A prosecutor has told the WA Supreme Court a man who drove over a police officer should be found guilty of manslaughter because he'd changed his version of what happened. Constable Anthony Woods died after he was run over during a traffic stop in 2023, the driver has said he lost control of the vehicle after he was tasered.

00:00Regan Chown was the driver of a stolen car which had come to a stop in the Perth suburb of Ascot.

00:14He told the jury that Mr Chown drove over Constable Anthony Woods after he'd led police on a high-speed chase.

00:49Mr Chown's lawyer Paul Bevilacqua told the jury his client had said from the start
00:53that as soon as he was hit with the taser, his foot went to the floor, straight onto the accelerator.
