00:00Yeah, this has been like a really good five days and yet, I think that's been like 90% of the talk afterwards.
00:08The whole booing and stuff. So, I mean, that's the kind of impact it has.
00:12We should be talking about what, you know, Rhys has won his game at Middlesbrough,
00:15Hasmait's won his at Watford with six points from two tough games.
00:19It just puts a little bit of a stain on it, which is a real shame.
00:22And I'm glad the manager called it ridiculous afterwards.
00:25He won't, he won't like shy away from that stuff.
00:29I think it's also important to not just slag it off, but say,
00:34kind of come up with a solution or alternative.
00:36And someone made a good point to me afterwards that it doesn't,
00:39they don't think people actually take context of the game into mind.
00:44They've just got these opinions and views that they come to the game with.
00:49It doesn't even matter what's going on.
00:50So Hasmait just comes off, he'll get booed.
00:53But he'd run his course yesterday, run his race yesterday, he was shattered.
00:58There was space in behind Borough's defence.
01:01It was genuinely made for Rhys to come on.
01:03So I think people need to just understand it a little bit more,
01:07try and, you know, ultimately a manager's making that decision.
01:12He's won promotion, so he's a professional football manager of a championship team.
01:16So instead of like just booing, maybe think, hold on, let me try and understand that.
01:20Why is he, why might he be doing that?
01:22And it's not a hard one to try and understand really, is it?
01:26No, it's not. It's bottom.
01:30Just really disappointing really for me because, I mean, we won at Watford,
01:35great win, you get on Twitter and all the talk really is about Rhys
01:39and like how Rhys was useless when he came on.
01:41Odd, yesterday, great win against Middlesbrough, great game, great occasion.
01:45But again, it's marred by that booing for me.
01:51The fan base has become really negative.
01:54It wasn't that when we were growing up.
01:56It's become, it's not a nice place to be going on North End now, I don't think.
02:02It's toxic.
02:03There is, yeah, there's a lot of negativity.
02:06Yeah, and to me, obviously the birth of Twitter and all that
02:10will not have helped any of that because people read that nonsense on Twitter quite often.
02:16It's always the same accounts that are so negative.
02:19They've never liked a manager we've ever had seemingly.
02:24And like that just transcends onto the terraces, 100%, I think anyway.
02:30And there's people who have preconceived ideas of how a player's played
02:35before the ball's kicked as well, 100%.
02:38Like Woodman was that, Rhys at the moment is that, Brady's been that,
02:41Ledsen's been that, a whole host of players have been that.
02:47Yeah, so it winds me up no end.
02:51Ultimately, we're not going to change it.
02:52The fan base has really changed.
02:54And then using that excuse about, well, we pay our money and we can do what we want.
02:58Well, that's fine, but I mean, it's a pathetic excuse.
03:03It's basically, to me, it's admitting you're wrong,
03:06but because I've paid 20-odd quid to go on the contest, I can do what I want.
03:10Which, some people need to grow up.
03:14Grown adults.
03:16Yeah, I think you mentioned a few episodes ago there's general apathy
03:19for the behind-the-scenes, off-the-pitch stuff.
03:22No real belief that we can kind of push for better things.
03:26I think it's good to call that stuff out and try and strive for better in that regard.
03:30But when that's affecting you on a match day, that's a really dangerous place to be.
03:35You've got to try and separate the two.
03:37For those 90 minutes, you've got to get behind the team.
03:40And they're playing well at the minute and doing well.
03:43Go back to 1-1 at home to Middlesbrough.
03:46There shouldn't be a boo in the stadium.
03:48It's just insane.
03:50Realistically, the whole ground ought to be immersed in that game against Borough.
03:55It's one apiece. You're in the game.
03:57It's a really enjoyable contest.
04:00To even think about booing, to me, is just unfathomable.
04:05But I know we're on the same wavelength.
04:07If we had someone on here who'd booed, he might be able to explain why he booed.
04:15It's just that Osmah obsession, isn't it?
04:18He's the man kind of thing.
04:21I think he's good. I think he's a really dangerous striker in certain games.
04:25I think he worked really hard yesterday.
04:27He got back and won the ball back a few times.
04:29He flipped the ball for Todd Arsene.
04:32I think he's pretty knackered.
04:34He'd had a chance to run through and score at 1-0.
04:37Overdone his touch and then Borough go and equalise.
04:39Imagine if Reet had done that.
04:41There'd probably been boos then.
04:44Like you said, you've got a decent strike force there.
04:47Why would the thing not be to get behind each and every one of them?
04:51And every player, really.
04:53Like you said, there's always got to be a target.
04:55I think it's been going back a few years.
04:57There's been countless of them.
04:59It's just not nice.
05:01They're probably in there thinking,
05:02am I going to be next, kind of thing.
05:04It was Keane recently.
05:07These are decent players, really.
05:10They'll have dipping form.
05:11If they'd been playing 9 out of 10 every week in Champ,
05:13they wouldn't be here.
05:15You've got to accept that they won't be brilliant every game,
05:18but they're here for a reason and they need support.
05:22You made a great point there about, yes,
05:25you need that sort of critique of the ownership
05:30or the running of the club 100%,
05:32and that's a good thing.
05:33It's healthy.
05:35But for the 90 minutes, your role as a fan, ultimately,
05:38is to try to cheer the lads on, get behind them.
05:41And the booing is just completely the opposite of that.
05:47If you're walking off deep now yesterday,
05:51you just beat Middlesbrough,
05:52but in the back of your mind, you know you've booed a sub.
05:55I'm not sure how you can sort of live with yourself, really.
06:00I know it's a little bit over the top,
06:02but you'd be so embarrassed, wouldn't you?
06:07It used to be like, if you heard a boo in a ground,
06:10you'd be almost stunned, kind of thing.
06:12It'd be if you're 5-0 down,
06:14or players genuinely aren't running,
06:16and they're 3-0 down, or they've been awful.
06:19It'd be a really kind of exceptional thing.
06:22Now we're doing it 1-1 at home to Team Fifth.
06:24I mean, come on.
06:26If that's the state of football now,
06:28it's in a bad place, isn't it, really?
06:30But anyway.
