00:00Is the Travis Hunter dream dead?
00:02It seems like a lot of people now believe he's going to Cleveland.
00:05Do you think that dream is dead?
00:06And how interested would the Patriots be, even if he were there?
00:11That's a great question.
00:13It's something that I'm starting to try and prod today on Quick Slants.
00:17And with my soon-to-be-submitted poll on the platform X,
00:22I'm trying to prod Patriots fans to the idea that maybe they're not going to get the pony.
00:27Okay?
00:28But maybe you can get a really nice bicycle instead.
00:33Because I do think that you should start to anticipate that Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter,
00:38who are far and away the two best players on everybody's big board,
00:44are going to be gone by the time the Patriots stick.
00:47So with that said, the Patriots need to be prepared for that.
00:52Would they take Travis Hunter if he was there?
00:54I presume he would because he's pretty much everybody's number one consensus big board guy.
01:01If you look at every analyst, everybody, and everybody's looking at each other's paper on this crap anyway.
01:07But it's Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter.
01:09So it's less than 50%, I would say, that he's going to sit there.
01:16But that means that if those two guys go as what qualifies as elite players in this year's draft,
01:25and the only two elite players,
01:27and Cam Ward goes one,
01:29and he's probably around 20 on most people's big boards,
01:33and Shadar Sanders isn't even in anyone's top 20 on the big board,
01:37you're still going to get the third best player in the draft.
01:40And a lot of them play positions that the Patriots need.
01:42So it's not worth stomping upstairs on Christmas morning if you don't get those two.
