00:00Dressed to kill or fashion flop, the stars came out for the 2025 BAFTAs, and it's fair
00:07to say that some looked better than others.
00:10Game of Thrones star Gwendolyn Christie took the BAFTAs by storm in a black Giles Deacon
00:15gown.
00:16I'm wearing Giles Deacon this evening, and the amazing Katie Grand has worked on this
00:22look tonight, which I'm very excited to be wearing."
00:26Unfortunately, she also looked like she'd been caught in a storm.
00:29The slashed effect of the dress' sleeves left her looking ragged and tattered, and
00:33her messy extensions didn't help either.
00:36While Christie was likely going for an edgy, bold ensemble, the final outfit came off looking
00:40more chaotic than anything else.
00:44Love Island star Molly May Haig hit the red carpet in a dramatic skirt and jacket set
00:48by Iraqi.
00:49This look felt like something you might see strutting down the runway, but it didn't translate
00:53well to the red carpet.
00:55The structural details of the jacket were just too big for comfort, and Haig ended up
00:59lost in the piece.
01:01While her commitment to a bold, edgy look was certainly welcome, a sleeker version of
01:05this outfit might have suited her better for the occasion.
01:08Producer Anna Higgs strutted onto the red carpet looking like she was rocking an oversized
01:13dinner napkin, but it was the styling of her questionable frock that really flopped.
01:18Neither the black, close-toed shoes nor the cream-colored blazer worked with the dress.
01:23Instead, it looked like Higgs had grabbed whatever she had in her closet before running
01:27out of the house.
01:28Vanessa Williams wore a green Pamela Rowland gown on the red carpet at the 2025 BAFTAs.
01:34And while this look may not have been totally horrible, it wasn't exactly great either.
01:39This dress has a lot going on up top, and it overwhelmed Williams with too much fabric
01:43and too many details.
01:45Rather than balancing this with sleek styling, Williams wore dangling earrings and a big,
01:49heavy updo that made her look more like a brand-new Disney movie villain than anything
01:53else.
01:59Isabella Russellini wore a floral Dolce & Gabbana look on the red carpet at this year's BAFTAs.
02:05Unfortunately, between the big floral print, the leopard print around her sleeves, and
02:09the surplus of fabric, this dress gave major pajama vibes.
02:13And while she may have hoped that fancy jewelry would elevate the look, it actually made the
02:17thrown-together feel of the rest of her outfit even more noticeable.
02:21Close But No Cigar sums up our feelings about Selena Gomez's BAFTAs look.
02:26The Amelia Perez star has had no shortage of unforgettable red carpet moments over the
02:30course of her long career.
02:32Sadly, though, this beige Shia Perali gown missed the mark.
02:36A few tweaks to her dress could have made Gomez shine, but the cut looked too much like
02:40suspenders over and off the shoulder top, and the color totally washed her out.
02:46White Lotus star Leo Woodall opted for a twist on a classic suit for the BAFTAs.
02:50Unfortunately, the suit's fit stole the show in all the wrong ways.
02:54While we liked the unique, rich brown coloring, the ensemble didn't look tailored like a suit
02:58should be.
02:59In fact, it was baggy in all the wrong places.
03:02Some proper tailoring would have gone a long way here, taking Woodall's look from messy
03:06to sharp.
03:08Marisa Tomei hit the red carpet wearing black velvet.
03:11The idea behind the gown could have resulted in something truly elegant, but something
03:16about the cut of it just didn't work.
03:17The gown looked like it was drooping a little.
03:20The detailing around her hips was a bit too low, and the leg slit also should have started
03:24higher.
03:25The resulting effect threw off Tomei's proportions and made the dress look heavy and overpowering.
03:31You can really appreciate what David Tennant was trying to do here.
03:35The sparkling embroidery on this Joshua Kane ensemble was nothing short of stunning, and
03:40the fashion statement itself was wonderfully bold.
03:43But something about this look just didn't land, leaving Tennant looking like he was
03:46wearing a costume rather than formal wear.
03:50Pega Pormont is a fashion designer who loves to push boundaries.
03:54As a result, it's no surprise that she wore something so bold on the red carpet.
03:58Still, it's possible to make a bold fashion statement that also genuinely works, and this
04:03didn't.
04:04The extra-low neckline and big cutouts altered Pormont's proportions, and the fabric and
04:08boa gave fast fashion vibes.
04:11And her styling choices?
04:12From those shoes to her hair and lack of jewelry only made it all worse.
04:17Vera Wang certainly knows a thing or two about fashion.
04:20So what the heck happened here?
04:22On the red carpet, the iconic designer wore a long black and white skirt with a sunglasses-shaped
04:27bra top.
04:28She accessorized with a big leather jacket and dark sunglasses, both of which she took
04:33on and off as she walked the carpet.
04:35These accessories definitely didn't go with this look, and even the skirt and top left
04:39us scratching our heads.
