00:00But what I am about to play for you is insane.
00:05It would be unthinkable in years past.
00:08A Trump official announced yesterday that Donald Trump has signed an executive order
00:15claiming that only the president can speak for what the law is.
00:22This is not how the Constitution works, but this is the view of the Trump administration.
00:28And who's going to stop them?
00:30That's my question.
00:31Lastly, we have another executive order that President Trump signed relating to independent
00:36agencies.
00:37This executive order would establish important oversight functions in the Office of Management
00:42and Budget and its subsidiary office, OIRA, supervising independent agencies and many
00:48of their actions, and also reestablishes the longstanding norm that only the president
00:53or the attorney general can speak for the United States when stating an opinion as to
00:58what the law is.
01:00Yeah.
01:02Thank you very much.
01:03Well, that that is not how the law works.
01:06That is not how the Constitution works.
01:08That is not how separations of powers work.
01:11That's not how anything works.
01:13But unless someone can stop them, then what can we do?
01:17And we are going to be doing a deeper dive about that executive order.
01:21This included a press conference from Trump, wherein he wildly said this was not a war
01:28Ukraine should have started.
01:30You might be saying to yourself, Ukraine didn't start the war.
01:34Ukraine was invaded.
01:35You would be right.
01:36But listen to the way Trump is framing it.
01:38I think I have the power to end this war and I think it's going very well.
01:42But today I heard, oh, we weren't invited.
01:44Well, you've been there for three years.
01:46You should have ended it.
01:47Three years.
01:48You should have never started it.
01:49You could have made a deal.
01:50I could have made a deal for Ukraine that would have given him almost all of the land.
01:56Everything almost all of the land and no people would have been killed and no city would have
02:00been demolished and not one dome would have been knocked down.
02:03But they chose not to do it that way.
02:05And President Biden, in all fairness, he doesn't have a clue what he he was so bad for this.
02:10It was so bad, so pathetic.
02:12Why did Ukraine do this?
02:13Why did Ukraine get invited, invaded rather by Russia?
02:18Why is it that they did this?
02:20They shouldn't have done it a little bit different than the facts on the ground.
02:24And this is just bowing down to Putin.
02:26This is that authoritarian, loving realignment that we were fearing.
02:30It's happening.
02:31It's happening daily.
02:32Now, a reporter did ask Trump about Doge and SpaceX, where SpaceX employees are now working.
02:42There is there is an overlap between Doge and SpaceX.
02:46SpaceX employees are working at a company that has billions in contracts with the government
02:51and Musk oversees all of it.
02:53Isn't that a conflict of interest?
02:54And Trump goes, I'd never heard about that.
02:57Sorry, Mr. President, given your concerns about corruption, you said that if there were
03:03any conflicts of interest with Elon Musk, you wouldn't let him anywhere near it.
03:08That's right.
03:09Doge and SpaceX employees are now working directly at the Federal Aviation Administration
03:13and the Defense Department agencies that have billions of dollars in contracts with
03:18Musk's companies or that directly regulate his companies.
03:22How is that not a conflict of interest?
03:23Well, I mean, I'm just hearing about it.
03:25And if there is and he told me before I told him, but obviously I will not let there be
03:30any conflict of interest.
03:31He's Trump's just hearing about this.
03:33Why doesn't Trump know what's going on with Doge and SpaceX employees and the FAA and
03:39the Department of Transportation?
03:42Trump said he was monitoring it all closely.
03:44He said he was looking at it all himself.
03:47But of course, he has no clue what's going on.
03:49He managed to win, which is keeping him out of prison.
03:53And he's pulling in money from this scam and that grift and Elon Musk running the show.
04:00Trump played golf in Florida Monday and Tuesday, and that's all he really cares about.
04:05He doesn't know what else is going on.
04:07Trump was asked, have you decided what the auto tariffs rate should be?
04:10And Trump goes, I guess I think like twenty five percent specifically what the auto tariff
04:18rate should be.
04:19Yeah, I probably will tell you that in on April 2nd, but it'll be in the neighborhood
04:24of twenty five percent.
04:25Conductors and pharmaceuticals, it'll be twenty five percent and higher and it'll go very
04:31substantially higher over a course of a year.
04:33Right.
04:34We want to give them time to come in because, as you know, when they come into the United
04:37States and they have their plant or factory here, there is no tariff.
04:42So we want to give them a little bit of a chance.
04:44Yes.
04:45So I guess like maybe sort of twenty five percent tariff.
04:48I don't totally know, but maybe it'll be even higher than that.
04:53Wow.
04:54What a plan.
04:55What a well thought out plan.
04:57That's more than a concept of a plan for sure, isn't it?
05:00And of course, every single one of these statements throwing everyone into wait, what is it that's
05:05going on now?
05:06What what is he doing?
05:08Trump continuing that to insist that Social Security is very corrupt and this is the next
05:17big lie.
05:18And they are going to use the lie that Social Security is corrupt to say, listen, we didn't
05:23want to go after Social Security.
05:25We said it during the campaign.
05:26We're not going to go after Social Security or Medicare.
05:29It's just so corrupt that we're going to have to do a little something.
05:33We have a very corrupt country.
05:36Very corrupt country.
05:37And it's a sad thing to say, but we're figuring it out now.
05:40The good thing about Social Security and what I read is if you take all of those numbers
05:46off because they're obviously fraudulent or incompetent.
05:51But if you take all of those millions of people off Social Security, all of a sudden we have
05:56a very powerful Social Security with people that are 80 and 70 and 90, but not 200 years
06:03old.
06:05You know, so it's a very positive thing.
06:07Yes.
06:08And of course, as we talked about yesterday, this idea that there are millions or tens
06:11of millions of dead people getting Social Security benefits is not true, but they're
06:16they're setting it up.
06:17This is going to be the pretext that they need to say we're going to have to do some
06:22stuff with Social Security.
06:24We're going to have to do it because of the fraud that there is.
06:28And finally, and this is a little cringey.
06:31Trump again talks about fertilization and any time Trump talks about this, it's just
06:35gross.
06:36Fertilization.
06:37I've been saying that we're going to do what we have to do.
06:41And I think the women and families, husbands are very appreciative of it.
06:47I will mention that even though Donald Trump promised free IVF during his campaign, he
06:53now is starting to work on executive orders that he says will reduce the cost, maybe reducing
07:03the cost versus it will be free to very, very different things.
07:12Disaster press conference, disaster interview from Hannity.
07:17But this is where we are.
07:18Bernie Sanders, after this break, is going to sort of sum it up for us.
