00:00Nakipagtulungan ang Department of Budget and Management sa mga pribadong sektor tulad ng Republic Asia sa programa nitong Pay It Forward

00:19Mula ng maupo si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., tinrabaho na nito na mapalakas ang internet connectivity sa bansa

00:26sa ilalim ng digitalization program nito. Ayon sa ulat ng isang online data portal, 18.8 million Filipinos nitong January 2025 ay walang access sa internet.

00:38Ayon naman sa isang pag-aaral ng PIDS noong 2019, umataas na internet subscription at equipment at walang internet service sa isang area

00:47ang mga dahilan kung bakit walang internet connection ang isang bahay.

00:51Dahil dito, ang Department of Budget and Management ay nakipagkolaborasyon sa mga pribadong sektor tulad ng Republic Asia sa programa nitong Pay It Forward

01:01para makapagbigay ng internet connection at mga device sa mga paaralan at mga istudyante sa Marawi.

01:08One of the first reforms that the President did when we started the administration is to push for the PPP code.

01:16Ito po yung public-private partnership, which shows that we need the help and support of the private sector for us to be able to fulfill our mandate.

01:28So I'm very happy because she's actually really telling us that this school, this community, this particular school are the most need of this connectivity and tablet.

01:40So I'm very happy that I'm working with Secretary Mina with this, with Marawi and Mindanao.

01:48Ayon kay pangandaman, maliban sa Marawi, plano rin anya nila na iikot sa buong Mindanao ang nasabing programa

01:55para lahat ng mga mag-aaral at mga eskwelahan sa nasabing regyon ay di na nahihirapan sa internet connection.

02:02Definitely po. Sa BARM po, I think yun yung first launch natin sa Lano del Sur because pakiusap po natin yan because diyan po tayo nang galing.

02:13So yun po yung sisimula natin and eventually, I hope po, with the support of our partners here,

02:20we can also bring the PPP forward to Maguindanao, Cotabato, Tawi-Tawi, Sulu, and yeah, the rest of the BARM region.

02:30Ang PAY-IT Forward ay nakipag-ugnayan na din sa DepEd kung saan nagbigay ng isang daang devices at tatlong starlings sa Cebu.

02:40But this time we are trying to work out more tablets and more starlings. I think we will have more to give in the Marawi.

02:49Naniniwala ang DBM na ang pagkakaroon ng magandang internet connectivity lalo na sa mga liblib ng lugar ay makakatulong para mapabuti ang edukasyon ng mga kabataang Pilipino.
