00:05Detroit and we have a very playful fur baby today. Who's this with us? This is Simon. He is a playful

00:12little boy. He's being held calm at the moment but we'll see how long that lasts. He is about one. He

00:21came to us as a stray dog so we don't know a ton about him but that's our our age estimate. He's

00:29very sweet. He really likes his people. He's super playful. Yes. But he it's kind of funny because

00:35all his stuff said oh you know he's shy. Not at all. No here he's been he's been really active. He said

00:41hi to everybody. He's loved them all. He gave me a kiss. Yes. If you notice Simon is wearing my

00:46Ruby Woo Mac lipstick. Yeah. That's a good color on you Simon. Yeah. But he's he's good. We think

00:54he'd do best for a calmer home. We're suggesting kids over eight just because he's still young. He

01:00can be a little little active and crazy but in a good way. He's a good boy. Well he shined all my

01:07shoes. He licked my shoes and got them nice and shiny so I love him already. Yeah. Now would you say

01:15this is a good time to adopt a pet closer to Christmas? A lot of people might be looking for

01:20that. It's it's kind of either or. If you're looking for a pet for Christmas that you're

01:25planning on keeping. Yes. It's great. It is I mean if you're home around Christmas and you have the

01:31time to devote to getting a new pet acclimated to your home and learning your routine it's great.

01:36A lot of people have time off around Christmas and some people do it and spend the time and with

01:40the whole family there. Unfortunately we also do see the shelters end up more full in January

01:46because there's the people that you know do the oh it'd be so cute for my kid to open a kitten on

01:51Christmas and then realize that they the responsibility of it. Yeah. So I mean if you're

01:56seriously planning on keeping a dog or a cat and you have the time to spend around Christmas it is a

02:01good time while everybody's home and has the time but if you're really busy and it's just it can also

02:07not be a good time. So it kind of depends on your personal personal time and yeah what you've got

02:12going on. Yeah well if you have time you should definitely come by and see Simon. You would love

02:17him. He's such a good dog aren't you boy? You can see them at Metro uh I'm sorry say the website again

02:25MetroDetroitAnimals.org. That's it. And I believe his adoption fee is a hundred right now so he and that

02:33comes with him spayed well boy so he'd be neutered um he's up to date on all his vaccines he's microchipped

02:38and he'll get a collar and a leash and go home and join your family. Sounds great. Thank you Sarah and Simon.
