00:41Just a year ago, Sue, a Dearborn resident, responded to an advertisement for Juvederm lip injections
00:46at European Tanning Club and Hair Design.
00:49She tells us the Dearborn Heights salon was offering the injectables by an in-house esthetician named Abby.
00:55For less than half the price of what a typical plastic surgeon charges.
01:00But after buying into the bargain deal, Sue felt something was off.
01:04My lips don't feel right. They feel a little bit thick.
01:06And I had like a cut.
01:09She showed us video of the cut that formed in the middle of her bottom lip.
01:13After expressing concerns to the esthetician, she says she was told the reaction was completely normal.
01:19Really, it all comes back to the same kind of messages we always talk about.
01:27If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
