00:00now as everton prepare for a crucial summer questions amounting about how much the club
00:08will be able to spend on new signings with manager david moise eyeing key reinforcements
00:13the club faces a delicate balance between strengthening the squad and staying within
00:18financial constraints everton's previous financial situation was well documented and the budget for
00:24summer transfers will depend on both player sales and other potential revenue streams
00:29while there is some room for manoeuvre the club will need to be shrewd with its investments
00:34targeting players who can make an immediate impact without breaking the bank as the summer window
00:40approaches it's clear that everton will have to focus on smart acquisitions that can improve the
00:45while managing their finances carefully i spoke to liverpool world will rooney for the latest
00:51insights on how much everton can actually spend this summer
00:55well on to everton and in terms of their summer window and i would mention it's going to be
01:03you know a lot of change a lot of decisions to be made from from moise and his team
01:07um as to who stays you know so many players on the edge of their contracts expiring as well
01:13um how do they sort of navigate you know we mentioned that the priorities are keeping that
01:17core group um to try and make a big push because you know end of the day they've been really
01:23struggling down the bottom of the premier league for for too long now for everton standards um and
01:27moise has come in and you know he signed the contract and he's made sure it's a good length
01:32contract as well to really push everton forward you know the new stadium um so much is changing at
01:37the club they don't want to be settling for less this season um you know next season they want to
01:41really make a you know a strong push and and the summer's so important for them yeah it's it's
01:47going to be we've discussed a few times that was going to be an interesting summer it's going to be
01:51interesting in terms of what funds are going to be available now we know that heaven have complied
01:57with psr for the latest accounts so they don't have to worry about that but they still have to be
02:04careful they can't go out and obviously spend money um like they have done in the past so
02:09david moise is going to have to try and prioritize he's going to maybe have to come to a couple of
02:14compromises as well when it comes to his recruitment as we say 11 i think it's 13 very
02:20apart now it's a contract now um the current squad 12 or 13 but any regardless it's a lot of players
02:28isn't it too and you're going to have to try and keep some of those you're going to have to
02:35well to doubt try and keep some of those do you try and tie down just again again i think everyone
02:40would say yes you have to because you've been so important abdulay to corey i know some supporters
02:46would like evan to move on but he is part of a core group and you've got to have a squad and you've
02:54got to have players that you can rely on and that's something that every manager seems to to to to do
03:01um jack harrison has had a disappointing season one goal no assists but he is premier league proven
03:11can david moise get more out of them than sean dykes did because there is a player there from what he
03:17did at leeds um and he's had a couple of good games in nottingham forest and man city
03:24so there's decisions to make and as you say it's a balancing act if you get rid of these players who
03:30else can you bring in who else can you bring in for for the money and the wages because if you got
03:36rid of saying abdulay to corey could you get two players in who are on his current wages or do you try
03:41and offer them a longer term deal for more security but it might not be as much as lucas if him
03:50financially and you can go and stretch your budget a little bit more so there's all these different
03:55things for david moise's recruiting staff to consider i think evan will have to go and get a centre
04:01back because michael keane's out of contract you can't really see him staying on um beyond the summer
04:10even if he wants to be offered fresh terms i think he would want to go out and play and
04:15i think it suits all parties to be honest i haven't got jake o'brien who you would like to see
04:21play in the centre back now for the rest of the season because that is his position he's been
04:25he's been superb as a makeshift right back um it's a chance for for moise now for to have a look at
04:33another player and he might be a little bit wise about what he wants to do in the summer but
04:38come back to the original point yeah a sense of i can see him go and get getting one in the summer
04:44you
