00:13Diane, the Commission on Elections just announced that they are officially suspending the printing of balotas for the 2025 national and local elections.

00:26This is to violate the order of the Supreme Court to include the names of the five candidates who were previously declared as nuisance and disqualified candidates.

00:38These are Subair, Gintum, Mustafa, who is running as a senator, and there are four other names who are running for local positions.

00:48Because of the suspension of the printing of balotas, the Comelec said that they will first study if they need to create a new database for the candidates.

01:01Because every candidate who is printed with balotas has a serial number, they will do automated elections for the national and local elections.

01:10They will study if the serial number or database of each candidate will change.

01:16The Mac Elections schedule will not be adjusted because of the suspension. It should be done on Saturday.

01:24All candidates who were previously printed with balotas, it is possible that they will be printed again.

01:31The Commission on Elections said that the public should not be worried. There will be a slight delay in the printing of balotas
