00:00Good afternoon it's Thursday the 16th of January 2025 and here are the latest
00:04transport headlines from across Yorkshire. So we'll start with Sheffa
00:08Wednesday and there was a rather explosive fans forum held last night in
00:12which Dave Fonchan-Siri, the Sheffa Wednesday owner, spoke directly to a
00:16group of Sheffa Wednesday supporters. He confirmed very late on in the evening
00:20that Southampton had exercised their option to recall midfielder Shea Charles
00:24from his loan spell. He's been a really influential figure for the Owls this
00:27season. Now reports have suggested he could still play for Sheffa Wednesday in
00:31the next two games and that a fresh loan agreement could be reached but there has
00:36been a spanner thrown in the works by reports linking Sheffield United with a
00:39move for Charles. Obviously he would be crossing the Steel City-Derby divide. It
00:43would be a huge move to make for him, for Sheffield United as well, to sign a
00:47player so popular at Hillsborough and the Blades have been linked with a
00:51swoop for him. Reports have suggested that he was a player they looked at back
00:54in the summer. Adam Phillips over at Barnsley has been linked with clubs in
01:00the Championship but Darryl Clark, the Barnsley manager, has come out to say
01:03that there have been no bids lodged for him. Speaking to the press he said that
01:07Fillo is obviously a talented player but there's been no bids. We've obviously got
01:11quite a few talented players and there's been no bids for any of our other
01:14leading players. It's business as usual. That's the latest from Darryl Clark at
01:18Barnsley. And Sheffield United have been linked with another midfielder so
01:22reports have suggested that Leicester City's Hamza Chowdhury is the club's
01:25primary target but Shea Charles has been linked as well and so has Tommy Doyle.
01:29He's a player the Blades fans know really well. He spent the 2022-23 season on loan
01:35at Bramall Lane and helped the club seal promotion to the Premier League. He's now
01:38on the books of Wolverhampton Wanderers but has made just three league starts
01:41for Wolves this season and the Blades are said to be considering a move to bring
01:45him back to Bramall Lane. And then looking at former players there's been a
01:49couple of familiar figures in Yorkshire who've been on the move. Aaron Connolly
01:53spent last season at Hull City, also formerly of Middlesbrough, has signed for
01:57Millwall after finding opportunities limited at Sunderland and Callum Cook
02:01formerly of Bradford City and Middlesbrough has been reunited with his
02:04former Bantams boss Derek Adams in League Two with Morecambe.
