00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this chilly Thursday morning with
00:04a frost in places. We have seen some clearer skies overnight allowing
00:08temperatures to plummet. Yet again we have an easterly drift. The winds aren't
00:12as strong and weather fronts just bumping in towards the west there, never
00:16really amounting to very much although we will see some rain as we head through
00:20into the weekend. Now through this morning one or two drizzly showers just
00:24being taken in with that wind from the North Sea across more eastern areas. Some
00:29broken cloud for Northern Ireland through the middle part of the day and
00:32any brighter skies across the West Country will be filled in with that
00:36cloud as it thickens from the west. Showers for the far north, brighter skies
00:40across western Scotland down towards the far northwest of England. Doesn't really
00:44help temperatures very much, 4, 5, 6 degrees Celsius so a cold day on the
00:48cards. Now through this evening and overnight yet again we'll see cloud
00:52breaks allowing for a frost. At the same time this rain moves in across the West
00:56Country eventually reaching Northern Ireland. Over the higher ground on the
00:59leading edge of that band of rain we could see some sleet and snow. Brighter
01:03skies further east as we head through Friday. The wind has changed direction
01:07which is good news. However into the weekend notice more cloud and this rain
01:11continues to make inroads eastwards and yet again as it bumps into the cold air
01:15we will see some sleet, snow and even some freezing rain. So stay tuned to the
01:20forecast. Warnings could be issued through the weekend with a wintry feel
01:24to things. Certainly rain further west as well as south and showers across the
01:28far north there. The winds will be strong across the far north of Scotland. All in
01:31all yes the weather is slowly changing but it is remaining cold. For more details
