Cloudy throughout the majority of the UK, with the odd clear spell most likely in western most parts. Outbreaks of rain and wintry precipitation arriving from the east, move across mostly central and northern parts of England, with sporadic showers across eastern Scotland too. Mainly dry conditions elsewhere. Western Scotland may see more breaks in the cloud by early afternoon. Still feeling quite chilly, especially under thick cloud. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the morning of 11/02/2025. Bringing you today’s weather forecast is Dan Stroud.

00:00Good morning, there's a lot of cloud in the forecast today and it's also feeling quite
00:04cold. In fact, temperatures are a good few degrees below where they should be for this
00:08time of year. Now the reason for that is courtesy of this area of high pressure to the north
00:13and east and that is really keeping those winds pushing in from the east. But we also
00:18have low pressure across the southern North Sea and that is bringing a fair amount of
00:23cloud and some of that cloud is thick enough to produce a few outbreaks of mostly sort
00:27of light rain and drizzle down this eastern seaboard of the country. Although with those
00:32colder conditions, some of that is also falling. It's a bit of a wintry mix, chiefly across
00:37the tops of the Pennines and the North York Moors during the course of this afternoon.
00:41Elsewhere, good to the dry weather but cloudy. A few breaks across the north and west of
00:47Scotland and it's here that we're going to see some of our highest temperatures today,
00:51perhaps reaching highs of seven or eight degrees. But for areas under all that cloud, temperatures
00:57really disappointing and add in the strength of this easterly wind and you could take a
01:02good few degrees off of these values. So as we move our way into the evening, remaining
01:07cloudy for many of us, we're still seeing a fair few showers and outbreaks of rain packing
01:13in across this eastern fringe of the country. But elsewhere across the west, a few clearer
01:18skies developing and where we see those clearer spells, overnight temperatures will actually
01:23dip away. And under those clear swells, temperatures low enough for a touch of frost. But elsewhere
01:29on all these cloud, temperatures remaining generally above zero. So into tomorrow morning
01:36and we see some band of thicker cloud and rain moving in across Devon and Cornwall.
01:40But it's pushing up against this area of high pressure to the north and east and it's not
01:43really going anywhere. Ahead of it, a generally cloudy day with a few brighter spells in the
01:49mix. And we're still seeing a few showers across the north and the east of the country.
01:54And in terms of temperatures, it's another disappointingly chilly day. Temperatures up
01:58just a little on today's values with highs of six or seven, but still going to feel pretty
02:04chilly, especially across the north when you add in the strength of that wind. And as we
02:09move our way through to the rest of the week, very little changes. High pressure is acting
02:13like a force field, helping to keep the Atlantic fronts well to the south and west. Although
02:19we do see one starting to move up across the south and west towards Friday. And that does
02:24introduce the chance of a few wintry flurries across the moors of the south and west by
02:30the course of the weekend. Thanks for watching. And that's your forecast. Bye for now.
