00:00Big numbers that like they didn't stop anybody and got his 40 and then those other guys get
00:05their numbers because the Lakers the way they were playing defense. We have Randall with 25
00:09McDaniels 16 and 11 and it's a 3-1 series for the Minnesota Timberwolves. I want to apologize
00:17to Charles Barkley. He knew what he was talking about. About? Are y'all okay? I don't know what
00:24he's talking about. Well, I don't know. You say a lot of stuff, but apparently some of it is correct.
00:31Hey, I got a compliment. Thank you. Stop being a hater, Shaq. When we come back, I know you're a hater.
00:37How about this as an ending to the Nixon Pistons? We'll discuss in a minute. Yeah,
00:43it was a foul. Of course it was. TNT NBA tip-off is brought to you by CarMax, the way car buying should
00:51be. It's kind of how it felt. But we welcome everybody who was watching that game. The TNT
01:07NBA tip-off presented by CarMax. Pistons still looking for that first playoff win at home since
01:142008. They got game four in their gym against the Knicks and there's Jalen Brunson. Jalen Brunson,
01:22man. He deserved that Mr. Clutch thing. Oh, does he ever? Call out the town. But you know who else
01:28was a finalist? Anthony Edwards, who showed you today again. But this dude. Some clutch action.
01:35Okay, here we go. What are y'all doing? Pushing and shoving and yapping. That was just a fall.
01:41Yeah. Ron Holland, the second. Not happy. Well, he thought he hit a leg with him. Cade's like,
01:49get out of here, man. Come on, man. We don't need that. We need you in the game. That's exactly
01:52right. Oh, good move. Cade in the paint as they try to come back from a 16-point first-half
02:02deficit. Can't play big today, Trevor. He did. Ooh, did he ever. I love it when he mixes
02:07it up? I get mad when he just become a big 7-2 jump shooter. Tim Hardaway Jr. was shooting
02:13that thing. Yeah, he was moving around. Shoot that thing. Big boy ball.
02:21And look at this. Jared Goff. Look at this. It was Detroit comeback and they're down 50-43 at halftime.
02:30What up? Here we go. They outscore the Knicks 28-14 in the third quarter. And look at these plays,
02:38guys. Because I got a problem with the Pistons down the stretch. Tobias mean mugging, by the way.
02:42Yeah. Jalen Rose, thank you for coming in, brother. Oh, left hand. 25-10 and 10.
02:52The only other guy with a triple-double in the playoffs for the Pistons, Isaiah Thomas.
02:55Thomas. You're absolutely right. Brunson is airing it out.
03:03Two-point game.
03:09And Brunson, it was a lower right leg, so they re-taped that right ankle. Remember?
03:15Yep. Missed 15 games with that right ankle.
03:18It didn't hurt him. But he came back in.
03:21Oh, did he ever. He came back in and scored 15 in the fourth quarter.
03:25That's unbelievable.
03:27But he can't. He's struggling big time at this point.
03:31I must have put some icey hot on that thing.
03:36Detroit led 71-64 going to the fourth quarter.
03:40And Malik Beasley starting to come alive.
03:46Dan Campbell there.
03:47He hit 13 on three out of nine threes.
03:54Man, look at Brunson.
03:55Oh, you can see the shots right there.
03:58Brunson again.
04:01Tied at 84.
04:02Great Spike Lee.
04:06Give me that.
04:07Tied.
04:08Yes.
04:09As my man says, Stuart Scott, rest in peace.
04:12Cooler than the other side of the pillow.
04:14Pillow.
04:14You are absolutely right.
04:16How about that shot?
04:17No, how about this one?
04:19How about this one?
04:19That was even more impressive.
04:24Knicks on top, 94-93.
04:26We've got to get to the bottom.
04:27Kane Cunningham.
04:28Good D.
04:28Good hustle about Devise Harris here.
04:32Ball's in the corner.
04:32That's a foul.
04:33And good body blocked by Josh Hart makes contact with Hardaway.
04:40No call.
04:41I like the way you said contact.
04:42You mean foul, don't you, Ernie?
04:44That's what I'm talking about.
04:45Made contact.
04:45I know.
04:46We call that a foul, not contact.
04:50JB Bickerstaff beside himself.
04:52He should be.
04:53Challenging.
04:53Everybody on the Detroit coaching staff beside themselves.
04:58Because the Knicks win it 94-93.
05:01They go to Detroit.
05:02Come away with two wins by a total of three points.
05:07Jalen Brunson goal game.
05:08What a call right there.
05:10With 11 assists.
05:12Carl Anthony Towns 27-9.
05:16So, you know we need some yakety-yak on this.
05:19Let's get it.
05:19So, let's start with Josh Hart.
05:24Got to make contact with him?
05:25Yeah.
05:25I mean, I made contact with him.
05:27Was it legal?
05:28I don't know.
05:29We'll let the two-minute report say that.
05:34Again, you go back and look at the film.
05:37The guy leaves his feet.
05:38There's contact on Tim Hardaway's jump shot.
05:41I don't know any other way around it.
05:43There's contact on his jump shot.
05:44The guy leaves his feet.
05:45He's at Timmy's mercy.
05:48And I repeat, there's contact on his jump shot.
05:50Why is it so hard to finish in the playoffs?
05:53I mean, again, they do let you play more physically.
05:55Well, some people get to play more physical.
05:57I'll say that.
05:58You know, there is more grabbing, holding, and all that.
06:00And again, we are fine with that, right?
06:02We like to play physical.
06:03We like that style of basketball.
06:05You know, you won't hear us whining about it.
06:07But, you know, again, there is just more contact that's allowed.
06:10Do you have a view of it?
06:12View of what?
06:12The last play.
06:16Going back to Madison Square Garden.
06:19Happy we got a win.
06:21You like that answer?
06:22Is that good?
06:26So, after the game, crew chief David Guthrie.
06:28During live play, it was judged that Josh Hart made a legal defensive play.
06:33After post-game review, we observed that Hart makes body contact that is more than marginal
06:40to Hardaway Jr.
06:41And a foul should have been.
06:43Okay, so now, Sam should go to the free throw line right now and see if he can make two out of it.
06:48Let me tell you something, man.
06:49The NBA, as much as I love it, and it's given me a great life, that's the stupidest thing ever.
06:56Like, yeah.
06:58How does that actually help the Pistons coming out later?
07:02All you're doing is throwing referees under the bus.
07:04Yeah, we know it was a foul.
07:06They missed a call.
07:07But to act like, put that thing out, we want to be transparent, like, that don't help the Pistons.
07:12But I ask you a question.
07:14All it does is make them more mad.
07:15Make them more mad.
07:16I agree, but I disagree in this regard.
07:20Let's say it wasn't illegal contact, and the NBA makes the statement,
07:26we watched the last play, and he didn't foul him.
