00:15Along with the advancement of technology, particularly artificial intelligence,

00:20teachers should not be left behind according to the DepEd.

00:24That's why DepEd will open 200,000 slots for teachers who have joined the Upskill Artificial Intelligence Training.

00:31The use of AI will be mandatory.

00:33It will be like the ability to use a computer and maybe even more.

00:37That's why, as they say, your job may not be under threat,

00:41but someone who knows more about AI, you might be under threat from that person.

00:46So, what we want is that all our teachers can be AI savvy.

00:50This is a joint project of DepEd and an online platform

00:53in front of the work of people who do not pursue technology.

00:58You may not change your role, but your role is changing on you.

01:01AI is accelerating that pace of change more than ever before.

01:06In the past 10 years, about 40% of our roles and skills changed.

01:11In the next 5 years, we expect that to go up to 70%.

01:16Daisy Kimpo is a teacher.

01:18She has long embraced AI technology in teaching.

01:23And she is now teaching her students the ethical use or responsible use of AI.

01:29We just have the right directives, the right guidelines.

01:34We are very welcome. We embrace the help of AI.

01:38Even the math teacher, Irene Rentoy, is now studying AI.

01:44Kids nowadays are very into AI.

01:48Of course, if you are a teacher and you don't know anything about AI,

01:51you will be influenced by the students.

01:53Sometimes, kids nowadays really know how to use AI, especially in comprehension.
