00:00Hello there, welcome to your Wednesday evening weather update from the Met Office.
00:04Weather fronts will just come and go across the country over the next few days
00:08into the weekend but for most we'll see some dry and fine weather and that's
00:11certainly the case on Thursday. This weather front here tends to ease
00:15towards the far northwest, still breezy into Thursday and also warm before we
00:19see some showery rain just extend across the country and into Friday, turning a
00:24bit colder across Scotland and Northern Ireland but some fine weather and then
00:27into the weekend a mix of clouds and sunshine, showery bursts particularly
00:31through Saturday. Sunday we'll see an improving picture across many areas. Now
00:36for the time being clearer skies across England and Wales, not as cold as last
00:40night, lowest temperatures 1 to 3 degrees Celsius in rural Wales. Notice dry skies
00:45also for Northern Ireland as that rain retreats and it's certainly going to
00:49retreat across central parts of Scotland but always Western Scotland seeing some
00:54persistent rain into the early hours of Thursday morning as that rain extends
00:59towards the far north and northwest. Now winds are changing direction, it's going
01:03to be a relatively warm day on Thursday. Before that though, lowest temperatures
01:07as I said, rural spots towards the south, seven or eight across more northern
01:12areas. So a bit of a wet start to the day across the northwest of Scotland, the
01:16Western Isles. Notice this rain is clearing mainland Scotland. For many
01:20though it's a bright morning with some lovely sunshine. Broken clouds for
01:24Northern Ireland as well as Scotland before later on notice a few showers
01:28break out across Wales. Now they'll extend towards northwestern parts of
01:32England, southern parts of Scotland, the West Midlands as well. At the same time
01:36we'll see a little rain moving in across Northern Ireland. Temperatures in any
01:41sunshine coming in around 13 or 14 across Scotland and Northern Ireland, 16
01:46or 17 in shelter across England and Wales. So a warm day on the cards across
01:52many areas. A bit blustery in places but even so pleasant to be out and about
01:56with some blue sky and sunshine. But through the evening these showers
01:59continue their passage northwards. This is a weather front here which eventually
02:03will push across Scotland bringing some patchy rain and that showery rain
02:07continues into the early hours of Friday morning across England and Wales.
02:11Clearer skies then through Friday across Scotland and Northern Ireland as we head
02:15through the day, 11 or 12 degrees Celsius. Showery rain continues across the
02:19Midlands, Northern England. Brighter skies across the extreme east of England.
02:22So here's your bigger picture into Friday. Notice weather fronts always
02:26close by but we'll have some sunshine in between and showery bursts continue
02:31their passage northwards through Saturday and into Sunday. It's a breezy
02:34day on Sunday but for most it's bright with some sunshine before the onset of
02:38more showery rain towards the south and we hang on to some wet weather across
02:42the far north of Scotland. Here's your outlook then through Saturday. Yes
02:45temperatures generally speaking around 13 to 16 degrees Celsius as that wet
02:50weather eventually clears northwards. So some sunshine in its wake. I'll see you later.
