When you need medical help, what challenges do you face in getting seen, and how has that affected you?

00:00Yes, we have a lot of long waiting times. I myself recently got a call back from an
00:04issue that I arose two years ago, and although I was slightly mad at the time when I got
00:08that call, we have to reflect really what is going on with the NHS at the moment. We
00:13are not having the money pumped into the NHS that it deserves.
00:17My mum's disabled, so she has a lot of appointments with doctors and things, and it is, it feels
00:22like it's always a struggle and it's always a push to get what I think should be universal,
00:27and that's not the NHS's fault. I think the NHS is fantastic and amazing, and honestly
00:31it's one of the best things about the UK, the quality of which is steadily dwindling.
00:36About six years ago I had prostate surgery, and I was very pleased with the way it was
00:43handled, although initial doctor's appointment wasn't easy.
00:49It's not so much that there's a problem with wait times and things like that, it's that's
00:52a symptom of a greater problem, which is a lack of funding and a lack of government
00:57emphasis on how important the NHS is.
