Everton enter the January transfer window in desperate need of reinforcements as they battle to secure their Premier League survival. With financial constraints and potential Profit and Sustainability Rule (PSR) concerns looming, the Toffees must be smart in the market, targeting bargain deals, loan signings, and possible outgoings to balance the books.

00:00We've obviously discussed a number of times in terms of the freaking group allowing funds
00:07and not really having an amazing breathing room to give Sean Dyche in this window. We've
00:12also looked at their squad and the amount of loans they have the most in the Premier
00:17League. In terms of a bit of a buy one, sell one situation, if they did have the funds
00:23to do it, what position would you target for Everton for the remainder of this season to
00:27make sure they're sort of out of it? And then maybe a player who is sort of coming
00:33near the end of their time and we've obviously mentioned Dominic Calvert-Lewin's contract
00:37situation as well. So just a bit of a buy one, sell one in terms of Everton.
00:42Yeah, I think a lot of fans would agree that either a winger or a left back would be high
00:47on the priority list. Look, Everton, that right hand side in particular has really,
00:53really been lacklustre. Jack Harrison hasn't done it. Jesper Lindstrom's coming from Napoli
01:00and just doesn't look like a Sean Dyche player. It's a problem position for Everton. He's
01:06tweaked it a little bit. He ended up playing Ashley Young there for the second half against
01:10Bournemouth and Ashley Young's 39. His days of being a winger are well gone. They were
01:17well gone when he was probably at Aston Villa and he played the wing back when he was heading
01:22into Milan. So he hasn't been a winger for a long time. They need someone with pace,
01:28someone who can get them up the pitch, someone who can get fans off the seats and get balls
01:34into the box as well. Willem Dye is a little bit more of a different winger when he plays
01:41out wide because he has been a number 10. So maybe you play someone who hugs the touchline,
01:48beats his man, gets crosses into the box and the left back, Tylee Michalenko, has a struggle
01:54this campaign. They make no bones about it. In terms of maybe a player who Everton could sell,
02:00you probably, as you say, even off the coming for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, maybe Everton couldn't
02:05turn that one down. But it looks like Beto might be on the move. Some raw attributes,
02:11been a bit of a pest when he comes off the bench, but he just hasn't developed really
02:16into a Premier League strike. And I think that if Everton can get, not what they paid for,
02:22but in terms of PSR, the immortalisation of it, if you can get that, then Everton would have done
02:28well because he has a good spell in Italy, Beto, and an Italian club might think that they can get
02:35the best out of him and he can score goals back in Serie A. So I think if you look at that,
02:43Beto Owens, any of the players who have the contract, it would be interesting if an offer
02:47came in, say, an Abdoulaye Toukouri. I think he's had Sazi interest in the past. If an offer
02:52came in for him, worth ÂŁ8-10 million, you might have to weigh that one up as well.
