Palestinians flocked to the streets near Ramallah in the Israeli occupied West Bank on Monday (Jan 20) to welcome Palestinian inmates who were freed from Israeli prisons as part of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Among those released were Abla Saadat, the wife of Ahmed Saadat, the secretary-general of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and political activist Khalida Jarrar.
