We take to Buchanan Street to find out what the people of Glasgow think on being called up to fight for their country.
Transcript
00:00With concerns mounting over a potential conflict with Russia,
00:03if you were of age to be called up, would you be prepared to serve your country?
00:07Many young people now say they would refuse, what do you think about the situation?
00:11I love my country, but I wouldn't fight because I think the politicians are idiots.
00:16I've not really thought about it.
00:19I'd be reluctant to do anything about it because
00:23I'm not used to anything like that, obviously, so
00:26yeah, I don't know, I wouldn't be too keen on it.
00:28I would rather not serve the political interests, but when it comes to, you know,
00:32serving the human and mankind and humanity, I think not just me,
00:36everyone should stand up for that cause.
00:38Yeah.
00:39No, generally, as I get older, the more I realise they're all the same.
00:43They all lie.
00:44Not my thing, really.
00:46Not anything I'm interested in, to be honest, no.
00:49Would you yourself go there?
00:50Yeah, definitely.
00:51Definitely.
00:52So do you think anyone should be made to serve, I suppose?
00:57Nah.
00:58Nah?
00:59Yeah.
