00:00Hey, what's up, y'all? It's Nikki Vaughn, and it's our first Doggy Dog Thursday of the New Year.
00:05I'm so excited. Happy New Year, Sarah.
00:07Yes, to you guys, too.
00:08We had a great 2019. All of our fur babies were adopted. I'm so happy to say that.
00:14So who do we have here today with us?
00:16So today we have Finn. He is about 10 weeks old.
00:21He is, we think he's a Rottweiler. He might be a Rottweiler mix, but he was actually an owner surrender.
00:28We got him and all five of his litter mates.
00:32Any girls in the litter?
00:33Yes, we have three boys and three girls.
00:35Okay.
00:36So he's got two brothers and three sisters.
00:38Here, you want to go down?
00:40All three of the boys are available today.
00:43Okay.
00:44The girls should be available in the next day or two. They just still need to get spayed.
00:47Okay.
00:48But he came to us because his owners actually had the mom, and she had puppies,
00:54and they have a family member who's in the hospital, so they couldn't care for all the puppies.
00:57So we got all of him and his siblings.
01:00And how many, again, were in the litter?
01:02Six.
01:02Six in the litter.
01:03And if someone wanted to adopt him today, what would it take?
01:06They need to go to metrodetroitanimals.org, or they can give us a call at 313-943-2697,
01:14and we'll go over everything.
01:16We'll make sure you know all the things that come with owning a puppy, that they are more work.
01:22You have to work on house training, and they will have all their puppy tendencies of chewing.
01:28Like a baby.
01:29Yeah.
01:30But we'll go over everything.
01:32He does come.
01:33He's neutered, which is why he's got his lovely little cone on.
01:35Okay.
01:36And then he is up-to-date on all his shots, and he will be microchipped.
01:39Okay.
01:39So they just go over everything with you, and his fee is $275.
01:43$275.
01:43And that's for his brothers and sisters in the litter, too?
01:46Yep.
01:46Yep.
01:46Oh, look at the hand.
01:47Everybody's $275.
01:49And he's cute.
01:52He's playful.
01:52He's so cute.
01:53Yeah.
01:54He's a good boy.
01:55Yes, he is.
01:55Now, you said he's about 10 weeks old?
01:57Yeah, we think he's about 10 weeks.
01:59Okay.
01:59How big is he going to get?
02:01Assuming, it kind of depends on how much Rottweiler he is.
02:07Okay.
02:07If he's full, you know, they're big dogs.
02:10Yeah.
02:11But his paws aren't huge right now, so he probably won't get huge.
02:16I mean, we really have no way of knowing.
02:17Okay.
02:17But he definitely will be a bigger dog.
02:19Yeah.
02:19You just taught me something today.
02:21I had no idea you could look at the paws and realize or find out how big puppies will get.
02:27I didn't know.
02:28Yeah.
02:28I mean, it's not a for sure thing, but you can tell when they're little pups and they have really big paws, they're going to be big dogs.
02:34He likes me.
02:35He's giving me kisses.
02:37I want to keep him.
02:39I like him.
02:39All right.
02:39So, again, if you want to adopt Ben and see his litter and meet Sarah, just check him out.
02:45Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit.
02:47Thanks, Sarah.
02:47No, thanks.
02:48Thanks.