07:30So then it would be the same thing.
07:32No, it wouldn't.
07:33No, it wouldn't.
07:34There was no call made, and they said the call shouldn't have been made.
07:38But they're still looking at it, and it wasn't a call made there.
07:41But hold on.
07:42No, but they said the call should have been made.
07:44Right, but my point being, they're going to look at the last play, and whatever the outcome
07:49is, is deciding the fact that you feel like it's not.
07:52Right.
07:53But you still want to know.
07:54No, you don't want to know.
07:56Not, not, not, because there's nothing you can do about it now.
08:00He said we should be going to the line with a chance to win the game.
08:03You should have been shooting three free throws down one.
08:05Kenny, based on the letter of the law, marginal contact, the foul should have been called.
08:10But Chuck makes a good point.
08:11He missed the call.
08:12Why you missed the call?
08:13You're standing right next to him.
08:15You're this close.
08:16You shouldn't have missed that call.
08:17Some of the people missed dumps that call.
08:18No, no, no, no, no.
08:19You're right here.
08:20You're right next to him.
08:21There's human error, and I would like to know if the NBA, you know what I think, for me,
08:29as a fan now, and not just the play, no, I'm saying if, if I hear that, then I, you, you,
08:36you eliminate the, oh, well, they're, they're fixing in the game.
08:40Well, bro, see, that doesn't help your argument.
08:43You went from bad to worse.
08:44No, I would say, no, no, if you're saying they're not fixed, that would make you think
08:49the game was more fixed.
08:50But if he had said it, if it wasn't a foul, then it would have been the exact same thing.
08:54No, it was a foul.
08:55They have to address.
08:56There's more than one.
08:56You're looking at the result.
09:00I'm looking at the addressing of it.
09:02Just address it.
09:02They, they, they, whatever the result comes out by you, I'm okay with it.
09:06That don't help anybody.
09:07I want to make one point, though, about that.
09:09It becomes transparent.
09:10I was so mad at the Detroit Pistons watching that game.
09:13They should have won that game.
09:14It didn't, it came down that one play and they got screwed.
09:18But when they were moving the ball, getting up and down the court, that's when they made
09:21their run.
09:22You go back and look at their last 15 possessions.
09:26They were playing not to lose.
09:28They were running the shot clock down every single time.
09:31I'm sitting there screaming at the TV, run your offense, run your offense.
09:35And they were just milking it.
09:37I was like, come on, man.
09:38You got the lead moving and grooving.
09:41And then the last 10 to 15 possessions, they went one-on-one with less than five seconds
09:47to go.
09:48It was driving me nuts.
09:49And they can look back also at a, another game, second game this series where they turned
09:54the ball over 19 times.
09:55So yeah, everybody focuses on that last second and what happened there.
10:01And it should have been a foul call because the, and that's what the league says.
10:04But in the course of that game, you can turn the ball over 19 times.
10:09That is a bad recipe if you are the Detroit Pistons as the Knicks win at 94 to 93.
10:17What's up with that Golden Girls?
10:19Come on, Rashid.
10:20He's had it out there for like three months.
10:23I just started watching the Golden Girls again, and it's one of the best shows ever.
10:28I do.
10:29I told you.
10:30I think them girls were hilarious.
10:32Them women were amazing.
10:33Go check out some reruns, brother.
10:37Encouraging watching reruns.
10:40All right.
10:42Jason Tatum in the Celtics.
10:44Paulo Banqueiro in the Orlando Magic.
10:47Back to wrap things up in just a sec.
10:54Thank you for being a friend.
10:58We welcome you back.

11:19What?
11:19Can you imagine if you bet on the Pistons today?
11:22You are pissed.
11:24You think?
11:26Oh, Chuck.
11:27Banqueiro going for 25 and eight.
11:30Yep.
11:31Jason Tatum going for 25, and Jalen Brown, who was, was he, I think I looked at the injury report.
11:37He was questionable with the right knee, but he is in the starting lineup, and he's going to get 20.
11:44This is a big game for the Celtics, says the Chucks.
11:47I say the only thing you've got to be careful of is Ben Carroll.
11:51What?
11:51Eight rebounds.
11:52Eight.
11:52Dude, you can't get eight rebounds when you're 610.
11:55Stop it.
11:56But sometimes if you're trying to get.
11:57You're shooting jumpers.
11:58You're shooting.
11:58Yeah.
11:59That's a defensive end.
12:00You can get the defensive rebounds.
12:01Yeah, but he's not.
12:02He doesn't play under the basket like you do.
12:04You're on the way.
12:05Dude, he ain't got but one.
12:06You used to get five of your rebounds on missed free throws.
12:08Let me tell you something.
12:09That was Mike Jemiski coming all the way across the lane, taking my down.
12:13I got 10.
12:14You ain't really getting 10 at five.
12:15Mike Jemiski, one of my favorite people in the world, used to do that, and I wanted to punch him in the head
12:20sometime.
12:20I'm like, yo, man, these are the only easy rebounds you'll get.
12:24Don't come over here and take mine.
12:25It wasn't easy.
12:26He was taking over here.
12:27Celtics coming off a game in which they took the fewest threes they have all year.
12:3327 attempts.
12:35Orlando running them off the line.
12:37Also a season high 21 turnover.
12:39So Orlando trying to duplicate that script tonight.
12:43Tied the series up at two games apiece.
12:46It's game four.
12:48It's the Celtics and the magic.
12:52Brian Anderson, Stan Van Gundy, Lauren Jabara.
12:56They've got it covered next.
13:03Boston has a 2-1 lead, but it has come at a price.
13:09Flagrant fouls knocked Jason Tate out of game two.
13:12Opened up a five-stitch gash on Porzingis.
13:15And a dislocated finger for Jalen Brown.
13:19Do the defending champs punch back in the Magic's Kingdom tonight?
13:23This is game four and you are watching the first round presented by NerdWallet.
13:33Tonight from the Kia Center in Orlando, the home of the Magic, the seven seed,
13:38the Magic hosting the two seed and the defending champion Boston Celtics.
13:44These two residing in the East.
13:46The winner of this series will match up either against the Knicks or the Pistons.
13:51The Knicks winning earlier today to take a stronghold in that best of seven series.
13:57And with that, we welcome you.
13:58Hi, everybody.
13:59The NBA on TNT playoff style.
14:02I'm Brian Anderson along with the coach Stan Van Gundy.
14:04We'll hear from Lauren Jabara here in just a moment.
14:07This is a big matchup.
14:09The Orlando Magic finally got their win, their first win in this series on Friday night.
14:15But the headlines right now is the Celtics' health situation.
14:19And for more on that, we hear from Lauren Jabara.
14:21Thanks so much, B.A. Appreciate it.
14:22Yes, the Celtics a little banged up heading into game four.
14:25Drew Holiday officially ruled out for the second consecutive game with a hamstring injury.
