00:09top stories at this hour. A series of strikes in Syria overnight by
00:13a US-led coalition killed 14 Daesh militants and five civilians. The Syrian Observatory
00:19for Human Rights said the militants were killed in strikes in the eastern province of Deir
00:23Ezzor and the civilians died in raids in northeastern Hazakah. US President Barack Obama has promised
00:29to crush Daesh along with a broad international coalition of countries.
00:33UAE engineers along with the Airbus Defence and Space have helped develop an unmanned
00:39supercraft that can fly in the stratosphere at a height of 65,600 feet, the Emirates Institute
00:45of Advanced Science and Technology has announced. The supercraft, termed High Altitude Pseudo
00:50Satellite, has the ability to fly non-stop for more than two weeks and can shoot full
00:55HD videos. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched
00:59his pet Make in India campaign to put India prominently on the global manufacturing map
01:05and in turn facilitate the inflow of new technology and capital while creating millions of jobs.
01:11Modi will arrive in the United States tomorrow aiming to woo corporate titans with an eye
01:15on investment-focused diplomacy. Manchester City racked up a 7-0 win over
01:21second division Sheffield Wednesday in the third round of the English League Cup last
01:25night. Chelsea edged past Bolton 2-1 and Tottenham beat Nottingham Forest 3-1. In Spain, Barcelona
