"Global Resorts Network" entered an environment filled with people selling travel agent programs to "nickle and dime" marketers happy to earn enough monthly profit to pay their phome bill and another group selling boxes filled with free travel certificates they were selling for up to $11,000. Without much effort (Global Resorts Network) was able to dominate that group with a little known travel club membership in whick most members live overseas. Global Resorts Network does not actually own a travel membership. They simply have acquired the rights to sell one that is administered by Gold Crown Resorts. This is similar to the arrangement a Toyota retailer has with the company that actually builds Toyota vehicles. The Toyota retailer generally does not have enough influence over the manufacturer to make design changes. The relationship between Global Resorts Network and Gold Crown Resort has spelled problems for Alfonso Morales, Chuck Tomlin and GRN Affiliates. As Global Resorts Network faces competition from a U S owned and based membership company, they desperately need a product that is more user friendly to Americans. The Gold Crown Resort vacation club membership they sell is designed for the members Gold Crown Resort has overseas. Global Resorts Network does not have control over the memberships usability. Gold Crown Resorts has more members living overseas and will continue to strive to make the membership a good choice in their core markets and the United States is not their core market. The competition faced by Global Resorts Network does not have the problems GRN faces with Gold Crown Resort. They have been able to influence the U S based and owned membership company they work with to make improvements to the membership that were requested by their network marketing members.
