Al Qarra - Tourism, a pillar of the Egyptian economy, has witnessed a steep fall since the revolution in 2011. Two years on, the country still faces instability, with regular clashes between protesters and security forces. Since coming to power in 2012, the freedom and justice party, the political arm of the Muslim brotherhood, has failed to curb insecurity impacting the tourism sector.