14:30Meanwhile, Jason Tatum battling a severe bone bruise in his right wrist.
14:34After missing game two, he said it's all about dealing with pain tolerance.
14:38Christoph Porzingis needed five stitches after taking a hit to the head in game two.
14:43And Jalen Brown, who's been managing right knee posterior impingement since February,
14:48also dislocated his index finger in game three.
14:51Brown shrugged it off saying, I've got nine more, so I'm all right.
14:54But guys, I talked to him before the game.
14:56He told me it's mind over matter.
14:58Their depth and their grit is going to be tested again tonight.
15:02Lauren, thank you.
15:04And coach, that means a bit of a lineup change once again,
15:07as we take a look at the starting lineups presented by Kia.
15:10So Derek White stays in that starting lineup with Drew Holiday out.
15:16Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic, they're feeling good about themselves right now.
15:20What a defensive effort they had in game three.
15:22Right, and they've got both a great game plan and the personnel to execute it.
15:28Look, what they have done is try to take away three-point attempts from the Boston Celtics.
15:36They're shooting 15 fewer threes a game in this series than they did during the season.
15:42How do they do it?
15:43They switch every screen.
15:45They play everybody one-on-one.
15:46They don't help off shooters.
15:49A massive team with height and athleticism and the two stars in Paolo Vankero and Franz Wagner.
15:57We're ready to go here.
15:58Mark Davis, Tyler Ford, Andy Nagy.
16:01Andy Nagy officiating his first ever NBA playoff game.
16:05They put it in the air.
16:06It is the Magic who controls the opening tip.
16:08And off we go in game four in Orlando.
16:13Franz Wagner, Ian VanCaro stacking up huge numbers all postseason long.
16:22That includes the play-in game on this floor beating Atlanta to capture that seventh seed.
16:28And it is Wagner who opens up the scoring tonight, coach.
16:31That little mid-range jumper, the Celtics switching everything.
16:34He got Porzingis on him and Porzingis played him with a big cushion.
16:40Derek White had that big game one, scored 30 in that one.
16:43Holiday has been shelved in back-to-back games.
16:46And it is Wright who gets the first Boston basket.
16:49A nice pass from Jason Tatum there.
16:52Celtics won game one and they rolled in Boston 103-86.
16:59Game two is a little closer.
17:00Boston winning by nine at TD Garden.
17:03And then game three was the Magic's first home game.
17:07And their first win of the series is Corey Joseph inserted into that point guard role in early March.
17:14He has been a settling force for this Magic team at the point guard position.
17:21Trying to check White here.
17:24And now Brown with that dislocated finger and that bone bruise on the knee is long reported.
17:31They say that ball was tipped.
17:33Here's Porzingis now.
17:34Late clock three-pointer misses.
17:36He's now 0 for 11 from three-point range in this series.
17:39Orford battling for it.
17:40It is Joseph who comes away with a rebound.
17:43Well, and it's the one area where the Magic have had a little trouble defensively is on the boards.
17:47Because they're switching everything and that gives them some size matchups on the glass.
17:52Bancaro drives and is fouled.
17:55And free throws for Paolo Bancaro.
17:58He's already shot 25 free throws in this series through three games.
18:02So he'll be shooting 26 and 27.
18:05He and Wagner both big, strong guys who can put the ball on the floor and relish contact.
18:1236, 32, and 29 points for Bancaro in each of the first three games.
18:20And coach, this tandem, the Wagner-Bancaro tandem, averaging over 50 points per game.
18:26Bancaro at 26, Wagner at 24.
18:30First Orlando teammates since Penny and Shaq this year to go 20-plus in two different spots.
18:37And they're the highest scoring duo in the playoffs.
18:42Coming into today.
18:43One out of two for Bancaro.
18:47Jayla Brown backing down of Caldwell Pokes.
18:49That's up Horford for three.
18:51And there's Wendell Carter with the rebound.
18:55And that was a rare open look for Boston there because Bancaro came getting ready to help on the post and left Horford open.
19:05Going to be a loose ball foul on Porzingis.
19:08He's going to stay on this end of the floor.
19:11Well, Wendell Carter Jr.
19:13Has been relentlessly pursuing on the offensive glass.
19:18And that's what creates it here.
19:19He's there in an excellent call.
19:21Just getting held there by Porzingis.
19:24Carter just turned 26.
19:27At his first playoff double-double on Friday.
19:30He has averaged a double-double against Boston this year.
19:34It's a turnover.
19:36Tatum on the run.
19:36Wagner and Bancaro get back.
19:38Three-pointer in transition.
19:39No good.
19:40White with an offensive rebound.
19:43White probing.
19:45And a hot pass that Porzingis runs down late clock.
19:48Orlando did a nice job getting back.
19:51And they forced Boston into a late clock situation here as Brown missed it.
19:57And there's Carter with a board.
20:00Rebound shooting has not been there.
20:04So Boston's liking in this series, especially in the last two games.
20:08And that really was the discrepancy.
20:10Not just the poor three-point shooting.
20:13The volume of threes.
20:15The turnovers for game three.
20:17And the shots on goal for Boston in game three.
20:22Porzingis no good.
20:23That's been a big part of the problem for Boston offensively.
20:26Is the magic switch everything.
20:29Porzingis was the best big guy in the league last year against switches.
20:34And he's really struggled in this series.
20:37Only nine for 23 now.
20:39Under 40% from two-point range.
20:42You already said he's 0 for 11 from three.
20:45But that's against.
20:48That Porzingis had Caldwell Pope in the post.
20:52The magic are not going to double.
20:54Got a foul on Wagner.
20:58Thought he had a clean swipe of it.
21:02And see how it's going to be called on the perimeter.
21:0421 Boston turnovers in game three.
21:07That is very rare for the Celtics to turn it over at that volume.
21:12Here's Brown inside.
21:13Gets a friendly bounce.
21:16Only twice this year did Boston turn it over more than 20 times.
21:21Game three against the magic.
21:23And way back in November against Atlanta.
21:25Joe Mazzula feels like the turnovers alone.
21:29Nice setup by Wagner to Carter.
21:32Well, the magic rely on their stars.
21:35Being Carroll and Wagner not only to score.
21:38They're the guys who have to create all the shots.
21:41Nice rim run by Porzingis.
21:42White set him up.
21:44Porzingis gets a dunk.
21:47Boston two for nine from two-point range.
21:50Have not hit yet from three-point range.
21:52They're 0 for 6.
21:55Jalen Brown guarded by Ben Carroll.
21:56Gets inside Ben Carroll to block.
21:59The magic meeting the Celtics with all that size.
22:03Inside and Ben Carroll scores it with a foul.
22:08Oh, he is a beast.
22:09He really is.
22:12And when he gets the ball out in the open floor like that and has room.
