00:00The two Filipinos who were recruited by the West African Drug Syndicate to become couriers of drugs in Malaysia were caught by the NBI.

00:10Their recruiter, who is continuously being targeted by the authorities, is John Consulta.

00:21These two women were wrapped from head to toe when they arrived at the headquarters of the NBI today.

00:27They were caught by the NBI in Malaysia from the operation of the West African Drug Syndicate, according to the NBI.

00:33With the help of their information obtained from their drug operation this January,

00:37the two Filipinas discovered their journey to become drug couriers.

00:42When they are sent to Malaysia, all expenses are paid at $500,000 if the work continues.

00:54So from Malaysia, they will be given the drugs to be brought to Hong Kong.

01:02I immediately sent two agents to Malaysia to coordinate with the Malaysian police.

01:09The female drug mule was caught in Malaysia before they were able to transfer the drugs, cocaine, to the Filipinas who were being victimized.

01:22According to the NBI Dangerous Drugs Division, the suitcase came from Africa,

01:27which was loaded with kilos of cocaine that were confiscated from the intercepted African National Women.

01:32They are very sophisticated when it comes to concealing the drugs,

01:38such that if you have no idea, it can reach our airport and the airports of other countries.

01:44The authorities admitted that it is hard to deny the existence of the West African Drug Syndicate.

01:51This drug group is victimizing Filipinos because of their good command of the English language.

02:01The payment scheme, that $5,000 is almost P300,000 allowance and pocket money.

02:13This group is responsible for the arrest of majority of Filipinas in many parts of the world who are now languishing in jail and facing death penalty.

02:29The NBI's follow-up operation continues to get the recruiter of two Filipinas in the Philippines.

02:34The group did not give a statement that they are under counseling and debriefing as human trafficking victims.
