on at the Lowry as of this Tuesday following the story of the Birling family as a visiting inspector tells them of the death of a young woman.
00:38It's truly a great play and I look forward to seeing this interpretation.
00:41This weekend, the Science and Industry Museum will play host to Power Up, a gaming event that leads visitors through 50 years of games looking right the way back to classics such as Pac-Man.
00:49There are a host of other fun opportunities such as the R&B Bunch at Beer Keller on Saturday, an arcade party at NQ64 on Friday night and a Japanese whiskey masterclass at the Peter Street Kitchen.
