00:00While other award shows are all about Hollywood glam, the Grammys are open for experimentation
00:05and wild fashion statements, and 2025 did not disappoint.
00:10There were hits and there were misses, and we've got the worst of the worst.
00:14Kacey Musgraves has worn plenty of great looks over the years, and her Ralph Lauren ensemble
00:18wouldn't have been bad if she was just going out to dinner.
00:21The problem, of course, is that she was hitting the Grammys red carpet instead.
00:25Her sparkly, fringe-covered skirt felt unique and glamorous, but the metal belt and white
00:30tank top dressed the skirt down way too much, making it look boring and unfinished.
00:35The skirt would have worked better with a different, statement-making top.
00:39Jesse Joe Dillon's embroidered suit surely didn't have the effect the star intended.
00:43Rather than being a fun, funky twist on a suit, it reminded us of a Boy Scout vest covered
00:48in survival-skill-inspired merit badges.
00:51The suit, with wide-leg pants and no shirt underneath, just didn't make sense, and the
00:55hair and makeup added to the disjointedness.
00:58Dillon's long extensions and caked-on eye makeup clashed with the suit's already confusing
01:02vibes.
01:03We have no idea where Nora Jones should have gone in this particular outfit, but the Grammys
01:08was definitely not it.
01:09The dress' length and silhouette paired with a bulky red belt felt dated, and its print
01:14and texture was simply confusing.
01:16Furthermore, pairing this look with tights made an already too-casual ensemble even less
01:20appropriate for the occasion.
01:22While this look probably couldn't have been saved with different styling, the dramatic
01:25hair and makeup added unnecessary details to an already overcrowded look.
01:30Poppy has a penchant for bold, boundary-pushing looks, and that's a vibe we can certainly
01:34get behind.
01:35All she wanted was to be a ballerina.
01:38As far as this look is concerned, it didn't stick the landing.
01:42It looked like a ballerina outfit with a raincoat layered on top.
01:44Of course, ballerinas have to keep their tutus dry in bad weather, just like the rest of
01:48us.
01:49We can understand why Poppy let this inspire her Grammys red carpet look.
01:54Josiah's Grammys dress looked like an old wedding gown she picked up at the thrift store
01:58and tried to alter into a perfect red carpet ensemble.
02:01Bad idea.
02:02The shiny white fabric looked cheap, and the way it stretched made it look like it didn't
02:06fit.
02:07And on top of those fashion crimes, the cutouts and bedazzling made this dress feel even more
02:11like a fast-fashion evening gown than it already did.
02:14Billie Eilish has a very particular style, and her Prada look at the Grammys certainly
02:18fit within that, but this look didn't put a cool, interesting twist on her usual laid-back
02:23vibe.
02:24Instead, it looked like a weird costume.
02:25The oversized, all-black look, the sailor-inspired hat, and the sunglasses made it feel like
02:30an odd choice for such a big night.
02:32Some of Eilish's looks over the years have risen above the rest without sacrificing her
02:36style, and that's what we'd like to see more of.
02:39Here's a worst-dressed-less philosophical question.
02:42Can you be worst-dressed if you didn't get dressed at all?
02:45We can thank model Bianca Sensori for answering that question with an unequivocal yes.
02:50I mean, we've all done it.
02:52You just forgot to put your frock on.
02:54Despite Sensori's rumored relationship struggles with her husband Kanye West, she was by his
02:58side on the Grammys red carpet in her typical lack of clothing.
03:01We obviously can't show you the full effect, which was probably the point, but take our
03:05word for it.
03:06Sensori started out in a heavy black coat before bearing it all, and we mean all, in
03:11a completely sheer, skin-tight mini-dress.
03:13While the look certainly attracted attention, it was way, way too much, and by that we mean
03:18too little.
03:20From the neck up, Rae looked like the epitome of old Hollywood beauty at the Grammys.
03:24From the neck down, however, she looked like she was wearing an old, outdated prom dress.
03:28Rae's Armani Privé gown had a shiny finish, lots of bedazzling, and an old, tired silhouette.
03:34As a result, the dress just looked out of place.
03:36Something sleeker and a bit edgier would have given much more balance to her beautiful hair
03:40and makeup.
03:42It's not easy to pull off a suit that very nearly matches your skin tone, and while Teddy
03:45Swims may have tried to make it work, it most definitely didn't.
03:49This suit was just plain weird, between the color, the beading, and that newsboy cap.
03:53Had it been in a different color, the look may not have been quite bad enough to make
03:57it to the worst dress list.
03:59As it is, though, it was definitely a fashion fail.
04:02Seeing Joy Villa on the red carpet made us wonder whether anyone else on our worst dress
04:06list was actually badly dressed at all.
04:08I'm here to make America glamorous again."
04:11If Villa's goal was to induce a fashion-related existential crisis, then she succeeded.
04:15Otherwise, this was the ultimate flop.
04:18Between the MAGA hat reference, the meme coin nod, and the all-around bad dress, this had
04:22to be the worst look on tonight's red carpet.
04:25Charli XCX's Jean Paul Gaultier gown was almost a win.
04:29The dress felt dramatic and dark, with a cool, unique twist that had Nosferatu energy, in
04:34a good way.
04:35Unfortunately, the shoes totally threw off this look.
04:38The open-toed, cut-out knee-high boots reminded us of popular going-out outfits circa 2016.
04:44They were juxtaposed with her gown in a way that looked messy, rather than innovative.
04:47An edgy shoe with this dress was definitely the right choice, but this one distracted
04:51from the look in all the wrong ways.
