00:00Venezuelan President, during his program with Maduro Mas, reported the denunciation made
00:18by the executive vice president Vázquez Rodríguez on Monday against ExxonMobil.
00:25In Argentina, authorities registered at least 16 people dead and over 100 missing after
00:29the passing of a storm.
00:32China's tariffs on U.S. agricultural goods go into effect on Monday in response to the
00:37recent fees set by Washington.
00:44Hello welcome to From the South, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Metalhead Studios in Caracas,
00:48Venezuela.
00:49We begin with the news, stay with us.
00:59Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, during his program with Maduro Mas, reported the
01:12denunciation made by the executive vice president Vázquez Rodríguez on Monday against ExxonMobil.
01:17It was shown evidence and proof of the payment of lobbying by the transnational ExxonMobil,
01:24which operates illegally on unlimited waters in favor of the government of Guyana, so that
01:30the U.S. government would suspend the operating license of the oil company Chevron in Venezuela.
01:34The head of state also revealed that these documents have arrived with sufficient material,
01:38evidence and elements.
01:40He recalled that Chevron has more than a century of oil operations in Venezuela and this company
01:45has shown that it wants to invest and has done so and has reached a good level of growth
01:50together with the Venezuelan state, in accordance with the laws and the Bolivarian constitution.
01:59The executive vice president of Venezuela, Derecho Rodríguez, unveiled on Monday a document
02:24that evidences ExxonMobil's lobbying efforts against oil subsidiaries in the Latin American
02:29nation.
02:30In her remarks, Rodríguez informed that ExxonMobil paid a lobbyist to have Chevron expelled from
02:34Venezuela.
02:35Furthermore, the high official denounced how the company has been conspiring against the
02:39nation for over a decade in complicity with the government of Guyana, seeking to undermine
02:44its economic stability.
02:46In this regard, the executive vice president stressed that Guyana is not a victim but a
02:49protagonist who has been playing its role against the Bolivarian nation.
02:53In addition, vice president Rodríguez condemned the unilateral coercive measures imposed against
02:58the country with the aim to impact the oil sector, in spite of the negative consequences
03:03they would have on the Venezuelan population.
03:06Rodríguez also denounced the involvement of the far right in this matter, which has
03:09done everything possible to damage the country's economy and stability.
03:20These ideologists produced a document.
03:24That is this document.
03:27What was the purpose of this document?
03:30To influence the decision makers and the authorities of the United States administration in order
03:35to say that more sanctions not only, obviously, cause great economic suffering in the population,
03:42but also generate possibilities of regime change.
03:46If you see here, because they refer to something that is a lie.
03:51They say that a period of humanitarian measures in favor of Venezuela.
03:56In the years 2016, 2020, 74% of the unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela are concentrated.
04:12Likewise the Venezuelan vice president denounced that in the event of any threat against any
04:16state authority, they will hold the US company ExxonMobil responsible.
04:25They are asking for more internal political pressure, more internal political pressure.
04:29What are they referring to?
04:32The coup d'etat?
04:37They are trying, they are trying, incessantly, they are trying, they have already tried,
04:42they are trying to undermine the territorial integrity of Venezuela, they have already tried.
04:48I denounce, responsibly, that if something happens to a high authority of the Bolivarian
04:56Republic of Venezuela, I hold the ExxonMobil directly responsible for the plans it has
05:01against Venezuela.
05:05Moreover Rodriguez denounced that ExxonMobil paid to get Chevron oil company out of Venezuela.
05:16It is a strategy paid by ExxonMobil, there is the evidence, here it is, it is said by
05:21a former minister of Guyana, it is not said by President Nicolas Maduro, the vice president,
05:26Diosdado Cabello, Jorge Rodriguez, no.
05:30It is said by the former minister who was the one who managed and negotiated the contract
05:35with ExxonMobil, who says there how he was paid, what he was paid for and this document,
05:40in fact, to withdraw licenses to transnational companies, among them the most important one,
05:45an American company, Chevron, which has been in Venezuela for more than 100 years.
05:51This document was made by the same ideologists who intend to attack Venezuela in order to
05:56steal the oil that belongs to Venezuelans.
05:59The president has said it, this is a shot in the foot, this step taken by the United
06:04States is a shot in the foot.
06:13In this context, the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado
06:16Cabello, reiterated that President Nicolas Maduro paused communications with the United
06:20States after the suspension of the license to Chevron.
06:25Well, the Venezuelan right wing, as we receive these people as human beings, first they said
06:32that we are receiving them as heroes and that when they govern, they were going to receive
06:36them as criminals.
06:40Let us remember how most of the Venezuelans arrived to the United States, through the
06:45coyotes, all this opposition headed by Leopoldo López, Guaido, by Carlos Vecchio, by Paparoni,
06:52by Pizarro, by Leopoldo López, by Julio Borges and by La Seona too.
06:59Because they are all linked, they are all brothers in violence.
07:04So now Venezuelans, all Venezuelans are bad.
07:11The United States made a decision to suspend Chevron's license and we say something is
07:16happening here, so we suspend everything.
07:22It was the President's decision because do you remember how this agenda started?
07:29What was the agenda?
07:31The zero agenda.
07:34Caballo pointed out that the territory of Guayana Esequibo belongs to the country by
07:37maritime law and recommended the government of Guayana not to interfere with Venezuela.
07:45We will continue advancing because this is our territory.
07:49Everything on the east side of the Esequibo River belongs to Venezuela and this generates
07:54rights in the sea.
07:59And this generates other rights, other rights, they have tried to provoke our armed force,
08:04the Guyanese army, the servile that they have from the ExxonMobil there as President, to
08:11provoke our armed force.
08:14They should remember that when they provoke this country, 200 years can pass and we don't
08:19give up.
08:23We don't give up Mr. Employee of the ExxonMobil that governs Guayana, don't mess with Venezuela,
08:29we don't mess with anyone, with anyone.

09:08the passing of a storm.

11:35to take over the entity's funds to privatize them with an individual system, which was
11:39the proposal of the popular movement.

11:45determination of lower pensions that are far from being profitable.
11:50In addition, social movements warned that they had a list of over 15 possible sources

14:37programs they are keeping to now be administered more effectively under the State Department.

15:28to generate a trade deficit in the United States.
15:32Trade with China has historically allowed the U.S. to import quality products at lower
15:37costs, benefiting consumers and fostering job creation in several sectors.