22:16But he started that break, as you said, with the block again.
22:21Jamal Mosley relying on his guys to be able to defend the ball one-on-one.
22:29Because if they come off to help you open up that very dangerous Celtic three-point game.
22:3529 in game three.
22:37He was seven of eight from the line.
22:39He goes back to the line and finishes off a three-point trip down the floor.
22:46Orlando presents some challenges to Boston that almost no other team can present.
22:54It's Porzingis another rim run set up again by Derek White.
22:57They're two for two with that one.
22:59Yeah, and then they're going to keep going back to it.
23:01And one of the adjustments that Joe Mazula wanted Porzingis to make, he told us before the game,
23:07was to roll to the rim, roll deeper, rather than either popping or sealing at the free-throw line
23:14to catch the ball and isolate.
23:16It's been successful twice.
23:18Al Horford blocks Wagner on a corner three attempt.
23:23Horford is active here early.
23:26What a tremendous season he's having.
23:30Horford at 38 years of age, coach.
23:33He just continues to impress.
23:35And a valuable member of this Celtics team.
23:37Does so many little things for him.
23:39Yeah, and look, 38 years old.
23:41He's in the starting lineup tonight.
23:43And who do they match him up with?
23:45He's guarding Franz Wagner.
23:47It's not like they're trying to hide the old veteran.
23:51He's guarding the stars.
23:53Average nine points a game this year.
23:55Just under 30 minutes.
23:57Shot it well from three.
23:5836 percent rises his level in the playoffs.
24:04Huge factor in their championship run a year ago.
24:07Big Al.
24:08Back in Florida where he was a Florida Gator.
24:12Late clock here.
24:12Down to two.
24:13Wagner for three.
24:16Wagner has not been great from three-point range,
24:18but he's starting to find it here in the last couple of games.
24:23Shotted below 30 percent from three-point range this season.
24:27Deflection and a steal.
24:28And he's six for 27 now in the series.
24:3222 percent.
24:34In a couple in game three.
24:35He's got his first here.
24:36Vancaro can't get that one to go.
24:42And now Brown driving.
24:43Wagner hits the deck and Brown falls over him.
24:47It's going to be Wagner's second.
24:49That'll take us to a timeout.
24:52Franz Wagner two fouls with a big three.
24:55Yeah, you don't see too many step-back threes out of Franz Wagner,
24:58but that's a huge one.
24:59The Magic lead it by five.
25:03Yes, sir, Kenneth.
25:04Don't forget to download the FanDuel Sports app.
25:08You know why?
25:09It's your home for live same-game parlays all throughout the playoffs.
25:14Okay.
25:14So, who scores more points tonight?
25:16Tatum or Brown or Paulo and Franz Wagner?
25:21I'm going to take Tatum and Brown.
25:24Who's the kid screaming in the background?
25:29All right.
25:29Thank you, fellas.
25:31And it'll be Brown at the free-throw line.
25:34That's not a bad duo to choose.
25:36You see Brown's numbers, 36 in game two.
25:39Came back with 19.
25:41Remember, had that dislocated finger on his right hand
25:45as he knocks down the first one.
25:47A reminder, you can shop NBAStore.com for the best selection of NBA playoff gear.
25:52Choose from jerseys, tees, hats, and more.
25:55NBAStore.com, a fanatics experience.
25:58Now, with Wagner out, Al Horford actually
26:04is going to take a look at the first quarter rotation.
26:08As Brown knocks down the two free throws, trying to get a shooter on the floor.
26:12Doesn't have many to choose from.
26:14Caleb Houston, the only true sticker on this team.
26:20Wagner with those two early fouls in the first five-plus minutes.
26:24Now, with Wagner out, Al Horford actually started on Banchero that possession.
26:30How about Joseph?
26:32A little runner in the lane is good from the point guard.
26:35Brown pulls up for three.
26:36Boston is 0 for 7 from three-point range.
26:40So, they're getting volume, but they're not getting...
26:42They're getting volume, but they're all, you know,
26:44you're seeing them like that off the dribble pull-ups.
26:46They're not getting their driving kick in as Banchero knocks one down.
26:52He's only 32% on the year, but here in this series, he's now at 50% from three.
26:59Let's keep an eye on the score with Wagner on the bench.
27:04See how they hold up.
27:05Nice feed, Horford to Porzingis.
27:08That has been the most success Boston has enjoyed with Porzingis going to the basket
27:13and a myriad of ways.
27:15Banchero cannot hit.
27:16Brown is there with a rebound.
27:19White wants to push.
27:21Here's Tatum now.
27:22Started by Banchero.
27:24Duke on Duke.
27:25A little crossover.
27:26Tatum gets some space.
27:27Missed it.
27:28Got his own.
27:29And puts that one in with a foul.
27:31Jason Tatum sticking with it.
27:34And a chance at a three-point play.
27:36And nobody from the Magic came back to the boards there.
27:41Banchero making it tough.
27:42You see everybody just standing and watching.
27:45Tatum gets his own and gets back to the line.
27:49Joseph got him on the arm.
27:52And Tatum a chance at a three-point trip down the floor.
27:5736 points.
27:59He was upgraded from questionable that he played in the game.
28:03And then he was a star in game three.
28:05But he missed game two.
28:06Coach that right wrist.
28:08He got slapped in game one.
28:11And it affected him greatly.
28:12So much so he couldn't answer the bell in game two.
28:16And this just amazes me with Al Horford.
28:18Starts on Wagner.
28:20Now at 38 years old, he's going to guard Banchero.
28:24Black saves a turnover.
28:26First minutes on the floor for Anthony Black.
28:28He's been a real difference maker for them, particularly on the defensive end.
28:32Banchero rises up over Pritchard.
28:35And the ball is loose.
28:36Brown able to secure the rebound.
28:39Black's a handful at 6-7 as well.
28:42Tatum pulls a three.
28:43That's the first make of the game from beyond the arc for the Celtics.
28:518-0 Boston run.
28:52They have tied it at 18.
28:55And the first three-pointer for the Celtics.
29:00Coming at the four and a half mark.
29:02And Carroll finds Black blocked.
29:03Corford again.
29:05He's blocked two in the corner.
29:06Pritchard wants to move it.
29:08Pritchard pulls it back.
29:10Houston defending.
29:11Pritchard probing.
29:15Now Sam Houser cash.
29:17His first bucket of the series.
29:20Sam Houser had not scored coming into tonight.
29:23He was 0-4 and that's not a lot of shots.
29:26Gets that look right there.
29:28Knocks it in.
29:29Coach, he had gone 36 scoreless minutes before that basket.
29:33Black, wow, what a take to the basket.
29:36Anthony Black, strong, able to lay it in.
29:39He's going to be an outstanding player.
29:41Like so many guys on the Magico, you qualify it with
29:44if he becomes a better shooter.
