00:00One of the most popular attractions of Aklan is the island of Boracay.
00:06It is known for its powdery white sand and palm trees.
00:14But we didn't come here to chill and relax.
00:21We came here to challenge our bodies in a triathlon event.
00:26And it's a fierce competition.
00:2936 hours before a race, triathletes eat a lot of carbohydrates.
00:37Or we call it carbo-loading.
00:39Because we know that carbohydrates are what gives us energy.
00:44Tomorrow, when we race, it will be 4 hours non-stop.
00:49Swim, bike, and run.
00:51We won't eat in the middle of the race.
00:53So whatever is stored in your carbohydrate that will give you energy,
00:58you need to eat it first for the past 36 hours.

02:03Carbo-loading is a strategy of athletes to imbue glycogen or energy storage in our body.

03:05The triathlon is an endurance multi-sport where three different athletes compete.
03:19The race starts with swimming.
03:28I'm excited to swim because it's white sand,
03:32so it's a bit different compared to other seas where we swim far away.
03:42They will ride a bicycle.
03:44My favorite part in a triathlon is usually the bike part.
03:52And finally, the running.
03:56I didn't expect that even the running is a mountain.

05:49I was really surprised because I was also the second oldest.
