00:00Sunny 106.3, music that makes you feel good. I'm Gina Burke.
00:04Looking for a new friend? Adopt. Don't shop.
00:09Sunny 106.3 encourages you to support the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
00:14Oh yeah, it's time for the new Sunny 106.3 Pet of the Month.
00:18We usually do it the first Thursday of the month, but last week we bumped it
00:23and now we have Darcy in from the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
00:25And Darcy, you have brought a dog in that the entire station is falling in love with.
00:31I feel like I say this every time, but this one is especially special.
00:35Absolutely. And of course, he's my favorite, but I think I say that every time too.
00:39Yeah, right?
00:40But Finn is absolutely the perfect little dog.
00:43Finn, like F-I-N.
00:44F-I-N-N.
00:45Oh, two N's. All right, there we go.
00:47He's about 20 pounds. He is a perfect little gentleman.
00:51I brought him home with me last night.
00:53Wait, I'm bringing him directly to the studio this morning.
00:56He was perfect with my five dogs.
00:58Wait, wait, you have five dogs.
01:00I have four dogs and one foster.
01:02And Finn was great with all of the dogs.
01:04That's saying a lot.
01:05And my seven cats.
01:08And cats.
01:09And he was a perfect gentleman.
01:11He's housebroken.
01:13He slept in bed.
01:14Oh my goodness, the story gets better and better.
01:16I know, I know.
01:18Are you sure you're going to let us adopt him?
01:19My husband's like, does he really need to go on the radio this morning?
01:23He can stay.
01:24So that's why I have five dogs in my house.
01:26Yeah, exactly.
01:27He sits in the car ride here.
01:29He is perfect in the car ride.
01:31He is about a year and a half old.
01:33So he still has a little puppy in him.
01:34Okay.
01:35He walks well on the leash.
01:37He is just perfect right now.
01:39So anybody who wants, I think he'd probably be fantastic with kids in a home.
01:44He's very, very forgiving with everything.
01:46You know, even when my little dogs gave him correction and he just listened to her and
01:49had no problems with that.
01:51So he is, he is, he is ready to find a home of his own.
01:54Oh, and he does have a lot of energy, but not like too much.
01:57Just, he's not like an out of control kind of energy for a young dog.
02:00I noticed when he came in, he was inquisitive and he was loving and he, he liked us loving
02:05and petting on him and like to give kisses.
02:08Yes, he does.
02:09So, um, and even here, he's just laying down, being calm and he's just relaxing.
02:13And you know, this is a strange new environment for him and he adopts very well to everything.
02:18Exactly.
02:18All right.
02:19Tell everybody where they can find Finn and, um, and meet him and learn more and maybe adopt
02:24him.
02:25Um, absolutely.
02:26He's going to be at Gulf Coast Humane Society.
02:27We're open for adoption, uh, Tuesday through Friday from 12 to six and Saturday and Sunday
02:32from 12 to five.
02:33All right.
02:34There you have it.
02:35Go, uh, help us find Finn a home.
02:37Finn is the brand new sunny 106.3 pet of the month.
02:41Thank you, Darcy, for bringing him in.
02:42Thank you for having us here, Gina.
02:43You're welcome.
02:44All right.
02:44We're going to find him at home for sure.
