00:00A 23-year-old man was killed in a car accident at the Kermpastol Plaza along the North-South

00:10Johor Bahru North OCPD Assistant Commissioner Balveer Singh said the incident occurred around
00:166.15 am at kilometre 7.8 heading south.
00:21In a statement, ACP Balveer said initial investigations suggest the victim lost control of his vehicle,
00:27causing it to crash into the concrete divider at the toll plaza.
00:31The impact of the crash caused severe head injuries and the victim was pronounced dead
00:36at the scene.
00:37The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act,
00:431987.

00:55Kermpast Fire and Rescue Station Operation Commander Wan Noor Effendi said eight firemen
01:01along with one fire rescue tender and one emergency medical rescue service team were
01:06deployed to the scene.
01:07He added that the firemen used special equipment to extricate the victim from the wrecked vehicle,
01:13where he was pronounced dead by health ministry personnel.
