00:00Hey guys, it's Melissa from the Get Up Crew on Hot 96.9 and we are here with
00:04Tony Motla from Ruka Restobar located in the Godfrey Hotel in Boston and we are
00:09mixing up some cocktails to enjoy with monkey shoulder 100% malt whiskey, voted
00:15a top-trending whiskey by the world's best bars. Now Tony, what are we mixing up
00:20here? Melissa, today I'm making a cocktail called Goldie's Chapo, so this
00:23is inspired by the Peruvian side of the Nikkei cuisine we have at Ruka Restobar.
00:28Okay, sounds great. And to start this one off, I'm going to start off with three
00:32quarters of an ounce of fresh lemon juice. Now this cocktail, Goldie's Chapo, is
00:36named for the Goldie's Monkey, which is native to the Peruvian Amazon. Half an
00:43ounce of macadamia liqueur in there as well. Okay, that sounds fantastic. And then the
00:49Chapo part comes from a traditional Peruvian Amazon beverage called Chapo,
00:54which is made with boiled sweet plantains and some fresh baking spices. What? So
00:59this is a honey plantain syrup that I'm adding in there as well. And now the
01:03final ingredient here, we have monkey shoulder blended triple malt scotch
01:08whiskey. Amazing. I'm going to do an ounce and a half of the monkey shoulder today. Okay. Now for this one we're
01:14going to serve on crushed ice, so I'm just going to add a few cubes. This already
01:18looks amazing. That honey thing that you put in there. Holy crap. That looks really good. A real nice richness, real good texture to the cocktail. Yeah, I like that.
01:28After a good ten or so seconds of shaking, open that tin up and use a highball glass here.
01:35I'm just going to pour everything right into the glass. That looks so good. And now to finish this off,
01:42we're going to top up with some crushed ice. Now there is such a thing as good ice, by the way. I'm
01:49just saying there's bad ice and good ice. That's the good ice. That looks great, Tony. That looks amazing. And to
01:56garnish Goldie's Chapo, we're going to add three plantain chips. Plantain chips in a cocktail. And to
02:05finish it up with some aromatics, some grated cinnamon right on top. Are you kidding? Okay, attention to
02:12detail is major here. This is crazy. I love it. That is a beautiful drink. And that's the Goldie's
