00:00Good afternoon and welcome to our latest weather update from the Met Office. So storm Aon brought
00:05disruption for many of us through Friday. It is gradually moving away towards Scandinavia
00:09as we head through the rest of the weekend. But then it's all eyes out towards the west
00:12as we see this weather front arriving through Saturday evening. We then see a brief ridge
00:16of high pressure before all eyes out to the west again as we see another area of low pressure
00:20arriving bringing further spells of wet and quite windy weather to southern parts of the
00:25UK into the new working week. Before we get there though, there will be plenty of sunshine
00:29on offer for many of us on Saturday afternoon, a welcome change from what we saw on Friday.
00:34We do see that weather front though arriving across parts of Northern Ireland, some quite
00:37heavy downpours likely here and perhaps some sleet and snow over any high ground too. Temperatures
00:43will be round about average for the time of year for many of us, 6, 7, 8, perhaps 9 degrees
00:47across the very far south and 4 to 6 degrees across the north. It will still be quite blustery
00:52across the Northern Isles and we could still see some showers here too. As we then go through
00:57Saturday evening, that weather front across Northern Ireland spreads its way eastwards
01:01into northern parts of England, parts of Wales and parts of Scotland too and we could see
01:05some sleet and snow over the high ground. It generally fizzles out by the time it gets
01:08to much of England but there will still be a few showery outbreaks into the early hours
01:12of Sunday morning. Behind that weather front we do see some clear spells developing and
01:16that will allow temperatures to drop off, particularly across parts of Northern Ireland
01:19and Scotland and we'll see temperatures dropping below freezing here which could lead to some
01:23frost and some icy stretches to start the day on Sunday. Perhaps not quite as cold
01:27across the far south of the UK although temperatures here still dropping down into the low single
01:32figure. So for all of us, likely to be quite a chilly start to the day on Sunday but quite
01:36a cloudy start too for much of England and Wales. We see that weather front pushing up
01:40from the south-west, spreading its way north and eastwards through into Sunday afternoon,
01:44bringing some really quite heavy downpours across parts of Wales, southern parts of England
01:48and then into parts of Northern Ireland, northern England and eastern parts of England through
01:52Sunday afternoon. For Scotland though, a dry afternoon for many and plenty of sunshine
01:56on offer. Temperatures for most of us again will be around about average for the time
02:00of year although we're just drawing up a little bit of milder air across the very far south
02:04so temperatures here around 10 or 11 degrees although perhaps not feeling like that with
02:08those strong south-westerly winds. As we then go through Sunday evening that weather front
02:12pushes further north into parts of Scotland where we could again see some sleet and snow
02:16over the high ground and we'll see some blustery showers feeding in across the south-west too.
02:21We then see this next weather front arriving across the very far south so further outbreaks
02:25of heavy rain across southern parts of England into the start of Monday and that could cause
02:29some disruption as we head into the new working week. So do make sure you keep up to date
