I just bought a new 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto which is completely wrecked. I got it for an amazing price but i have no experience in repairing anything hybrid and this car is lamborghinis first V12 Hybrid mix. Ive now got to start inspecting the car to find out what needs to be fixed and how i can repair it.

00:00I've just bought myself a Lamborghini Rivolto, one of the newest Lamborghinis out with a small issue
00:08The Rivolto, named after a Spanish fighting ball, which also translates to
00:16Scrambled and that's certainly what this car is, but I'm not sure that's what Lamborghini had in mind on my Rivolto
00:24It's more scrambled due to the 6.5 litre V12 and then the three electric motor, which boosts the car up to a thousand horsepower
00:35But as I know, cars with this much power can come with big consequences
00:43It's inside, this is it, this has never been attempted before and this is the first
00:51Crash damaged Lamborghini Rivolto
00:55There was a green one in Romania, but this one was definitely crashed before then and we've had to sit on it and wait
01:00Until we're in our new space to show it to you guys
01:04I don't even know where to start with this thing, but I think we should explain the damage
01:09And then I think I then can explain how this ended up in this state
01:16Now I believe this Lamborghini is the first Lamborghini to use a complete carbon fibre monocoque
01:23Which of course makes it lighter, more rigid, but more expensive to replace if it's damaged
01:30Carbon fibre bonnet, in here this car is literally brand new, like I think it's done a couple of hundred marks
01:37I'm gonna have to check, full car cover, that you get brand new
01:42What is that?
01:44And that is the charging pack, oh here is the charging thing
01:49Which has definitely seen better days, along with a lot of the front left suspension, the wheel and most of the other stuff that was here
01:58But luckily the carbon fibre chassis leg looks alright
02:01Doors go off on a Rivolto, full red interior
02:07With a few airbags deployed
02:08A few airbags deployed, shit
02:10Even all the stickers are still on, from new
02:16So all the stickers are on, it smells new, we've got the key, we've got two keys
02:21It smells like a brand new car still in here
02:24But all the airbags are gone, apart from the passenger side airbag which is good
02:28Because it hasn't then hit into the screen and broke the screen
02:32This wheel perished
02:35It's meant to have rear wheel steer, but not like that
02:40This is all carbon fibre panels, so see how flimsy they are
02:45All of this is absolutely terrible
02:49You get the idea, it's not in the best shape
02:52So, I've got a lot to do
02:55What do we do first?
02:57Well because it's got an electric system, haven't we got to turn that off?
03:01Isn't this like a live battery right now?
03:04Yeah, so how many volts is in the electric system? Is it like 240?
03:08Yeah I think it's literally something ridiculous
03:10It's actually 400 volts in this battery
03:13Because it's got a battery on it, and we've never worked on an electric car before
03:17Well with hybrid assist, the last thing we want is something to short out
03:21Especially with everything being ripped off there
03:23It's not the case of getting a 12 volt shock, this is a case of perishing
03:27If you touch this battery and it's not right, we've had it
03:32But then at the same time we need to know whether it starts
03:35So it's a tricky situation
03:37I want to make sure the car actually starts before we begin repairing it
03:41But at the same time, I don't want to get a shock
03:44We're literally walking into unknown waters here
03:47Should we see if there's any power in the car first?
03:50Yeah, let's try that
03:51There's no power in the car
03:55But it was completely dead
03:57It's completely dead
03:59I just wanted to check the back of the car
04:01To make sure there was no visual damage to the electric motors there
04:08£600,000 car, and it's got a Honda bonnet holder
04:14No way
04:16But under here, it looked actually okay
04:18Nothing I could see on the engine was visually damaged
04:21Oh my god, we literally have no idea what we're doing here
04:26Like literally nothing
04:28This is a big challenge for us
04:30So the hybrid system, I think it's got like regenerative braking
04:34And then it's got like, you can drive it electrically alone
04:39You can then have like electric assistance
04:42But then I don't know whether it uses the electric motor to start up the car
04:45I know in reverse, it's fully electric
04:48It doesn't have a reverse gear
04:50The reverse is the electric motors driving it backwards
04:55So I'm still kind of torn between trying to isolate the battery so we don't get a shock
05:00Or attempting to start the thing to make sure everything actually works
05:04I'm going to have to put power to it
05:06We're going to have to commit to it
05:08Because if you start taking it apart
05:10And start fixing a car
05:12Before we know what's broken
05:15It's obvious that some body panel is broken
05:17But then if we start fixing this car or taking it off
05:20Or start ordering parts at night
05:22We find out that the battery on this is absolutely toasted
05:26It's not worth repairing
05:28Do you know like, if the hybrid battery is gone
05:32How are we going to know unless we put power to it?
