00:00 Looking at the transfer situation ahead of the summer, you said it was going to be difficult
00:07 in terms of players that need to stay for them to make progress in this division, the
00:13 likes of Jarrod Brantway. I'm sure clubs might be in for him in the summer after his
00:18 fantastic season. Players who need to stay and players who they might look to get in
00:23 or positions they might need to fill in the summer?
00:26 Yeah, I mean as you say Jarrod Brantway is the prized asset. I'm sure he'll be covered
00:31 by a lot of clubs and if he goes you're going to have to go and get another centre-back
00:35 to be honest to play alongside James Tarkowski. It's difficult to replace Brantway just because
00:40 of his attributes but you've got Michael Keane, the club hasn't played all season and his
00:45 career has been on the slide. He started the season ahead of Brantway and didn't really
00:49 take his chance. Ben Godfrey, the doubt, can he play in the back four rather than the back
00:55 three when you're playing three centre-backs? At the minute they'll only have Dwight McNeil
01:01 on the books as an out-and-out wide player. Jack Harrison, Sloane Deal at Leeds United
01:06 has come to a conclusion. Sean Dyche wasn't too emphatic whether Evan would be able to
01:11 do anything to bring him in permanently or not. Abdel Dume has been injured and he hasn't
01:15 played a lot anyway. I don't think he's a Sean Dyche type of player. Ashley Young is
01:20 the other one who is out of contract and is going to be 39 in July. Even if he does stay
01:25 he'll still be very much an auxiliary player you would think. So wide players are going
01:31 to need at least two, maybe three because I think Dwight McNeil has played too much
01:35 this season for as good as he's been. He has a dip where he just looks absolutely exhausted
01:40 and I think he needs to be managed better. Then on the midfield situation I think Evan
01:48 might need some midfielders in. Michalenko is excellent defensively but there are some
01:54 games where you need that little bit more from the full-back going forwards and Michalenko
02:00 just improves in that aspect, he just doesn't give you that really. So it could be quite
02:05 a busy summer for Sean Dyche but it will be difficult and I think they're going to have
02:09 to be creative in how they get deals done again.
02:13 Just quickly on the fact you said there that these last few games Dyche is going to want
02:19 to maybe show players who could come in that there is something building here, obviously
02:24 the new stadium as well soon. How important are these few games to show players that there
02:29 can be a good future at Everton?
02:31 I think so. I think he knows that the Knox are in about this season and he'll want to
02:40 finish on a high, not only that but the prize money as well because I think it's maybe ÂŁ2.7
02:45 or ÂŁ2.8 million per place and given Everton's financial situation that's not something that
02:50 he can afford to pass up to be honest with you. So yes, building momentum, getting it
02:57 going into next season is crucial.