29:46There's only 21 at the one year in Arkansas.
29:51Tatum misses the three-pointer.
29:52Black with the rebound.
29:55Black leaves it for Bancaro.
29:56The headband brigade.
29:58Here goes Anthony Black.
30:00Nobody bites.
30:02And Houser a deflection.
30:04Gary Harris secures it.
30:07Bancaro wide open three-pointer.
30:09No good.
30:10And there's Tatum.
30:13Jamal Mosley getting his bench.
30:15In play here in this first quarter.
30:18Jonathan Isaacs soon to check in as well.
30:21Orlando's bench was excellent in game three.
30:25Houston guarding Horford.
30:27Horford bullies his way inside, drops it in.
30:31They've got to score one-on-one against the Magic.
30:33Because they're not coming.
30:35Even with a size advantage, they're going to play one-on-one
30:38and make you make tough twos over the top of them.
30:42Bancaro drives, picks up the foul, and again going to the free-throw line.
30:47Three throws when we come back.
30:51Al Horford at 38 years young, still getting after it.
30:56You're watching the 20-25 NBA playoffs presented by Google.
31:01All right, coach, let's check out tonight's Cinco Stat of the Night presented by Corona.
31:07Pretty good company here.
31:09Among active players, highest points per game in the first 10 career playoff games.
31:14Palo Bancaro at 28-6 is on a very impressive list.
31:18You aren't kidding.
31:19That's a great list to be on.
31:21You know, he raises his average above what he does in regular season by about six points a game.
31:28Been at the line often in this first quarter.
31:29He misses for the second time.
31:32And a chance to remind you that the NBA on TNT brought to you by the Kia Telluride X-Line.
31:38Kia, the official automotive partner of the NBA.
31:43Paolo Bancaro now three for five from the line.
31:48It's one out of two that trip.
31:50And with 2.50 remaining in the first quarter, Boston has the ball up two.
31:56They lead two games to one in this series.
31:59Celtics put together one of their all-time great road records in franchise history is Tatum.
32:06Off one foot, little fadeaway is true.
32:08Well, we said it before.
32:09Those are the plays you're going to have to make if you're Boston.
32:12Orlando is not going to double team.
32:16They're going to make you score one-on-one.
32:18They're not going to bring a second defender to you where you make the pass out and shoot the three.
32:23So you're going to have to be efficient one-on-one.
32:25Pritchard forces the turnover.
32:28Second giveaway by the Magic.
32:32Pritchard at the controls.
32:34Gary Harris defending.
32:35He was excellent on defense in game three.
32:39Houston trying to check Tatum.
32:42He's got Isaac with help and that same shot.
32:46Cornette with an offensive rebound.
32:48Houser lets it fly and Houser's got another one.
32:52From no points in this postseason to two three-pointers in his first two tries.
32:58Well, Cornette the seventh best per minute offensive rebounder in the league
33:04and that's five offensive rebounds already for the Celtics.
33:08And the game plan for Orlando.
33:10Ben Carroll head down to the basket.
33:12He's going back to the line.
33:13And this is a way you can get threes because people do come in to try to rebound the ball.
33:18Great offensive rebound.
33:20Great pass out by Cornette.
33:24Joe Mazula talked to us before the game about Sam Houser.
33:28He said no maintenance required for Houser.
33:30He knows his role.
33:31When he gets his looks we expect him to let it fly with confidence.
33:36Easier said than done coach.
33:38He was so great in the NBA Finals a year ago.
33:41He averaged over eight points a game in the finals.
33:44But had not scored and he had only one shot attempt in game three.
33:48He only had one shot attempt and Peyton Pritchard the sixth man of the year
33:52did not have a three-point attempt despite being 15th in the league this year in three-point attempts.
34:00Fourth trip to the line for Ben Carroll.
34:03One out of two once again.
34:05Ben Carroll is just four for seven from the line.
34:09He's got nine first quarter points.
34:12Richard and Tatum with Houser, Cornette and Horford.
34:15The five on the floor for the Celtics.
34:18Gary Harris checks Tatum.
34:22Tatum can't get a step on Harris.
34:23Drops his shoulder.
34:24Turn around.
34:25Baseline jumper is good.
34:27And there aren't many who can do that.
34:29Now that's a tough shot.
34:31And again, those are the shots the Magic are going to make you make.
34:35The Magic up five when Franz Wagner picked up his second foul.
34:40He's back on the floor now.
34:41And Orlando down eight.
34:44Ben Carroll for three.
34:45Got him.
34:47It's his second three of this first quarter.
34:50Under a minute to go.
34:58This series heads back to Boston for a game five at TD Garden.
35:03They go every other day from now on.
35:05Pritchard for three.
35:06Short, Cornette back-tap it into the hands of Black.
35:10Cannon is deep.
35:13Pritchard, a prolific three-point shooter off the bench.
35:17Historically good this year.
35:19Wagner missed it.
35:20Ball's loose.
35:21Wagner got it, but a body on the floor.
35:23And it's going to be a loose ball foul as Jonathan Isaac hits the deck.
35:28Foul on the Celtics.
35:30Peyton Pritchard picks up the foul, which will be his second.
35:35He's going to be his second.
35:43Magico minus 12 with Wagner on the bench there and early foul trouble.
35:47Well, the Magic Wagner obviously a key piece for them, not only as a scorer,
35:53but a creator.
35:54And he's a guy who always takes on one of the stars on the other team.
35:58Opened the game on Tatum tonight.
36:01Isaac gets the first.
36:03NBA playoff schedule continues tomorrow.
36:07The Cavs and the Heat game four right here on TNT.
36:10And then Rockets and Warriors will follow.
36:12That's a game four there.
36:14NBA.com or the NBA app.
36:17Missing Drew Holiday.
36:18Second consecutive game with a hamstring injury, as Lauren reported.
36:21And the expectation is he would have a chance to return for game five.
36:27Joe Mazzula is fully confident that he will return sooner than later.
36:33But he's missing his second consecutive.
36:37The Celtics down the stretch, they rarely played with all nine of their top guys.
36:43So they're used to having somebody out.
36:46Magic missing two pieces as well.
36:49They will not come back.
36:50Mo Wagner and Jalen Suggs as you get a foul on the floor with Porzingis driving.
36:57And those are big pieces, coach.
37:00Mo Wagner coming off the bench.
37:02Franz's brother.
37:03ACL injury.
37:04See how many games he missed.
37:06Jalen Suggs, their starting point guard, 47 games missed, had knee surgery.
37:12Yeah, he's an all-defense guy and their third leading scorer.
37:16And Mo Wagner, probably the best bench big guy in the league.
37:21He's averaging like 13 points a game.
37:25White drives it on Carter.
37:26Quick release, able to score.
37:30Shot clock is off.
37:30Last five and a half seconds in the first quarter.
37:33Boston leads by five.