05:34We know nothing about hybrid batteries
05:37I'm going to put power to it, it feels like the right thing to do
05:40It's like the first, it's just a good start isn't it?
05:42Okay
05:43I'm taking precaution
05:48Who's going to be the brave one and put 12 volts to the...
05:52I've not got long to live
05:55It's only 12 volts, yeah, connected to a 600 million volt car
06:02I'll just keep to two plastic
06:04We'll be fine
06:06It's a bomb
06:09You ready?
06:10Yep
06:11Oh it worked!
06:16Something else went on as well
06:18Don't touch the car
06:21No you can touch the car, you're fine
06:23You can touch the car
06:25Oh yeah, the dash is on
06:27It's actually doing 1,656 miles
06:301,000! God, they've gone far in it, haven't they?
06:34Think it'll start
06:36We can try it
06:38Usually, when an airbag is deployed after an accident
06:41A pyrofuse will stop you from starting the car
06:44We'll give it a go, it's in neutral
06:46Oh that's park
06:48But I've never had a pyrofuse go on a Lamborghini
06:51Even when it has been in an accident
06:54They've always started up
06:57But on this one
06:59I can get neutral and everything but it won't start
07:02Maybe the pyrofuse has got
07:04Do you know when you start these cars
07:06I think they do only start on electric
07:08And then when you start moving
07:09That's when it initiates the engine
07:13Saying that, I think I also remember
07:16That you can start it in sport mode
07:18Which stops the electric
07:20You'd think these cars would have to be extra safe in an accident
07:24Especially with that high voltage battery
07:26Right, that's Corsa
07:28Will it start up just in Corsa?
07:30That probably explains the reason
07:32No
07:34Why it won't start
07:36We're going to look for the pyrofuse
07:37Because I would feel a lot better
07:39If this car did start
07:41Before we worked on it
07:43But if it doesn't
07:45It's going to have to be another one of those cars
07:47That we commit to working on
07:49And try and find out if it starts at the end
07:51Which I don't want to do
07:53Usually, the pyrofuse is located
07:56Just after the battery
07:58Or pretty close to it
08:00And it only cuts power going to the starter motor on the car
08:02You'll still get all the electrics working inside
08:04Just like we had a minute ago
08:05But when you press the start button
08:07There's no power able to go to the starter motor
08:10So now we're just stripping off the front of the car
08:12And then we're going to take out the storage tub
08:14And hopefully we'll find the 12 volt battery underneath everything
08:18And that should lead us to the pyrofuse
08:20Oh
08:25What are we doing now?
08:27Whatever it is, it's not got any in
08:29This looks like a whole cooling system for the battery lock
08:32Water pump
08:33Cooling system
08:35And worry in there
08:37There's no water in it
08:39Or whatever's meant to be in there
08:41TV AI
08:43Which is actually a type of oil
08:45Which provides good dielectric strength
08:47Oil?
08:49For a battery?
08:51I thought that's what the whole idea was to get rid of
08:58No luck there then
09:00Next thing I tried was plugging in my diagnostic tool
09:02To see if that would tell me why the reason this car won't start
09:05But my tool wouldn't read it
09:07Dips
09:09Do you think you can get this started?
09:11I'm really not sure to be honest
09:13So we got Dips down here to plug in his diagnostic tool
09:15To see if that would read the car
09:17But no luck
09:19So we're seeing this more and more over and over again
09:21The newer the cars get
09:23The least thing they want is DIYers working on the car
09:26And this is another perfect example
09:28We cannot even talk to the car
09:29Unless we have an Odis
09:31And Odis you can't even buy
09:33Public, can you?
