00:00Welcome to Median TV and for this chronicle culture, I am going to travel to Togo between
00:16the love and the war to talk about one of the last books of the Togolese, Mause Eka, who
00:25is at Rabat, the Salon des Livres de la Capitale, Mause Eka, who makes the pleasure and
00:33honor to be with us, Mause Eka, thank you very much for having accepted our invitation,
00:37I know that you have a double casquette, editor, but first this casquette editor,
00:42talk to us about your report to literature.
00:45Thank you for the invitation, I had a strong encounter with literature, normally I do
00:57the physical sciences, I am first for a scientific career, but I discovered the love for literature,
01:06and since the university I started to write poetry, and over the years my passion has grown
01:13and finally I have also written a dozen of books.
01:18I continue, it's good?
01:20Mause Eka, you said, it's one of your last books called En Amour Comme à la Guerre,
01:27it's a novel, very few of the writers s'attaquent to this category, I mean in this genre,
01:37in the literature, because mine of nothing, it's not easy.
01:41So, the novel, you used to try the novel, but you also love the poetry.
01:46Parlez-nous, just, in your choice, of your choice of literature,
01:50where you are the most at ease, let's say.
01:54I started, as I said earlier, by the poetry.
01:58I would say that my teacher at the university was initiated by the poetry.
02:03In order for us to read the thesis, to make us a little ateliers of literature,
02:08I started by there.
02:10But with the time, myself, as I read a lot, I started to griffonier things.
02:16And in 2005, there was a competition of novel writing.
02:20And when I did it, mine of nothing, I was the best.
02:26And the thesis respected point by point the novel criteria.
02:32And so, I found myself as a literary writer.
02:37And since then, I've done a lot.
02:39In the end, I've published, the books, that I published.
02:43And I tell you, I'll do it naturally.
02:47I've not had a particular course but after, I'm a bit of a character.
02:52So, let's say, my genre, the novel.
02:55Cause you're, as I said, an artist and editor.
02:59but also editor, and your editor's office, if you have seen the need to create your own editor's office,
03:11by love for the edition, or because it was also the opportunity for you to do auto-edition?
03:17That's also a story. When I started to write at school, there was a moment I wanted to publish.
03:26But at the time I wanted to publish, in the years 2000, I realized that there was a need for a home edition in the country.
03:36I waited for 3 or 5 years, and it didn't come, so I had the idea that if there was no editor, why not me to be an editor?
03:45So that's how I started. And quickly I realized, when I released 3 news, that there was a need for a home.
03:55In 2009, I became editor editor, and it was in 2009 when we released a novel that brought the editions of Audi.
04:05So it wasn't a chance that I discovered the editions, and 16 years later, I became a great editor togolais.
04:16A great editor togolais, who is here, in Rabat, in the Salon du Livre de la capital du Royaume du Maroc.
04:26Thank you very much.
04:36Thank you very much.
04:37It's my first time to arrive in the Maroc.
04:39We were invited already in 2014.
04:42It was our director who was here.
04:45So it was the first time I made the move.
04:48I didn't expect it to be such a great organization.
04:52Because we also made the fairs, the fairs, the fairs in the country.
04:57But it's not the same size.
04:59But here, I see that it's rodent.
05:01There is an impeccable organization, an extraordinary support.
05:07I swear, I am so excited by the organization and all.
05:11I'm waiting for a meeting.
05:14Because it's a part of Africa that we don't have all the time.
05:19Actually, I see a lot of different things from the other side.
05:25But I'm very proud of my meeting.
05:28And I believe even being published by the Moroccan authors.
05:33And I would also like to discover some titles from my home to the Moroccan lecturers.
05:40So, I really wait to meet and exchange.
05:45Mahoussi Eka, thank you very much for having accepted our invitation.
05:48I remind you that you are first of all, and first of all,
05:52but also the founder of the edition Audi in Togo.
