00:00Good afternoon, we've got an east-west split in the weather today, drier in the east but
00:05turning increasingly unsettled from the west. And this is all to do with an area of low
00:10pressure that's going to be moving eastwards across the country through Sunday into Monday
00:15before gradually pulling its way eastwards as we go through Tuesday. Once that clears
00:21through though, there are signs of higher pressure building as we go through Wednesday,
00:26helping to settle things down a bit. But through the rest of this afternoon, further
00:31towards the north and east, we'll hold on to some hazy spells of sunshine and generally
00:36staying largely dry here. But further towards the west, this is that area of low pressure,
00:42so we're going to see some strong gusty winds. We've got a Met Office wind warning in force
00:46across the southern parts of England and into Wales as well. Gusts up to 50 or 60 miles
00:52per hour, especially over the highest ground and along the coasts. Also, turning increasingly
00:58wet, we've got outbreaks of rain across southwestern parts of England into Wales and across Northern
01:04Ireland as we go into the afternoon. But in the sunshine, further towards the east across
01:10Scotland, we'll see highs of up to 14 degrees, highs towards the southeast up to 16, but
01:16further towards the west under the outbreaks of rain, despite it being milder here, probably
01:21feeling quite unpleasant. Now, as we go through Sunday evening, that cloud and rain will continue
01:27to push its way north and eastwards. We have a rain warning that also comes into force
01:32across southern counties where we've already seen a lot of rainfall. So we could expect
01:36some travel disruptions, but also some flooding impacts are possible. Further towards the
01:42north, it will be turning increasingly cloudy across parts of Scotland, though largely dry
01:47with some clear spells across Northern Ireland, turning cloudier here once again with outbreaks
01:53of rain the further west you go. But there's a lot of cloud around tonight and that will
01:58help keep temperatures up, so generally around 10 or 11 degrees to start Monday morning.
02:05But a damp start to Monday morning with some heavy spells of rain, so it could be some
02:09difficult driving conditions. That rain continues to push its way northwards, affecting northern
02:14parts of Wales into North Midlands and then into Yorkshire and Lincolnshire as well. And
02:20here we could expect further disruption with further flooding possible. Towards the south
02:26of that, it should turn a little bit drier, albeit still quite cloudy, may see some glimmers
02:32of sunshine, especially the further south west you go. Still holding on to some outbreaks
02:36of rain across parts of Northern Ireland. Further towards Scotland, some sunny spells
02:42but also a few showers around, so generally quite a messy picture out there to start the
02:47new working week. Still going to be breezy along the English Channel and towards East
02:52Anglia as well, but generally lighter winds the further north you go. Otherwise, temperatures
02:58feeling quite chilly underneath any persistent rain, especially across this section in the
03:04north. Highs here 13, 14 degrees, but probably feeling a little bit chillier than that. Further
03:09towards the south, highs of 16 or 17 degrees. Now, as we go through Monday evening, that
03:15rain persists across parts of the Midlands and especially across parts of Lincolnshire
03:20once again, so could see further disruption as we end Monday evening. Further towards
03:26the west, we will start to see some clearer spells, but there's still a fair bit of cloud
03:31around into the night. But it is looking to improve as we go through Tuesday and into
03:37Wednesday. The rain will clear towards the south and east, then it turns drier and brighter
03:43as we get higher pressure become more established, but that will also lead in to some chilly
03:47nights to come. So, a fair amount of weather to get through the next couple of days, but