09:35So you can get Odis for VAG
09:37So VW, Odis, Air, Soda
09:39But for Odis for Lamborghini
09:41It's locked down a lot
09:43So we can't even get the tool which speaks to the car
09:45So we're back to plan A
09:47Try and find this pyro fuse
09:49And we found in the footwell of the car
09:51The battery
09:53This looks like the regular 12 volt battery in a normal car
09:56And if there's going to be a pyro fuse
09:57It'll be around here
09:59There was even a fuse labelled with this little tag here
10:01Which has got something to do with the electrical system
10:03I'm sure
10:05So first step was to get the battery out
10:10That's literally what you see in like Toys R Us
10:12Like the quad bikes and stuff
10:14Quad bikes and that, yeah
10:16There's going to be a pyro fuse
10:18It's going to be in there
10:20So I got to work at taking this box apart
10:22To see if there's a pyro fuse
10:24Cutting the power to the starter motor in there
10:25Nothing on there
10:27They're just main fuses for the car
10:29Main battery and isolator switch
10:31That sounds positive
10:33Do you think it's that one?
10:35Oh, it could be that
10:37Yeah, maybe
10:39In the manual you get with the car
10:41It mentioned this labelled fuse here
10:43Is for the high voltage system
10:45And there's potential that this fuse is broken
10:47Working as a pyro fuse
10:49We're going to test it
10:53Fuse is good
10:55We tried literally everything
10:57There doesn't seem to be a pyro fuse
10:59Cutting power to the starter motor
11:01The fuse which cuts power to the high voltage system is good
11:03And I went through checking all of the other fuses
11:05Which all seem well as well
11:07Still can't find the reason why this car won't start
11:10We can test to see whether
11:12There's a continuity between the top of that
11:15Onto the starter motor
11:17Without energising the starter
11:20We'll put a jump lead on the starter motor
11:23Bring it out here
11:25And then you can do a continuity test
11:28Yeah, but we've got to get to the starter motor first
11:31Oh yeah, you've got to go and start it
11:33And does it have one?
11:35It was found one
11:37Didn't the hybrid motor start it?
11:40Mmm, doubt it
11:42Do you know if you were a hybrid robot
11:45Yeah
11:47And you only had one leg and two arms
11:50Would you start?
11:52One leg and two arms
11:53That's more like this isn't it
11:55I'd try my best
11:57Do you know if you rang Lamborghini and said
11:59Why is it not starting?
12:01And showed them a picture of it
12:03Yeah, didn't they say
12:05Because it's got one leg and two arms
12:08Good afternoon Lamborghini
12:10Birmingham Olivia speaking, how can I help?
12:12At the minute it doesn't seem to want to do anything
12:16Like when I press the start button
12:19It doesn't do anything at the minute
12:20Is the key fob battery opening the car?
12:23Yeah, that opens the car
12:25So it's opening all okay
12:27And you're saying you're getting a light from the dashboard
12:29But no engine
12:31Will the car start if the hybrid battery is low?
12:35It should still start I believe
12:38And it really speaks to the workshop controller
12:40And if it is at half full
12:42Is there any chance I can give you a call
12:44It's back in at 8 o'clock tomorrow
12:46Can I give you a call in the morning?