37:35Black stretches out and lays it in.
37:38Sneaks one around Christoph Porzingis.
37:44They draft him big here in Orlando.
37:46And it pays off for Anthony Black to take us to the end of the first quarter.
37:52Black able to lay it in.
37:54It is a three-point Boston lead as we get ready for the second stanza.
37:59You're watching the first round presented by NerdWallet.
38:03Boats, Orlando has their swan boats.
38:06We get ready for the second quarter.
38:08A moment to go, Lauren Jabara with Joe Mazzula.
38:12Coach, you said before the game you want to take care of the ball,
38:14not turn it over and play physical.
38:16How do you feel like you responded here from game three in the first quarter?
38:19Yeah, pretty good.
38:20Ben Carroll's got four shooting fouls.
38:21We got to do a better job of that.
38:22Got to do a better job closing the quarter.
38:24Sam Hauser comes off the bench, immediately drains two threes.
38:26What kind of a judge does he give this team?
38:28Ah, just gives us spacing.
38:30Gives us a little bit more pace.
38:31Coach, appreciate it.
38:32Good luck.
38:32Thanks.
38:33Yeah, look, I mean, we've uncharacteristically high-scoring first quarter from these teams
38:41who give up the two lowest point totals in the league, and we've got 61 points in the
38:48first quarter.
38:49It won't stay like that in this game.
38:51Colt teams pushing 50% from the field, just shy of it.
38:56And a scramble for that when Isaac last touched it, that'll be Boston ball.
39:01Check personnel on the floor here.
39:02First minutes for Cole Anthony, who was electric in the play-in game on this floor against Atlanta,
39:09and that's going to be a foul.
39:11White with a shove on Cole Anthony, or I beg your pardon, on Hauser.
39:16So Sam Hauser picks up the foul.
39:18Missoula does not like that.
39:21Just the second turnover.
39:22Boston had six assists, only one turnover in that first quarter.
39:26Yeah, and after 21 turnovers in game three.
39:29So we had a very clean first quarter.
39:32Wow, Wagner up top for J.I. Jonathan Isaac.
39:38Well, and already Wagner's fourth assist in the game in eight minutes.
39:43And let's not blow over the fact that's a 6'10 guy making plays like that.
39:48He and Van Carroll are point guards in big men bodies.
39:52Nice take to the basket by White.
39:54He's fouled on the play, and Derek White, a championship pedigree going to the line.
40:01Oh, what a leave.
40:06And that's a great pass there by Porzingis.
40:11Gary Harris picks up his second foul.
40:14Porzingis with the five stitches in the forehead, came in game two.
40:18And White makes it a four-point Boston lead.
40:26Just getting started here in quarter number two.
40:31Eastern Conference first-round playoffs.
40:33Winner of this series will match up against either the Knicks or the Pistons.
40:38That Knicks a hard-fought road win today.
40:42Controversial ending to that one on a foul that was not called.
40:49Timeout Boston just as it was a potential turnover in front of them.
40:54The Celtics get a timeout.
40:5710.35 remaining in quarter number two.
41:00You don't miss a playoff moment with the NBA app.
41:04Download the app today for the latest scores, highlights, behind-the-scenes access to all the drama.
41:10Interstate 4 brings you right to the Kia Center.
41:14Orlando, the city beautiful.
41:17Take I-4 right out to Stan's house after the game today.
41:21That's right.
41:21Stan hosted a big crew party last night.
41:23Appreciate that, coach.
41:25Footed the bill and all.
41:26That was a great time hanging out in Orlando with Stan Van Gundy.
41:30Oh, I was just planning to bill you all later.
41:33Invoices coming.
41:34Separate checks.
41:36Porzingis gets a cross match with Anthony.
41:38Goes right to work.
41:39That's to your point.
41:40Got it deep.
41:41Anthony had no choice.
41:43He puts Porzingis back on the line.
41:45Well, that's a good adjustment by Joe Mazzoula and his staff.
41:50In game three, Porzingis was taking those switches
41:54and rolling right to the free throw line.
41:57Catching the ball there and trying to operate from there.
42:01Now he's rolling deep.
42:02We've seen him catch the ball on the roll and score and now just goes to work.
42:06A couple of those mid-range jumpers that he missed in game three with
42:10players like Anthony and Corey Joseph on him.
42:14He's a foot taller than these players.
42:16And that's more like what Joe Mazzoula was hoping for tonight from Porzingis.
42:23Been a factor.
42:24He's got eight points.
42:26Late nine minutes.
42:30Such a difference maker in what the Celtics can do when Porzingis is on his game.
42:35Wagner kicks one to the corner.
42:36That's Black for three.
42:37It's an air ball.
42:38And Hauser able to secure it to Pritchard.
42:40Well, that's where Black's got to get better is as a shooter.
42:44He's a very poor shooting team overall, the Magic.
42:51And now Porzingis missed it point blank against Black and a foul.
42:59And they're going to get Cole Anthony on the foul.
43:03Black was in there grappling as well.
43:05Cole Anthony just picks up two fouls on Porzingis last two trips down the floor.
43:12Third team foul already for the Magic.
43:14Obvious foul there.
43:19Jamal Mosley is going to go back to his bench.
43:23So a small window here for Anthony.
43:26It's not necessarily the foul trouble.
43:28More of the matchup issues.
43:31And Ben Caro is back on the floor.
43:33Maybe a little earlier than he thought he'd be.
43:38Wagner guards Brown.
43:39Brown so shifty.
43:42Here goes Porzingis now.
43:44Isaac on it.
43:44Porzingis pulls up.
43:47Missed it.
43:47And Isaac secures a rebound.
43:49Well, Isaac is as good a defender as there is in this league.
43:52If you played enough minutes, this would be an all-defensive guy.
43:56And possibly, if you were a full-time guy, a defensive player of the year.
44:00Ben Caro finds Isaac.
44:03He'll pull it.
44:03Not afraid.
44:05Missed it.
44:05Missed it badly, too.
44:07Just 26% from three this year.
44:09You're starting to get the theme with the Magic.
44:12If you're just picking them up for the first time or you don't watch them often, coach.
44:16Last place in three-point percentage this year, three-point attempts, fewest assists,
44:23and one of the slowest-paced teams offensively in the league.
44:26Well, these are the two slowest-paced teams in the league.
44:30And unsurprisingly, this has been the slowest-paced series in the league.
44:34But not tonight.
44:35We've seen them get up and down a little bit.
44:37It's about 88 possessions per.
44:44Boston leads it by four.
44:48Boston, despite their slow pace, the number two rated offense in the NBA this year.
44:54Porzingis, another rim run.
44:56That play is working time and time again.
44:59Just keep rolling to the rim.
45:01Porzingis, a guy who likes to pop, likes to seal at the free-throw line.
45:06But when he rolls, he is very dangerous.
