00:00Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're taking a look at 10 of the absolute hardest bosses
00:11from across the Xenoblade Chronicles series.
00:14Smash ain't gonna get you out of every situation, you know.
00:23Before we begin, we publish new videos all week long, so be sure to subscribe to Mojo
00:27Plays and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:32Chimera Lao Xenoblade Chronicles X
00:44A simple Google search of Lao boss fight will reveal an endless ocean of rage-fueled forum
00:50posts.
00:51Yeah, that seems about right.
00:53The final fight against Chimera Lao has caused many players to give up and quit because of
00:58how seemingly impossible he can be.
01:01Lao is so high-leveled and spawns in such powerful enemies to help him out that you're
01:06bound to question if you simply didn't grind enough.
01:09Unbeknownst to some, this was one of those moments where Xenoblade X required you to
01:13play in a very specific way, and of course, grind like a madman for the best gear and
01:19stats possible.
01:20If you were one of those players that lowered the difficulty, don't feel bad, Lao sucks.
01:32The Blizzard Bilgazus Xenoblade Chronicles
01:46In order to discover this beast for yourself, you will have to beat the Mechanist Corps
01:50and head to the Great Glacier.
01:52Just know that this dude is the second highest leveled boss in the game and he is no joke.
01:57The Blizzard Bilgazus boasts an insanely high health pool of more than 600,000 HP and a
02:03strong resistance to physical attacks.
02:06Your best bet is to just focus on filling up your party gauge and use chain attacks
02:10every chance you get.
02:12The Blizzard Bilgazus is super vulnerable to these kinds of attacks and is more likely
02:16to topple over when hit.
02:18Just make sure your party can withstand its icy attacks and carry some items on you to
02:22cure your party of poison.
02:33The Immovable Gonzales
02:40You'll be able to stumble upon this boss in each of the three mainline Xenoblade games,
02:44but no matter which game you're playing, expect major headaches from this guy.
02:48The Immovable Gonzales sits at level 90, and it can dish out a ton of damage in very little
02:54time.
02:55In the first Xenoblade, it can lower your defense and strength with Thunderous Roar
02:59and will enter an enraged state when it's down to half of its health.
03:03You can almost say this is a test of endurance, but if you're fighting the Immovable Gonzales
03:08in Xenoblade 3, it's a bit of a different story.
03:11Hope you got some maneuvers to avoid those AoEs.
03:22Console B, Xenoblade Chronicles 3
03:29Out of all the consoles you'll face in Xenoblade 3, Console B is the toughest of the group.
03:36Not only are Blowdown and Knockback rendered totally useless here, Console B is highly
03:41resistant towards debuffs, forcing you to fight him as he is presented, but what makes
03:46him insufferable is how he can keep boosting his damage output while inflicting you with
03:51Blaze.
03:52Whenever he uses Auto Attack or Blaze Party, Blaze gets a major boost in damage, the latter
03:58granting Console B higher accuracy and crit rate.
04:01If you're having a shorter fuse than usual, it's best to save this boss fight for a
04:06single, much shorter play session.
04:08Just beat him, then go cool off for a day or two.
04:17Telethia the Endbringer, Xenoblade Chronicles X
04:27Level 99, 10 million HP, the most powerful enemy in the entire game.
04:33If you truly wish to master Xenoblade Chronicles X, this is the ultimate challenge.
04:39Telethia the Endbringer can be the most grueling boss fight you will ever have to endure.
04:45One major reason for this is just how many arts it has at its disposal compared to most
04:51bosses, including the ones on this list.
04:54Telethia has arts that can inflict a rainbow of ailments like Sleep, Shock, Knockback,
05:00Flinch, Fatigue, and many others, and while it does not have any noticeable weaknesses,
05:06it is moderately resistant to every elemental attack you can inflict.
05:10All we can say is good freaking luck to you, you're going to need it.
05:24Elma Redux, Xenoblade Chronicles 2
05:32If there was one word we could use to describe Elma, it's annoying.
05:36While Xenoblade 2's challenge battle mode only has her fight ranked as 4 out of 5 stars
05:41in terms of difficulty, that is nowhere close to how aggravating she actually can get.
05:48The dumb shtick here is that you'll have to fight three ghost Elmas that can resurrect
05:52each other quickly if one falls.
05:55But what makes our thyroids want to burst is how the ghost Elmas can lock out bars of
06:00your party gauge, preventing you from using chain attacks or even reviving party members.
06:05Your only means of gaining full access to your gauge again is by nailing Elma with seal
06:10reinforcements.
06:11Then try to down all three of the ghost Elmas simultaneously.
06:24Disciple Larithia, Xenoblade Chronicles
06:27Didn't expect a pretty face to turn into something so... not pretty.
06:37Disciple Larithia can already be arduous to fight against with her high physical defense
06:42and wealth of resistances to, well, almost every status effect under the sun.
06:47Surprisingly, that will be the least of your concerns.
06:50What makes her fight difficult is how she can summon several nebulae to help her in
06:55the fight, forcing you to divide your attack power between her and the nebulae.
07:00Even worse, the number of nebulae on the field will determine how high her physical defense
07:05goes.
07:06So if you want the best chances possible, you pretty much need to keep two nebulae alive
07:11until she is finally dead.
07:18Peril Wing Ryuho, Xenoblade Chronicles 3
07:30Not too many flying bosses in the Xenoblade series, but one tussle with the Peril Wing
07:35Ryuho will show you exactly why that is the case.
07:38Remember at the start of the video how we said that Smash won't get you out of every
07:42predicament?
07:43Well, fun fact, the Peril Wing Ryuho is totally immune to Smash, and Knockback, and Blowdown,
07:51and whatever other debuffs you can inflict.
07:54Yeah, there is no immobilizing this beast.
07:57You will be the one getting immobilized more, as Peril Wing Ryuho can inflict days against
08:03you far longer than any other normal enemy can.
08:07Pray you don't get insta-killed by Assault Hawk or Ice Cannon.
08:19Ancient Daedala, Xenoblade Chronicles
08:22You know, at least every boss we've seen so far has at least some small breathing room
08:34to come up with a strategy, but what do you do against a boss that is impervious to almost
08:39every weapon?
08:41That's the tough gimmick of the Ancient Daedala.
08:44In order to inflict any damage on this thing, you need to topple it over or get your weapons
08:48enchanted by the Monado.
08:50Of course, it wouldn't be a BS Xenoblade boss without almost total resistance to nearly
08:55every status affliction imaginable, and yet, somehow, there is a boss much more grueling
09:01than this.
09:09The Territorial Rotbart, Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2
09:22No other boss in the entire Xenoblade series is as aggressive, lethal, and unpredictable
09:28as the Territorial Rotbart.
09:30Despite only appearing in two games, the Rotbart has earned a notorious reputation within the
09:35Xenoblade fanbase.
09:37For starters, it is totally immune to blowdown and knockback, which are two very critical
09:42arts you're likely to use when bringing down monsters like this.
09:46To make matters worse, the Rotbart is resistant to attacks that inflict sleep, break, paralysis,
09:52and lock on.
09:53If you absolutely need to use break, your only option is to use chain attacks.
09:58Otherwise, you better have a different plan than what you're used to and God help you
10:03when it becomes enraged.
10:10Were you able to best any of these bosses?