12:48Yeah, that's fine
12:50Yeah, you're right
12:52Yeah man, do you know when your Revolta wouldn't start
12:54Yes
12:56Was it because the hybrid battery was flat
12:58Or can you start it without
13:00With the hybrid battery being flat
13:02If the hybrid battery is flat
13:04It doesn't make that difference
13:06Because it will just go straight onto
13:08Just onto petrol
13:10Can you start it up and it just go
13:12When you hear all 12 cylinders fire
13:14It never
13:16Because I didn't know whether it just starts up
13:18In electric mode all the time
13:20Or straight to petrol
13:22Do you know that the twirly one
13:24Yeah
13:26If you just twist that across
13:28It should start straight into petrol
13:31Okay, so I'm going to switch the twirly one
13:34The twirly one
13:37Okay, so we've got the regular 12 volt battery on charge now
13:41Because that was pretty low on power
13:43And whilst that charges up
13:45And whilst we wait for Lamborghini to call us back
13:47We're starting to strip off more parts
13:48And they won't give us any more clues
13:50On why this car won't start
13:52There's nothing there is there
13:54The also worrying thing
13:56This is all carbon fibre down here
13:58And look at that
14:00Perish
14:03Front subframe has taken one for the team
14:07The thing is
14:09Because there's been literally no other
14:11Crash damage Revoltos
14:13Not even Lamborghini are going to know
14:15How this car reacts in an accident
14:16Because they're different
14:18So it's down to us to try and figure this out
14:20And again there's no workshop manuals online
14:22About this car
14:24And there's a very slim chance that Lamborghini
14:26Are going to give us any repair procedures
14:28Because as we already covered
14:30They don't really want DIYers working on the car
14:32But the more we stripped
14:34The more damage we found
14:36Oh wow, I think we found why we crashed
14:38Stood a thousand miles
14:40Sideways
14:42Stood a thousand miles
14:44And that's what the tyre looks like
14:46You can't run that engine in properly
14:48But the good news
14:50On the right hand side of the car
14:52All the suspension and the brakes
14:54Looked all ok
14:56I started stripping apart the car even further
14:58My aim was to try and get
15:00The whole back engine cover off
15:02Then that should expose everything
15:04Around the engine of the car
15:06Hopefully finding the reason
15:08Why this car won't start
15:10Right, are we any closer to a power refuse
15:12But we weren't any closer
15:14Our only option now
15:16Is to see if we can manually
15:18Turn the car over ourselves
15:20And on the Rivolto
15:22The gearbox is at the back of the car
15:24Which means we've got to take off
15:26More parts from it
15:28Including the entire exhaust system
15:30Oh
15:32Aftermarket exhaust on that
15:34Titanium exhaust on that
15:36You can just see it
15:38Look at that mental thing
15:40Oh my days
15:42That would have absolutely howled
15:44I found your starter motor
15:47Oh
15:49My dad was right
15:51It seems what Lamborghini gained in weight
15:53By putting in the hybrid system
15:55They tried to lose with other things
15:57Like the starter motor
15:59And the reverse gear
16:01Now it's electric which does that
16:03It seems that the hybrid motor
16:05Actually starts the car
16:07Which would mean we'd have to have
16:09Charge in the hybrid battery
16:11To be able to start it
16:13Which I think we had
16:14And we are at
16:1612.5 volts
16:18Which should be enough
16:20With a jumper pack
16:22To get the Rivolto started
16:24I think
16:26Now this is the 12 volt battery
16:28Which does all the body electrics on the car
16:30But I assume even if this is flat
16:32Neither of it would work
16:34So now that I've got this charged up
16:36I'm popping this back in place
16:38And give it another go at starting it
16:40It might work, it might not work
16:42But it's worth a try
16:44Is it there?
16:46Yeah
16:48But still
16:50Nothing
16:52No? Are you pressing it?
16:54Yeah, nothing
16:56We're going to have to try another solution
16:58The more time we waste on trying to start it
17:00The less time we have to fix it
17:02The craziest thing about all of this
17:04If you guys went on my Instagram
17:06And scrolled all the way to posts from 2015
17:08You'd see this one
17:10A photo I took of an Aventador
17:12In the restaurant car park
17:14When I opened it
17:16Had a visit from my future car at work today
17:18And now
17:20I've not only bought the successor of the Aventador
17:22I've got to try and fix it
17:24What a journey
17:26And if you want to join the journey
17:28Now's a great time to subscribe
17:30Still can't solve the starting issue
17:32So what we're going to do as well
17:34Is another thing that might be stopping it
17:36Is all these airbags being deployed
17:38And because the car is recognised
17:40Airbag deployed
17:42It might not start
17:44We don't even think you can buy them
17:46Unless you're a Lamborghini registered dealer
17:48So we've heard that the airbag team
17:50Can reset these
17:52And as long as they're not cut