45:09And even versus the switch, he's just putting the defender on his back.
45:14White fouls Ben Caro.
45:18Here it is.
45:19You see the switch, but he just leaves Wagner behind.
45:24And the Magic don't want to pull in and help and open up threes.
45:29So Porzingis able to get all the way to the rim.
45:31And he's in double figures already.
45:33You know, we talked to Joe Missoula before the game.
45:36Asked him if Boston is comfortable not putting up volume threes.
45:41And he had a pretty quick response.
45:42He goes, we take volume threes because we have great three-point shooters.
45:47And we move the ball.
45:48Orlando presents a different kind of challenge for them.
45:52They'll take what the Magic give them.
45:54But it definitely threw them off their game in game three.
45:57Yeah, look, the Magic have defended them well for the last couple of years.
46:00And they do take Boston out of their comfort zone.
46:04Porzingis for three.
46:05That one's good.
46:06That's his first made three of the series.
46:10Had started 0 for 11 stitches at all.
46:14Porzingis stacking up a big first half.
46:17He's got 13 as he knocks down his first three.
46:21Sometimes it's the simplest adjustments that make the biggest impact.
46:29Chris stops Porzingis.
46:31Not picking and popping.
46:32Not picking and stopping.
46:34He is rolling to the rim.
46:36And he has been effective.
46:3813 points.
46:39Eight of them on those rolls.
46:41And the Celtics are up nine.
46:43Boy, in the words of the great Kevin Durant,
46:46Stan's spitting right there.
46:47Well done.
46:48He's dropping some bars, Stan.
46:49I think I was literally doing that though.
46:53Corey Joseph back on the floor running the point for the Magic.
46:57Magic down nine.
47:0061 points combined in the first quarter.
47:02A little more back to normal for these two teams.
47:05And Ben Carroll gets a soft bounce.
47:08And Ben Carroll puts two more on the board.
47:11He's got 14 now.
47:13It's only four of 11 from the field.
47:15But he's been at the line quite a bit.
47:17Pritchard again finds Houser.
47:21Houser no good.
47:22His first miss.
47:23After knocking down the first two threes.
47:28Ben Carroll a handful.
47:30Step back three.
47:31Ben Carroll missed it.
47:32Gets his zone.
47:34Puts it up.
47:34Got it.
47:35Ben Carroll back to back possessions.
47:42And now a turnover.
47:43Caldwell Pope.
47:47This is how things started to go the other way for Boston in game three.
47:52Turnovers against full court pressure.
47:54Ben Carroll again on Houser.
47:57Turns away from Pritchard.
47:58Missed it.
47:59White with a rebound.
48:01Magic had just one offensive rebound tonight.
48:04Just a moment ago with Ben Carroll.
48:05That's been it.
48:06Celtics doing a good job on the defensive glass.
48:08And now Brown.
48:10Straight line drive.
48:11Able to put it in.
48:18Wagner.
48:19Baseline cut.
48:20Porzingis fouls him hard.
48:23Wrapped him up.
48:24Made sure he didn't fall down.
48:28And free throws.
48:30For Franz Wagner.
48:31That's a great backdoor cut and pass.
48:38And that's an excellent job.
48:40By Porzingis.
48:42When you're going to foul.
48:43Don't let him get the arms up.
48:44Don't give up a three-point play.
48:46Excellent job.
48:48Short on the free throw.
48:51Well the Magic.
48:53They have struggled from the line here tonight.
48:56Middle of the pack.
48:58During the regular season.
49:00But so much of the regular season.
49:02Was without Ben Carroll and Wagner.
49:06This team entered.
49:07As a seventh seed.
49:08Had to go in the play and stand at 41 and 41.
49:11They won that game against Atlanta.
49:13So they entered into the playoffs as a seventh seed.
49:15They're a much better team.
49:17When they're whole.
49:19Than what their record shows.
49:20Yeah.
49:20And they really haven't been whole all year.
49:22With Mo Wagner out.
49:23With Suggs out.
49:25Their five starters.
49:27Missed.
49:27A hundred and twenty four games.
49:29Combined.
49:30And then Mo Wagner.
49:32Their best big off the bench.
49:33Missed 52 games.
49:35So you've got it right there.
49:37Out of your rotation.
49:38A hundred and seventy six games missed.
49:41I think for them to be 41 and 41.
49:43And be playing here in the playoffs.
49:45Is a tremendous accomplishment.
49:47Let's check in with Lauren Jabara.
49:49Guys.
49:49I actually talked to Colin Bencaro about this a couple weeks ago.
49:51He said he had so much he wanted to accomplish this year.
49:54Both as a team and individually.
49:56And the injuries took some of that away.
49:58He said but this is our chance now to show the world what we've been working on since all of our injured guys have been back.
50:05And right now they are a fully healthy 100 percent team which is really good heading into the playoffs.
50:10That's right.
50:11That's right.
50:11That's right.
50:12That's right.
50:12That's right.
50:13That's right.
50:13Jamal Mosley was second in the coach of the year voting.
50:17Lost in seven games to the Cavs.
50:20Porzingis just picked up his third foul.
50:25And now Orlando.
50:29They're going to challenge the Celtics are going to challenge the illegal screen call on Porzingis.
50:35Joe Mazzola going to light the lamp.
50:38Celtics lead it by six.
50:42Well Kristaps Porzingis was adamant that his screen wasn't illegal.
50:47That Corey Joseph was grabbing his arm.
50:50And from what we're seeing here on the replay I think Kristaps Porzingis is right.
50:56Upon review it has been determined that Porzingis illegally contacted Joseph holding his arm.
51:02Preventing him from defending the layup attempt.
51:04Therefore this is an unsuccessful challenge.
51:07Possibly charged with the timeout and they have no additional challenges.
51:11Wow I'm surprised by that one.
51:13Mark Davis the crew chief of that announcement.
51:14No more challenges for the Celtics.
51:17You could see Porzingis' fingers grabbing onto the elbow.
51:21But I think the Celtics argument there is.
51:24Joseph is the one who put the clamp down on Porzingis' arm.
51:27That's the way I saw it.
51:29That's the way I saw it.
51:30But you know what's amazing?
51:32It doesn't matter how I saw it.
51:34And that's.
51:36And they didn't ask your opinion again.
51:37No again.
51:38I mean you know I'm here to help but nobody wants to.
51:42Well at least the referees don't want to listen to me.
51:44That's going to be a foul on Bancaro runs over White.
51:49And the Magic give it right back.
51:57Celtics lead it by six with the ball.
51:59546 remaining in this first half.
52:02Boston 33 and 8 on the road this year.
52:05Had a franchise record for success on the road.
52:09Winning percentage.
52:10Two of those eight losses came in Orlando however.
52:14And they are 0-3 in Orlando this year.
52:16After their game three loss.
52:19Tatum against Bancaro.
