00:00In terms of Everton and the January window, we've obviously discussed a number of times
00:05in terms of the freaking group allowing funds and not really having an amazing breathing
00:11room to give Sean Dyche in this window. We've also looked at their squad and the amount
00:17of loans they have the most in the Premier League. In terms of a bit of a buy-one-sell-one
00:23situation, if they did have the funds to do it, what position would you target for Everton
00:28for the remainder of this season to make sure they're sort of out of it and then maybe
00:33a player who is sort of coming near the end of their time. We've obviously mentioned Dominic
00:38Carvett-Lewin's contract situation as well. So just a bit of a buy-one-sell-one in terms
00:43of Everton.
00:44Yeah, I think a lot of fans would agree that either a winger or a left-back would be high
00:49on the priority list. Look, Everton, that right-hand side in particular has really,
00:55really been lacklustre. Jack Harrison hasn't done it. Jesper Lindstrom's coming from Napoli
01:02and just doesn't look like a Sean Dyche player. It's a problem position for Everton. We've
01:07tweaked it a little bit. He ended up playing Ashley Young there for the second half against
01:12Bournemouth and Ashley Young's 39. His days of being a winger are well gone. They were
01:18well gone when he was probably at Aston Villa and he played the wing-back when he was at
01:23Inter Milan. So he hasn't been a winger for a long time. They need someone with pace,
01:30someone who can get them up the pitch, someone who can get fans up off the seats and get
01:35balls into the box as well. Willem Dye is a little bit more of a different winger when
01:42he plays out wide because he has been a No. 10. So maybe you play someone who hugs the
01:48touchline, beats his man, gets crosses into the box and a left-back, say Vitaly Mikhalkov,
01:55has a struggle this campaign. Make no bones about it. In terms of maybe a player who Everton
02:01could sell, you'd probably, as you say, have an offer coming for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
02:06Maybe Everton couldn't turn that one down, but it looks like Beto might be on the move.
02:12He's probably dropped down to... Well, he has dropped down to third choice now with
02:16Rojan and Calvert-Lewin ahead, and it hasn't worked for him since he arrived from Udinese
02:22in the summer of 2023. There have been some glimpses, some raw attributes, been a bit
02:29of a pest when he comes off the bench, but he just hasn't developed really into a Premier
02:34League striker. And I think that if Everton can get, not what they paid for, but in terms
02:40of PSR, the amortisation of it, if you can get that, then Everton would have done well
02:46because he has a good spell in Italy, Beto, and an Italian club might think that they
02:52can get the best out of him and he can score goals back in Serie A. So I think if you're
02:59looking at that, Beto, and any of the players who has a contract, it would be interesting
03:04if an offer came in, say, in an afterlife to Corey. I think he's had Sazi interest in
03:09the past. If an offer came in for him worth £8-10 million, you might have to weigh that
03:14one up as well.