17:54Or pierced in any way
17:56Which we should be okay
17:58If we can get these off and send them away
18:00We should be good
18:02So that's our next step
18:04We're going to take these off
18:06I've also got to get a seat one repaired as well
18:08And the driver's steering wheel airbag as well
18:10That's the plan now
18:12Let's get to it
18:14And a good start would be
18:16Getting all the deployed airbags out of the car
18:18Starting off with the seat
18:20Two bolts at the front
18:22Two bolts at the back
18:24And one bolt which anchors the seatbelt to the seat
18:26Underneath there's a few electrical connections
18:28Disconnect them
18:30And out comes the seat
18:32One seat out
18:34I think these are the comfort seats
18:36Yeah I think we'll be able to buy an airbag there
18:38And then have this seat fit
18:40Restitch
18:42I think we'll go for the same
18:44One step done
18:46Liam's going to take his seat out now
18:48Whilst Liam's taking out the driver's seat
18:50I've started stripping out the interior
18:52I've got to strip most of it out
18:54So I can access the curtain airbags
18:56Which are deployed on each side
18:58I didn't realise before
19:00That once these had been deployed
19:02They can actually be fixed and reset
19:04You just have to send them away to do so
19:06As it seems pretty difficult
19:08To get airbags from Lamborghini itself
19:10There's a few bolts holding it in
19:12And finally the curtain airbags are out
19:14There we go
19:16And that is one curtain airbag out
19:18Another job we always need to do
19:20Is either replace the seatbelts or get them fixed
19:22The explosive normally goes off in the belt
19:24Which retracts the driver or passenger
19:26Back in the seat
19:28To make sure they're in a safe place
19:30When the airbag's deployed
19:32Yes, belt off
19:34And that's most of the interior stripped
19:36On to the next step
19:38The steering wheel airbag
19:40We want to get this out
19:42We can't reset this because it's broken the lever
19:44We can't actually order airbags from Lamborghini
19:46Normally there's a little hole on the side
19:50What I ended up having to do
19:52Is remove the carbon cowling
19:54From the back of the steering wheel
19:56To access a hole
19:58Where I push my screwdriver in
20:00To release the airbag
20:02The wiring may be slightly perished
20:04But it did come off
20:06That was very hard, look at that
20:08That's the steering wheel airbag out
20:10Curtain airbags, seatbelts
20:12All ready to be reset
20:14Or replaced
20:16Okay, airbags being sent away
20:18Still no start up
20:20But we're trying to assess the damage of this
20:22Full carbon fibre tub
20:24Now I think
20:26What looks like
20:28This broken carbon fibre here
20:30Which I took a gamble on this
20:32I think this is just the front subframe
20:34So if we can get to it
20:36And just see how bad it is
20:38If there's any more damage underneath
20:40The best way of doing that I think
20:42Is getting it in the ramp
20:44But there's loads of damaged parts
20:46We need to get off
20:48There's not even a drive shaft in here
20:50There's no wheel, the suspension's damaged
20:52So I think we've really got to have a full session
20:54Of stripping this car apart
20:56And learning what's broken
20:58What isn't broken
21:00What works where, what goes where
21:02What is this, I don't even know
21:04Half of this stuff what's on it
21:06It's mental
21:08But we're going to give it a go
21:10Let's get it in the ramp first
21:12And let's have a look underneath
21:14The only thing we haven't checked
21:16Is underneath the car
21:18Where of course that huge battery is
21:20And it's pretty stupid of us
21:22Not to check there first
21:24If there was damage to this battery
21:26We're playing with fire, literally
21:28All the battery is here
21:30So this is a full massive battery
21:32From front to back
21:34And that is going to weigh a lot
21:36There's nothing else much under here
21:38Really is there
21:40This damage here to this carbon subframe
21:42I don't think we can repair that
21:44There's a lot of stuff which bolts to it
21:46And it's just going to weaken it
21:48I think we're going to have to look for a price
21:50On a new one of these
21:52It's fully perished, look at that
21:54I think we're going to need to get that off
21:56And I'm hoping it does come off
21:58And it ain't attached to the rest of the top
22:00So that's the plan
22:02Continue taking off more broken parts
22:04To hopefully access that front subframe
22:06Hoping that it separates from the monocoque of the car
22:08Now on this left side
22:10It's completely ripped off everything
22:12The wheel, the suspension
22:14The power bar drop links
22:16The brake disc, the brake caliper
22:18Everything is gone
22:20So all I'm doing now
22:22Is unbolting everything that was left there
22:24And on the right hand side of the car
22:26My dad's undoing the arch lining
22:28So we can start taking off the front bumper
22:30The issue was though
22:32Is what lied behind this bumper
22:34Which sort of brought a little shock to the system
22:38Yes!
