00:00Next, the GMA Integrated News reported that a patient was released from a hospital in Manila because a doctor's staff introduced him as a scammer.

00:09Another patient in Makati was fined Php 1,000 for introducing a person to a hospital.

00:30To complain, after asking for a scam, an assistant manager of a hospital in Makati introduced him.

00:37He was admitted to the hospital on January 2 because of back pain.

00:42He was supposed to be discharged on January 13, but he couldn't go home because there was no payment for the almost Php 500,000 bill in the hospital.

00:50On January 21, he received a text from a maid.

00:55We were offered Php 70,000 initial down payment without collateral check to be discharged.

01:04Because the hospital bill is rising every day, and when he wanted to go out of the hospital, Ken insisted.

01:11He gave me the bank account of my doctor.

01:16That's when I transferred the initial or down payment of Php 35,000.

01:21Yesterday, he deposited the balance of Php 35,000.

01:26He said that a secretary will go to him to discuss my monthly payment installment or payment terms.

01:38He said that my down payment is only Php 70,000.

01:41He will also go to him to ask for the documents.

01:48But the secretary who talked to him did not arrive.

01:52We realized that we got scammed.

01:55When we went to the nurse station, we called the billing department.

01:59We asked if there is a Michael Reyes.

02:04They said that we don't have that kind of person.

02:08We also don't have a manager's office because all transactions need to be done through billing.

02:15The hospital also told them that they will investigate the incident.

02:19The secretary of his doctor also called them to say that there is no incoming payment to their office.

02:26And that the patient's payment went through the hospital.

02:29It's hard because of course, you were hospitalized due to sickness.

02:48The PNP Cybercrime Division will investigate.
