00:19Comelec will continue to coordinate with the various government bodies

00:23so that the May 2025 National and Local Elections can be held safely.

00:28According to Comelec Cordillera Regional Director-Attorney Julius Torres,

00:32everyone is working hard for a peaceful and safe election.

00:36We cannot do this alone.

00:38We need you.

00:39In fact, Comelec does not have any employees.

00:42That's why we have our Electoral Boards from the PNP to hold elections.

00:47But as we say, let's continue to plan.

00:50Let's continue to prepare.

00:52Because as they say, failure to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

00:56The commission also increased the number of provincial election officers who can coordinate with the PNP

01:01for the possible appointment of police officers who will serve as members of the Electoral Board if necessary.

01:07The Police Regional Office Cordillera assured that it will provide additional support to the places

01:13that are in the orange and yellow categories.

01:16Currently, there are three towns in the region that are in the orange category

01:19while seven are in the yellow category.

01:22Most of these places are in the yellow category

01:24which is why the Cordillera Police increased their forces in the province.

01:29Hopefully, what we have increased is the number of security deployments that are needed.

01:35But we do not know that until the election is near.

01:39We will focus on the upcoming elections.

01:43We know that there will be election-related incidents.

01:49Plus, intense political rivalry.

01:52The PNP hopes that there will be no places in the region that will be counted in the red category.