22:40Oh my god it weighs loads
22:42Just on this left hand side
22:44Ok
22:47This front frame bit
22:49Oh look at that
22:53Oh that's a bad day isn't it
22:55It's not looking good
22:57Oh my god it's cracked up here as well
22:59I've had a look how much this is
23:01£10,000 plus that
23:03From Lamborghini
23:05Oh it's not a good day though that is is it
23:07All carbon fibre
23:09But
23:11I did get the car for a good price
23:13And we'll get to that price
23:15But now
23:17We've got more broken parts to get off
23:19Oh my god
23:21Oh my days
23:25Each broken part we take off
23:27Adds more money to the repair bill
23:29And I have no idea
23:31Of what that's even going to be yet
23:33There it is
23:35What I do know
23:37Is that this part of the frame isn't repairable
23:39There's cracks in it all over
23:40So to start with
23:42It's £10,000 for one of them
23:44Then it's this front subframe
23:46Which I'm going to start trying to take off now
23:48Now I actually know how this car got into an accident
23:51Which we'll get onto
23:53But a good place to start on finding out the car's history
23:55Is with car vertical
23:57And some of the eagle eyed viewers may have noticed something
23:59On the car vertical check
24:01You can see that this car comes back as white
24:03But clearly the car's sat in black
24:05Well this is actually a wrap
24:07You might have seen when I've opened the doors
24:08Some of the nuts and bolts are white
24:10So maybe we'll go back to that colour when we're repairing
24:13I can also see on the report
24:15That it's only had one owner
24:17No surprise there
24:19And I do know who that was
24:21Another cool thing about car vertical
24:23Is that if you were checking a car out
24:25And it had been in an accident
24:27Sometimes it'll even show you the photos
24:29Of when the car was auctioned off
24:31At the car crash auction site
24:33So it looks like we can't get this off
24:35Without touching these orange wires
24:36Because as soon as we touch these orange wires
24:38And unplug them
24:40It does like a safety kind of close down
24:43And to reactivate it all
24:45It needs the Lamborghini software
24:47But it doesn't look like we're going to
24:49We've tried so long to try and avoid this
24:51And now it's just getting to the point
24:53Where we're going to have to do it
24:55Put your rubber gloves on
24:57This subframe wasn't coming off any other way
25:00We had to touch the hybrid system
25:02Look at that in the air
25:07And it's a good job we did
25:09Because we actually found some damage on it
25:11More surprises for me
25:13But you can avoid surprises with car vertical
25:16Because you'll even be able to see
25:18Whether the car you're checking out
25:20Has had any mileage discrepancies
25:22Or it's ever been stolen
25:24Which is handy to know
25:26So before you buy a car
25:28Check it out using car vertical
25:30Or check your own car out
25:32With the link in the description box below
25:34And use code Matt for discount on that check
25:37This is never going back together
25:40This is never going back together
25:44Wow it's wall light
25:46Yeah
25:48It's all carbon isn't it I suppose
25:50Oh my days
25:52It's finally off
25:55Next time anyone crashes a Rivolto
25:58Do not hit the front subframe
26:00Because that was two days
26:02Two days to try and figure out how that came off
26:04It's going to be about eight days
26:06And that is well and truly perish
26:08But it's a good job we've done this
26:10Because we've noticed even more damage
26:12Look at this huge electric motor back here
26:14Pipes go into it which are dented
26:17Oh my days
26:19Here is one destroyed front subframe
26:22At least we know it comes off the monocoque now
26:25But this thing isn't cheap
26:27In fact the price shocked me
26:29£55,000 plus VAT
26:33On top of that
26:34Is the other parts
26:36Which we're just kind of figuring out
26:38This is the front differential
26:40So this is what gives the wheels
26:42At the front drive
26:44And the craziest thing that I couldn't understand
26:46Is normally you have a prop shaft
26:48Running from the gearbox at the back
26:50All the way to the front
26:52Americans call it a dry shaft
26:54Which spins from the engine power to there
26:56But this doesn't have anything
