The afternoon will see rain fall in the western side of the UK mainland and over Northern Ireland, but this will ease off in England and Wales towards the end of the day. The afternoon in the east of the UK however will be quite pleasant, with spells of sunshine emerging throughout the afternoon. Daytime maximum temperatures will be in the mid teens and it will tend to be warmer further east. - This is your Met Office UK weather forecast for 19/04/2025.

00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Met Office. The mixed
00:04picture continues as we go through the rest of this Easter weekend but
00:08thankfully for parts of the southwest today will be a little bit drier compared
00:12to what we saw on Good Friday but still a fair bit of cloud and rain across the
00:17west with the heaviest the most persistent rain probably focused over
00:20towards Western Scotland maybe parts of Northern Ireland too. Best of the
00:24sunshine this afternoon will be over towards Eastern Scotland down into
00:28Northern England maybe parts of East Anglia and the southeast too but with
00:31more of an onshore flow here today it will be feeling cooler compared to Friday
00:36with maybe the highest temperatures down towards the very far south of England
00:40where we could see highs reaching around 16 or 17 degrees. Into the evening and
00:46nighttime period for much of Scotland England and Wales actually should be a
00:50fairly quiet night we will see some low cloud drifting from the North Sea so
00:54quite a murky night to come across the eastern coast and still going to see
00:58some rain for parts of Northern Ireland and the very far west of Scotland. Where
01:03we do see the clearer skies it will be turning chilly you could just see a touch
01:07of frost in the most prone spots. So if we start Easter day we are keeping an eye on
01:12the risk of some showers just moving in across the very far south eastern corner
01:16for a time could even hear the odd of rumble of thunder but they will ease away
01:20again as we approach midday. From most of England Scotland and Wales it should be a
01:25fairly fine Easter day. Best of the sunshine will be focused across Scotland,
01:29Northern England and Wales with parts of southern England turning increasingly
01:34overcast as the day goes on. For Northern Ireland and the far west of Scotland
01:39however still the risk of some showers here but maybe the far east of Northern
01:43Ireland seeing a fairly fine afternoon. Where we do see the sunshine feeling
01:48pleasant enough could see highs reaching 16, 17 possibly even 18 degrees in a few
01:54spots. But unfortunately as we go into Easter Monday we will see a return to rain
01:59across many parts of the UK but not wash out completely there will be some
02:03brighter and sunnier moments in between bands of rain and showers but some of the
02:07rain could potentially be on the heavy side. Temperatures for most of us around
02:11where they should be for the time of year but in the sunshine it will feel
02:14pleasant but if you're stuck under the cloud and rain again a rather disappointing
02:19day to come. But if you want more information about the weather where you
02:22are over the rest of this Easter weekend you can check out our app or look on our
