00:00A party on Tyneside, decades in the making.
00:07Around 300,000 Newcastle United supporters took to either the city streets or the Town
00:13Moor as the club paraded the Carabao Cup just two weeks after the triumph at Wembley.
00:22The open-top bus route took the players, staff and trophy from St James' Park to the Town
00:28Moor on what was a momentous day.
00:58And you can see all the players, Jason Tindall there, Dan Byrne, Eddie Howe and the Cup all
01:09going by.
01:10What a scene.
01:11Hundreds of thousands of the Town Moor ahead of me as well.
01:14It's bedlam here.
01:16Scenes like this have not been seen in Newcastle for so, so long and the city are absolutely
01:20loving it.
01:28Local flags had been busy earlier on in the day, making sure that the city was ready to
01:33welcome its heroes.
01:34And, even with hours before the parade, a sense of anticipation was in the air as the
01:40crowds began to develop up parts of St James' Park.
01:46We got absolutely buzzing there, absolutely buzzing, I can't wait.
01:49Watch the parade here, hopefully catch the first bit and head over straight to Top Rock.
01:54Those who had opted to head straight for the Town Moor were busy reliving the final.
01:58It's amazing.
01:59I like to see all the events and the atmosphere, I get to relive it a little bit which is nice.
02:08By this point, the bus parade was approaching the Moor and the crowds there were continuing
02:13to grow as former players including Les Ferdinand and Alan Shearer took to the stage to answer
02:20questions about the victory.
02:23Head coach Eddie Howe and some of his players were in disbelief at the scenes they had witnessed.
02:28That was amazing, absolutely incredible.
02:30Big thank you to all the people in Newcastle for coming out, braving the weather and supporting
02:35us and waiting that long to see us.
02:38An amazing day and just shows the passion because there was just a willingness from
02:41the people to celebrate and a real want and a lot of emotion as well and I think we felt
02:45that in the aftermath of the game against Liverpool, that emotion is still there and
02:50I think today is a great way for us all to come together as a city.
02:53Today I've been quite emotional, I've been trying to compose myself every so often when
02:57I looked in the crowd and there was someone crying, it was making me cry so it's nice
03:01to feel something anyway and I knew that was going to be amazing, there was going to be
03:05a lot of fans there but I don't think anything could have prepared us for that so it was
03:09possible.
03:10It was surreal, it was unbelievable, I can't really put it into words, I think you just
03:14have to look at the videos and see how happy I was on top of that bus just smiling, chanting
03:18with the fans, yeah it was unbelievable.
03:21Once on stage, the players lifted the cup before Alexander Isaac showed off his best
03:26geordie.
03:27Are you walking?
03:28Well, we've just had the players on stage there behind me, lifting the Carabao Cup trophy
03:39for the first time since they were at Wembley a couple of weeks ago, then Anton Dek interviewed
03:44a few of the players who played in that match, including the two first scores, Alexander Isaac
03:48and Dan Bird, as well as speaking to Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall and these will be memories
03:53that no-one in this crowd will forget for the rest of their life.
03:57We're now waiting for the Salah Jordan display to set the light on the skies after this as
04:02well.
04:03Did you enjoy that?
04:04Yeah, definitely.
04:05Who's your favourite player?
04:06Isaac.
04:07And will that be the first trophy, do you think they'll win a lot more in the future?
04:11Of course, they'll win a lot.
04:13They'll win loads.
04:14I mean, it's been such a long 60 days, I've been a season ticket holder, but it's been
04:21tremendous.
04:22I mean, I can't even think.
04:25And with that, the drones took flight, recreating Dan Bird's header and then Alexander Isaac's
04:31strike from the Wembley win.
04:33If anyone needed a reminder just what this cup meant to Newcastle, this day was it.
04:41Today, it's been something amazing.