26:58Under here look there's no gap
27:00There's nothing
27:02This front differential is purely powered
27:04Crazy but also clever
27:06And apparently this front differential
27:08Is also your reverse gear
27:10All it does to go in reverse
27:12Is go backwards
27:14And it doesn't use actually any of the engine power
27:16To go backwards
27:18And you've got one of these on the front
27:20And also one on the back
27:22And I think they're like 160 odd horsepower each
27:24Or something like that
27:26And with power and energy comes heat
27:28And that explains all the cooling system on the front
27:30Issue is we're missing a lot of radiators
27:32On the left hand side of the car
27:34To try and charge the hybrid battery
27:36Without that cooling system being intact
27:41The Lamborghini Rivolto
27:43Now
27:45These cars at the minute
27:47Second hand used
27:49Are worth upwards of 500,000 pounds
27:52I got
27:54My Lamborghini Rivolto for
27:59230,000 pounds
28:04Less than half price
28:06What this car originally would have cost
28:08Which I think is
28:10Well so far
28:12Ain't a bad deal at all
28:14The problem lies
28:16With the parts
28:20This
28:22Is what 90,000 pounds worth of parts
28:24Look like for a Lamborghini Rivolto
28:26And it's not
28:28Looking great
28:30Because we need a lot more than this
28:32To get this car running
28:34We've got all other
28:36Lists of the bits and bobs that we need
28:38Just to finish off
28:40This front end
28:42That's without the bumper or any body panels
28:44Just the structural parts
28:46And all the suspension and everything
28:48And it's come to an additional
28:5020,000 pounds
28:52And 32p
28:54So this isn't going to be cheap or easy
28:56But one thing I worry about the Rivolto
28:58Even though it's not completely electric
29:00Most electric cars value plummet to the ground
29:02And I think it's because
29:04Some people in future
29:06May want an old Ferrari
29:08Or an old Lamborghini
29:10To drive on the weekends for nostalgia
29:12Which increases the value of those cars
29:14But you don't use an old iPhone
29:16On the weekend for nostalgia
29:18So the quicker I can get this Rivolto repaired
29:20The better
29:22But then there's other issues as well
29:24Now what was not included on that parts list
29:26Which we ran into a little problem with
29:28Is this battery here
29:30So you can see they have little plastic exits
29:32With the coolant hoses on the top there
29:34So they don't actually sell
29:36These bits separately
29:38You have to buy the whole battery
29:40Which is around 8,000 pounds
29:42And I'm not buying a battery for 8,000 pounds
29:44Just for the plastic connector in there
29:46So I don't want to risk
29:48Fixing that
29:50Because the cooling of the battery
29:52Is so vital
29:54And if it overheats we could lose
29:56The front differential, the rear differential
29:58The battery could catch fire
30:00It could be a big problem
30:02So we need to somehow
30:04Or maybe try and get one off another car
30:06A scrap battery, I don't know
30:08It's the most simplest things
30:10But they won't sell it separately
30:12It comes on the battery
30:14Problem
30:16So how did the Rivolto
30:18End up like this in the first place
30:20Well it used to belong to this guy
30:22Johnny
30:24Now Johnny buys these cars to raffle off
30:26And it all went wrong
30:28On the day before the raffle of the Rivolto
30:31The car was going to go to a winner
30:32The next day
30:34So Johnny needed to get a Rivolto ASAP
30:36And the only person he knew
30:38To get rid of this one
30:40And to get some cash quick
30:42Was to come to me
30:44And of course I can't say no
30:46To a crash damage less than half price
30:48Rivolto
30:50And that's when he sold it to me
30:52Before you go
30:54There's a new drop available
30:56On the Hard Work Beats Talent shop website
30:58The new hoodie here
31:00You can see here
31:02If you've enjoyed this video
31:04Hit the subscribe button
31:06Hit the thumbs up button
31:08And I'll see you in the next video
31:10Peace out
31:12If we'd done this to a car
31:14We'd get called bodgers
31:16But look at that
31:18Whacked a bolt in it in a clamp
31:20Someone's going to say that's there for a reason
31:22Oh it's a bleed screw
31:24Well that's what we normally put in then
