00:00The Philippines and America conducted the first maritime cooperative activity in the West Philippine Sea on January 17 and 18.
00:09According to the AFP Public Affairs Office Chief, Colonel Circes Trinidad,
00:13the MCA was conducted in Palawan in the WPS,
00:18along with the US Indo-Pacific Command,
00:20as well as the USS Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group,
00:24USS Princeton,
00:25USS Sterrett,
00:27MH-60 Seahawk Helicopter,
00:30and F-1 Hornet Jet Fighters.
00:32The AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Browner explained that
00:37the MCPA's goal is to promote the defense cooperation of the Philippines.
00:42Browner said that this is part of the promise of the two countries
00:46that the region will be safe and secure.