52:22Tatum a little hesitation.
52:23Step back one foot.
52:25And got another one.
52:26He's hit three there.
52:27Those are tough shots.
52:30I mean I like the Magic's defensive game plan now.
52:34I'd rather have him making those and driving and kicking.
52:37Where guys are just stepping into three-pointers.
52:41Starters on the floor for Orlando.
52:44And Bancaro with White on him.
52:46White's a menace.
52:48Wagner's going to pull it from long range.
52:50Way out of his comfort zone.
52:52And now Boston a chance to go up double figures here.
52:55That's the road record this year.
52:58Including the playoffs.
52:59Three of those nine losses coming here.
53:02Turnover Boston.
53:03Caldwell poked for three.
53:05Got it.
53:06Up and over Cordette.
53:08Put a little extra arc on that one.
53:11They would love for him to get it gone.
53:14Came into the night shoot.
53:1518 percent.
53:1717 percent from three.
53:19Magic ball.
53:20Caldwell poked did not score Friday night in game three.
53:27Missed both of his three-point tries.
53:30Wagner inside.
53:32Flexes.
53:33And just like that it's a three-point game.
53:37It's a very resilient basketball team.
53:40And it starts with them getting stops.
53:44And that's what they put their belief in.
53:46But it's the roles that have hurt them tonight.
53:48Horford for three.
53:49No good.
53:51Caldwell poked with the rebound.
53:55Caldwell poked.
53:56Able to elude Brown.
53:58Now Joseph.
54:00Joseph hits a three.
54:01And we're tied.
54:02Orlando's on a 13-4 run.
54:15Tatum long three.
54:17No good.
54:18Horford.
54:20Ball's loose.
54:22Magic ball.
54:26The Magic defense is stepping up.
54:29And then they're converting at the other end.
54:32Boston a little bit scrambled.
54:34Caldwell poked finds Corey Joseph.
54:36And now Joseph finds Bancaro.
54:39What a finish with the left hand.
54:41Paolo Bancaro set up beautifully by Joseph.
54:46Magic in front.
54:48Barrow's got 18 points already.
54:50Defense!
54:51Defense!
54:53Defense!
54:54Defense!
54:55Defense!
54:57Defense!
54:58Defense!
54:59Defense!
54:59Defense!
55:00Defense!
55:01Tatum splits it.
55:02No.
55:03Joseph got a hand on it.
55:04Another turnover.
55:05KCP behind the back.
55:07Carter!
55:08No!
55:09Carter comes down with an offensive rebound.
55:11Tatum with a steal.
55:13What a mess this is.
55:14And now Horford gets it to Tatum.
55:17He leaves it.
55:18Brown lays it in.
55:20Big turnaround there.
55:21Bad pass on the break by Caldwell Pope.
55:24I mean they're basically four on one.
55:26All he had to do was make a simple play.
55:28What Jamal Mosley tell us before the game.
55:31We got to do the simple things well.
55:34We can't go for the show stopping plays.
55:37We can't go for the game.
55:39Especially against a team like the Celtics with that championship pedigree.
55:43Wagner shakes Horford.
55:44Three-quarters short.
55:45Tatum with a board.
55:47All tied.
55:50Approaching the two-minute mark.
55:52Horford in deep.
55:53Drops the shoulder.
55:55And drops one in on Wagner.
55:57Now Al Horford to me is just so great to watch.
56:01All the things he does.
56:02The way he defends.
56:04This guy's just a winner and has been for a long time.
56:10Under two minutes to go in this first half.
56:14Dan Carroll dancing with Cornette.
56:16Rises up.
56:17Missed it.
56:17Jalen Brown.
56:22Van Carroll picks him up.
56:24Check the matchups here.
56:28Brown looking for a partner here.
56:30And now White finally sets a screen for him.
56:33Joseph trying to guard Brown.
56:34Brown goes to the basket.
56:36Missed it.
56:39Brown struggled tonight.
56:40They made him take tough shots.
56:44In his defense.
56:45He's got a knee injury.
56:47He's got a dislocated finger.
56:48That was put back in place.
56:51He's trying to DF Joseph.
56:52It turns a corner.
56:53Now Carter set up for a mid-range jumper.
56:55Well short.
56:59Boston by two.
57:00A minute remaining in the first half.
57:03Well we said it right Boston 32 point first quarter.
57:09They've got 18 here in the second.
57:11Tatum and Brown work together and Joseph locks him up.
57:16Fouls Tatum.
57:17First foul in the last two minutes.
57:22That'll be side out for Boston with 52 and a half left.
57:27And a reminder that the NBA on TNT is brought to you by Scott's.
57:31Feed your lawn.
57:32One.
57:32Feed it.
57:43Tatum.
57:44Guarded by Joseph.
57:46Cornette with the screen.
57:47I don't think that was a pass but it ended up in Pritchard's hands.
57:51He misses.
57:52Tatum gets it back.
57:54Wendell Carter met him at the apex.
57:58Duke on Duke.
58:00Carter wins it.
58:01Vancaro.
58:03And that is off his leg.
58:06Boston ball 28.8.
58:08Vancaro wants a potential challenge here.
58:12They don't do it.
58:13Wow.
58:13Carter up tall for that block.
58:16That was a heck of a block.
58:17Wendell Carter Jr. has been great late in the season.
58:22American Express Halftime Report coming your way next from our Atlanta studios.
58:27A lot to talk about in this one.
58:30Clock down to 10.
58:31Shot clock at three now.
58:33Tatum dancing with Carter.
58:34Tatum.
58:34Oh, sweet revenge.
58:37Coming off the block by Carter.
58:39Tatum drills a three.
58:41Wagner all the way.
58:42Nothing there.
58:44And that'll take us to the end of the half.
58:46A flurry at the end of the half.
58:49And the defending champs 53-48 leading by five.
58:55Boston closes the quarter on a 7-0 run.
59:00And Tatum goes for 15 in the first half.
59:05The 7-2 matchup in the East.
59:07The Celtics and the Magic.
59:09We got a good one going here today.
59:11You're watching the first round presented by NerdWallet.
59:18They had a 10-point lead.
59:20And at the half in game three, Bryan Anderson with Stan Van Gundy.
59:24And coached that first half.
59:2660-point first half combined, first quarter combined.
59:29Then it started settling to what we're used to seeing from these teams.
59:32These two teams, slowest-paced teams in the league.
59:35The teams who hold their opponents to the least.
59:37Both great defensive teams.
59:3940-point second quarter combined.
59:41I think that's what we can expect going forward.
59:44Boston closed the quarter on a 7-0 run.
59:47Jamal Mosley had a chat with Lauren Jabara during the half.
59:52And what did you have to learn there, Lauren?
59:53He did BA.
59:54I asked how to get the others involved besides Franz and Paolo.
59:58He's had great...
