00:00With these delicious dishes on screen,
00:02is it just delicious at first glance?
00:04That is our challenge to our Kapuso stars as they recreate online recipes
00:10for your page in social media and for your plate.
00:16Whether you are a chef or not,
00:17you are probably still familiar with the version of Adobo that is mixed with soft drinks.
00:21And since this recipe is now popular online,
00:24we challenged Kapuso Chef Aaron Villena to cook it in our Farm-to-Table Kitchen.
00:30So first, these are our ingredients.
00:32Of course, we need pork belly, the garlic, the onion,
00:36and of course, if you want it to be a bit spicy, you can add chili.
00:39And of course, our soda, soy sauce, the laurel,
00:43and of course, the salt and pepper.
00:47And of course, our Adobo is incomplete without vinegar.
00:52So here, let's start with the pork.
00:54Of course, we'll put it in a big bowl.
00:56There.
00:57It doesn't matter how much you put in.
00:58It really depends on your taste.
01:00But of course, don't put too much soy sauce.
01:02Just the right amount.
01:04From what I've seen online,
01:06they marinate it for 6 to 12 hours.
01:09So sometimes, I do that.
01:11But sometimes, if you just suddenly thought of it,
01:13you can do it for at least 2 hours.
01:16Because the taste will be absorbed.
01:18Let's add a bit more.
01:19There.
01:21A bit more soy sauce.
01:23And then, let's just mix it.
01:26So we'll just marinate it for 6 hours.
01:30You can also put it in the fridge
01:32if you're going to use it the next day or eat it.
01:35So there.
01:36Okay.
01:37Let's set it aside first.
01:39Then we prepare the garlic, onion, and chili.
01:43There.
01:44Isn't this easy, guys?
01:45You can eat this at home.
01:47I only saw this online.
01:49So here it is.
01:50We're here in the pan.
01:51We're heating the pan.
01:52And then, of course, let's add the oil.
02:01And then,
02:02let's put it directly in the pan.
02:05There.
02:12So let's just wait until the pork turns golden brown
02:16so that we're really sure that the meat will be cooked.
02:22And then, just mix it so that the onion and garlic
02:27will stick to our pork belly.
02:36I guess this is ready.
02:39It's a bit golden brown already.
02:41So we'll put the soda and the soy sauce.
02:48There.
02:51As you can see, it's still a bit watery.
02:53So if you want to dry your adobo,
02:57let's wait for about 30 minutes.
03:00And then, it's good to go.
03:02But before that, let's put some pepper.
03:06Then, again, salt.
03:10And of course, the bay leaves.
03:14Because the bay leaves really add aroma
03:18to making these kinds of dishes.
03:24So for me, vinegar is just an estimate,
03:27but not too much.
03:29Here, this is fine.
03:30Let's check.
03:31One.
03:35Two.
03:37Three is enough.
03:39And of course, I told you, let's put some chili.
03:43But I won't crush it because I don't want it to be spicy.
03:47Okay.
03:48One.
03:49That's it.
03:51That's spicy.
03:53Let's cover it.
03:54See you in 30 minutes.
04:02Okay.
04:03There.
04:04Our soda adobo is now dry.
04:08So we can now turn it off and plate it.
04:28This is like a diet food, guys.
04:32See you next time.
04:33Bye-bye.
