00:00Hi Sadler's fans. I spoke to Matt Sadler earlier today at Esserton to get the very latest on
00:07Donovan Daniels and his calf injury. The defender went down in the 23rd minute against Peterborough
00:16in the EFL Trophy last week and played no further part as he trudged down the tunnel
00:22at the full-time whistle. Matt Sadler said he is poised for a spell on the sidelines
00:29when I spoke to him last Thursday. He said that he was set to undergo a scan at the start
00:35of this week so he missed that 4-2 victory against MK Dons. Unfortunately the Walsall
00:42boss has confirmed that he will be out for at least 8-10 weeks which will keep him out
00:50really until April. So he could still have a part to play in the League 2 run-in but
00:58it's a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Matt Sadler also said that the players who are
01:02currently out injured, George Hall, Jack Heeran, Priestley, Farquharson, are probably all targeting
01:09a similar return date. So four players that could return during the League 2 run-in but
01:15yeah for now Donovan Daniels, what a difficult 12 months it's been for him in terms of injuries.
01:22Missed two months towards the back end of last season after virtually being an ever-present
01:27prior to that injury in February last year. Then injured his knee on international duty
01:33with Montserrat and had to cut his pre-season short. Missed the first several weeks of the
01:39season and he struggled to get back in really with Walsall's defence being so settled. So
01:44yeah another real setback for the Walsall captain.
